Rani no Hajiro

Which means Queen’s Tomb in Gujarati, holds the graves of the Queen consorts of Ahmed shah. These richly carved mausoleum displays a fine interlaying of mother of pearls n their carvings boast a beautiful coming together of Jain, Hindu, and Islamic aesthetic influences.

Parking is a headache, but place has good option, I would suggest, go via cab or bike, avoid four wheel, it has very nice collection of accessories for woman.

Its located in the old city and in a very crowded locality. The point from where the cab drops you to the monument is a small local market selling oxidised jewellry. The main door was locked denying access to the inside. The monument is not well maintained and looked like an old tattered house.

Rani no hajiro is a heritage property but unfortunately no one care about it. It's good place for navratri shopping also. Must visit once

One of the relatively untouched gems of the city. Beautiful stone jali work and tombs of varying sizes denoting importance and age of the person it commemorates. It's really beautiful how history and life can coexist in this city. Vital place for anyone seeking an authentic Amdavad experience.

Its called Heritage but all surroundings are occupied by street wanderers and you cant even read the history of it.
