Prag Mahal was the seat and residence of the rulers of Kutch, it is now being renovated after suffering devastation due to the 2001 Bhuj Earthquake

The palace is characterized by its distinctive blue and while exterior, adorned with ornate carvings and balconies. The interior is equally captivating, with opulent rooms and corridors filled with artistic detailing. The highlight of Parag Mahal is the Darbar Hall, a grand chamber with beautiful stained glass windows, vintage chandeliers, and royal artifacts.

This is a newly restored attraction of Bhuj. The palace was extensively damaged due to the earth quake.
The palace has now been restored but for those who have visited palaces of Rajasthan this is nothing in comparison. The high point is the tower of the palace. The architecture is of mixed type with Rajasthani, kathiyawad and British styles of const used together.
Tickets are compulsory and there are restrictions on photography inside the palace.

If you are in Bhuj you must visit The Prag Mahal a 19th-century palace built by Ruler of Kutch. The Italian architecture really looks great. If you are a history lover or fond of architecture then you must visit this place.
Earthquake has damaged the palace clock tower.
Ticket is reasonable.
It has Car parking within the premises.
Drinking water facilities.
Souvenir shops.
Old coin seller.
Adjacent Aaina Mahal is also a good to go place with collection of old antique.

Parag mahal is very beautiful there are things related to king - queen and old time things and information related to it.

Wonderful historical place in Bhuj. It has a very good architecture and the palace is also well maintained now. It has the clock tower which is must see. During the earthquake the palace suffered a lot of damage but now it is all restored. Adjoining to it is Aaina Mahal. The ground floor is given as banquet hall for personal functions of common people. Must visit when in Bhuj.

Good place for visit but Mantance or mangement is poor. Need to improvement.or vaha pe time 9: 30 ka likha hai but 10 baje fir bhi ticket counter open nahi huva. Such a bad experience.

Worth a money

I've seen many forts and castles in Rajasthan and Gujarat but this fort has its uniqueness as can't just see the ornaments and castles but you can feel it as you can roam around on your own and also don't forget to see again mahal. The entry fee is very nominal around 40₹ and you got to see this

In 2010, a part Prag Mahal was devastated due to the earthquake and the same is under renovation for quite a long time. The palace became immensely popular after part of the Bollywood blockbuster 'Lagaan' was shot here.

Parag Mahal and Aaina Mahal are situated adjacent to each other. Coming back to Parag Mahal, it holds a important piece of history and showcase the luxurious life the Royal family used to live. From big chandeliers to a 50 seating dining hall, it have so many pieces which will be an astonishing experience. Again, it is really beautiful and a must place to visit when you are in Bhuj.

Beautiful unexpected place at Bhuj. Much to tell about regions past and unique architecture to admire upon. It takes 2 hours to complete both the complexes and it's worth visiting. The Darbar hall and Aiyana mahal are must visit places here.

Prag Mahal is a palace which was built in 19th century. It is located next to the popular Aina Mahal in Bhuj of Gujarat. Situated in the heart of the city, Prag Mahal is easily accessible. It can be absolute beauty of Bhuj but not manage well.
You are able to view bhuj city from the clock tower.

All the historic things along with their stories were giving great vibes and were kept really carefully

The palace is nice (mediocre) to visit but is extremely costly at 250 rupees per person. Not that great experience. The collection inside is irrelevant to some extent. The architecture is something worth of admiration. Rest the ticket pricing is too high for such a mediocre monument.

It is just beside aina mahal and one more kind of museum. Here we get to see a big hall, clock tower, steps and corners suitable for photography (have to pay for photography). The only attractive fact is, this palace is used for the shoot of Lagaan movie. The tower has got a crack and repair works were in process when visited. Overall better than Aina Mahal's visit

Good place for the ancient thing lovers. Its well maintained and there is also a old tower clock which is still working.

Interesting palace to visit! Can spend 2-3 hour if you are interested in either history or architecture or if you are good observer.there are many small things which is not displayed openly but kept is glass cupboards which usually people ignore so keep your eyes open.other place in Bhuj city is Chatterdi where you can find destructed structure but no guide or any informative board on the site but if you will go through all pictures (hanged on a wall) carefully you will get info of that place in Pragmahal

Good place for history and architect lover, but they have entry fee for this place and you want to take photo you need to pay extra amount for that also.if you coming from the place where already British architect monuments are present then this would be waste of money for you.

Private museum with lodes of History.

It's a private museum of King of Bhuj. Collection of King is displayed here. Not much variety, but definitely a good place to know history and culture of Kuchh.

A Beautiful Palace, but needs some major repairs at least on the outside walls and the top. The interiors are great and quite a bit of historical stuff that is wonderful to look at and learn about. It took us approximately 45 minutes to complete going around Palace. If you are visiting Bhuj, give the Palace a look-see.it's worth it. Sharing some unedited pics of the Palace. Next door to the Aina Mahal, in the same walled compound, is the giant Prag Mahal, which may at first seem slightly out of place at the far western edge of India, looking more appropriate in France. But then again, globalization is not a new phenomenon.
This is a palace commissioned by King Pragmalji in the 1860s, designed by Colonel Henry Saint Wilkins in the Italian Gothic style and built in the middle of Bhuj next to the Aina Mahal. While little about it may seem Indian, there are elements; see if you can find them. In the courtyard behind the palace, there is a small Hindu temple with very nicely carved stonework; the caretaker is sometimes available for more information.

Unique European architecture for an Indian fort. Unfortunately the tower was half destroyed during the Bhuj earthquake around a decade back. They have taken some remedial measures to repair it, but looks risky.

Pragmahal palace is one of oldest palace located near to bhuj railway station and worth to visit.
The palace is made of italian marble and sandstone from Rajasthan. It has high tower with clock tht featured in lagaan movie if you remember. There is entry time to visit, i think entry restricted in afternoon and you have to pay entree fee. Kindly have a look on pictures and like.
Tip: Dabeli and bhelpuri is famous there, give a try and you find it yumm.

So place is very old, historic that's why it's just visit. Free bollywood movies were also shoot here another reason. Don't forget its shut between 12: 15pm to 3pm. One of the key thing is clock tower, there are only two such in India one is Mumbai and other is this one. One can go upto top most point from where one can see City.

Very nice place to visit in bhuj, the museum contains very precious memories of old times, definitely visitors will feel wonder by watching the things.

A palace of the then King of Bhuj. Well maintained. Kind of museum where all their daily stuff and royal things can be seen at there proper places. Major attractions are the Huge and Royal Darbar Hall, which boasts the beauty it carries. Followed by two separate rooms where most of the kingly articles are kept. You can see his chariot and palenquins (palkhi in hindi). Two huge life size mirrors.one in darbar hall and other in queens room. Some old photographs and paintings of king and palace. Beside resides a 5 storey tall clock tower. Its a place to be to get a birds eye view of Bhuj.the complete city. It also boasts a clock driven by weights. A very few of its kind.

Now about visiting time: 9: 30am to 12: 15 pm and 3 pm to 5: 45 pm.so plan your travel accordingly.

There is a 30rs charge for adults and extra 50rs per camera for photography.

You can easily spend 2hrs here.

Worth seeing if you are in the area but you probably wouldn't come just to see this. Severe damage due to earthquake. Wasn't sure if it was safe to climb the clock tower due to the large cracks in that part of the building but we did it anyway and the view was great.

Not worth to watch.i dont think.anybody will go to see tht place only, things are royal but not properly maintained, no professional staff were there or I can say tht there is lack of staff. Only we can see dust all around. You can see broke chairs and torn clothes. Complete waste of time to go
