If you are a Punjabi food lover and want some authentic taste of punjabi food, the perfect place for it. Parathas there have options and also some combos are also very good.
Cravings makes you do what not, fine Sunday morning, craving for Aloo paratha made us visit Jassi de parathe. The moment we entered, it was relaxing, the ambience was based on village. Good sitting arrangements, neat and clean place, ambience was awesome. They serve you the parathas in Punjabi style. We ordered “Aloo paratha, Gobhi paratha, Amritsari Paratha, Pyaz Paratha each with 2 buttermilk”, the taste was good but was not complimenting with the price of Paratha. They default serve Paratha with curd, achaar and 2 types of chutney. The taste was good. For these 4 parathas n 2 buttermilk, it charged us appx. 1000₹. One must visit to enjoy the taste of Paratha nd the beautiful ambience…
If you hail from North India and expect to have authentic North Indian cuisine like Chole, kulche, bhatoore, etc.then your desired expectations would not be met. It's quite the best in terms of other restaurants offering the same North Indian cuisine.
I loved this place. It was my first visit. I tried kulchas and stuffed parathyroid with Lassi. Food was awesome and Lassi was amazing. Ambience was superb. If you are looking for good food with best ambience.thn this is the place.
A very cozy and cool place to hangout or dine. I have tried their food many times by ordering/delivery mode. Yesterday i visited the place in person and food it an amazing place to hangout. Management is very good as you can wait and the queue management personnel will contact you as the table is ready. Located at Alkapuri which one of well known areas in Vadodara. Their menu has a variety of dishes, mostly North Indian cuisine and Indian street food variants. Staff is also amicable and provides good food suggestions.
Worst food, jassi de parathe Naam Bade Darshan Chote - they don't serve hot food, moreover you have to wait too long for the food, Apart from this manager behaviour was also rude. So choose wisely where to go for dinner, don't go to jassi de parathe!
Everything is over priced even quality and quantity is not very good even they charge extra for water they don't even tell that they will charge extra for water although even they charge extra no issues but 70 rupees for bottle seriously, and experience was also really not that great Really not satisfied with @jassi De paratha (only visit but don't eat)
I went there yesterday. After waiting 35mins we got a chance to enter. It's my first experience. What a beautiful and unique atmosphere! I just loved the entire decoration. We had winter special 1. Sarso da saag and makki de roti combo 2. Pyaj palak pakoda (Superb) 3. Gobi paratha with lots of butter 4. Tandoori lachchader paratha 5. Mushroom matar bhuna masala 6. Hot gulab jamun 7. Gajar ka halwa Perfectly cooked & nice taste.enough quantity.professional & well-behaved service provided by their staffs.only a little bit overpriced menu.otherwise u must visit
I am a gujarati & whatever experience of punjabi food which I have has been gained eating punjabi in Gujarat only. No doubt the quality of food was good and it must be authentic taste which people in Punjab might be eating but honestly I found the food was not tasty the masala used in the sabji were blank. We as gujarati understand Punjabi sabji should be full of masalas, ghee/oil and should have that tangy and juicy flavour which was completely missing. Many items are overpriced and the taste level is not upto the mark. It seems that this food is kept blank for the foreign customers. We had paneer sabji & aloo kulcha that was not good but the aloo paratha was nice. If you visit this place only have paratha's.service also was okaish.
Today we ordered parcel of aloo paratha for Sunday lunch to enjoy food. It was very salty & we are forced to throw out it. We surprised how such renowned restaurant can serve such a bad tea food. We had to order food from other place unfortunately. Very shocking experience.
It was the bad experience with ur restro.as per ur restro name Jassi de Paratha means Punjabi taste n flavour we will Njoy bt its totally not Punjabi taste.some thing local food n taste which was very worst sabji. Paneer tawawala really no taste, no aroma nothing.pls dnt change the taste every time different taste on ordering particular one sabji
Without any doubt this place is really good for having authentic punjabi parathas. They have vivid varieties of parathas which tastes really yummy, but the cheery on cake would be their patiala lassi. Just go with friends, have a bet and see who can complete the whole glass on it's own.
Well, when everything is good then why rate 3 stars? When we talk about restaurants, its not just food but also the overall service.
Firstly I had to wait for almost 1.5 hrs to get the table, then even after getting the table it took them more than 45 mints to deliver my food. We order the tandoori roti afterwards but again it took another 20 mints to arrive. I dont think a restaurant with such repo shall have this kinda service.
Thus, it lacks in service point, but when it comes to food this place is really good.
Really amazing paranthas. Im not muchbof a fan of veg food, but i must say it took me by surprise to have tasted such amazing paranthas. One advise, do dip the parantha in butter that they provide for it to melt in your mouth
This place has got one of the best North Indian cuisine dishes, although they could still enhance the taste Cuz it'd be worth it. It's also pocket friendly if you are a group who wants to save and eat more! Some might not prefer the dark ambience. A must go for parathas!
Only the homemade butter with minimal to no salt and paratha was tasty. Did not feel satisfied with other food items. And its expensive. Theme wise, its a good setting.
I have been to this place multiple times. The ambience is good and gives you a desi feel. Paranthas are okay. Personally I didn't like it much but i loved their biryani. It's worth trying. The staff is courteous. I haven't been here recently so I am not sure about dine-in right now but earlier its difficult to get a table here if you go on peak times. Either go early or go late.
Worst experience ever. Very disappointed. Vero poor service you have to wait 30 min just to get a simple Paratha and it was Tuesday in weekend you understand that still management was poor I can't even imagine what would happen if we go on weekends. Quality of food is good not great if you compare it from the price ratio.
The dish that I loved the most in this restaurant is not paratha but biryani. Their dum biryani is very tasty and worth trying. You can order it and they will send it in a matka overed with aata. The packaging and presentation was great. I have also been to this restaurant before lockdown and i would say that their ambience will remind you of a village setting. Its all very pretty.
I had placed an order through Zomato. I had called the restaurant and confirmed that they use as little oil as possible.and to make it less spicy as well. The amount of oil floating on the curries just shows how they disregard health of people they are serving.and also that they don't listen to customer's request. I don't know how it's rated highly. Plus they come under high tier restaurants and are super expensive. I would prefer eating at roadside dhaba who understand customer's food preferences rather than eating here. Never ordering again from this restaurant.
Special message: To the person who manages the restaurant and answered the phone regarding food instructions, you don't deserve to be working at the restaurant. You aren't doing your job right.
Mediocre service from a disinterested untrained churlish staff that feels it obliges its clientele by carrying food to the table. Avoid the Malpua, it is a uncooked Puri dipped in sugar syrup, microwaved, and foisted onto the unfortunate diner that ordered it. A good brand going to seed, time for management to wake up!
We are new to vadodara and tried jassi de parathe restaurant for dum aalo punjabi and paneer kadhai the taste was fantastic but as per the price the quantity is very less. Hope the owner sees the review and do something about the quantity. That is y 4
Great time, very serine peaceful atmosphere and excellent table service. We had some much needed quality time to gather after very long interval of 10 months stranded in 4 walls at home. Although we were time bound bcoz of night curfew but, shall surely return and have very peaceful time at this affordable beautiful place.
The worst experience had in my life, keep waiting waiting waiting. Their actual priority to allow food to group of people, not individual. If they claim for good food, Never the less other also
Jassi de parathe is one of the best place where you can have most delicious north indian cuisine. Staff is also very good and supportive. Seating arrangements are also quite cosy and comfortable. Really loved the vibes.
This is the best place to have a full pledged meal. Their stuffed parathas and kulchas are the best of the best which you can get in Vadodara. The staff is also well trained and the thing I liked most about the staff is that they will first ask if ground sitting will work for us or not. This may be a small thing but it really shows the professionalism of the staff
I was here quite a few time ago and had a wonderful time with the friends Enjoyed the dinner The atmosphere is very quite and pleasant Idle to have at evening with friends and family Lighting is very good for capturing picture perfect moment And lastly about the food and it was very very good If you are a paneer lover then definitely try paneer parantha its quite appropriate size for 1 serving Enjoy the time
