If you are new to this city then probably you will find difficulty in car and bike but this place is fully equipped with multistorey car and bike parking exactly opposite to this park entry and from this parking you can directly enter into the park premises from the first floor. Outside eatables are allowed and food served on this site probably you may not like it and so suggestions take it from outside.

It is a very nice place, it is fun during evening hours but people are also very happy on Sundays.

Quite a place would say. Being a tourist found this attraction quite beautiful, serene and green. Though i visited on a public holiday but yes it was not a stick stick crowd it's running so u enjoy. A family trip or alone it's beautiful, green and calm. The bridge is quite a view and u feel good with the colours and beauty surrounded by. The kids park was well maintained and beautiful. Sabarmati Riverfront is now world famous place to hang out. It has many places to visit like flower park, walk way, sea plane and many others are in line. The walk ways are full of people on morning and evening time. That shows popularity of place.

Moreover, There are mainly two part of riverfront East and West. West side is more developed. East side has also some attractions. There is very famous Sunday market on east bank and from there anyone can easily access old city.

Riverfront has created easy way for person wants to go Vasna to Vadaj or Vasna to airport. Because of these two roads person can reach anywhere in minutes.

As there are two sides of coin, many time you can face police unnecessarily. They stands near Sardar bridge, way to Khanpur and may be other places too on east side. I don’t remember exactly for west side.

It's very beautiful place in Ahmedabad. Their are walkway for walking, boat riding, cycling, and awesome Riverfront park garden with many small rides for children and also like a small picnic place in center of Ahmedabad.

It is new Ahmedabad where people can do cycling and even have there leisure time spend there sabarmati riverfront offers boat ride, cycle rental available at place. Many eateries also available.

The view at night is incredible. It is quite peaceful and serene to sit here staring at water moving and the lights twinkling.

The garden on riverfront is nothing but Gang of Thieves. Boating was not working and stiil it was not told to us even after asking abt it specifically. Basxxxds!

Very very good creation on the bank of river Sabarmati, now Sabarmati has water of Narmada river so all the 12 months, we find water in the river, so the walkway prepared so much looking extremely good. So many visitors come and see this. In Ahmedabad, now after children's amusement park, this is also very very nice looking. In past, in summer days, people find empty Sabarmati but now very very good water of Narmada.

There's good ambience there, while the whole city is basically pretty warm you can find cool air blowing at night time. You'll enjoy your alone time here. There's the MyByk cycles which can be hired and go around the Riverfront at a good pace.

The Sabarmati river is a monsoon-fed river which has a total catchment area of 10,370 sq km, out of the total basin area of 27,820 sq km at Ahmedabad. Before the project, the width of the river varied from 300 m to 425 m. The Dharoi Dam constructed in 1976 upstream of Ahmedabad controls water and protects from flooding while Vasna Barrage constructed in 1976 downstream retains water in the river along the city banks and diverts it through Fatehwadi canal for irrigation. The Narmada Canal, which crosses Sabarmati a few kilometres upstream from the city, is part of a larger canal network of Sardar Sarovar Dam. The canal can feed excess water to the river and maintains the level of water in the river.

The modern city of Ahmedabad was founded in 1411 along the east bank of the Sabarmati river. The river had been the important source of water, economic and recreational activities in past. Over the years, the city expanded and the river was neglected. The river became polluted due to flow of untreated sewage through storm water lines and dumping of industrial waste. The slum encroachment along the banks were prone to floods and had no infrastructure. The river became inaccessible for general public and cause of health hazards. So it was proposed to develop the bank of river to turn it into major urban asset.

The first proposal for developing the riverfront was given in 1961 by prominent citizens of the city. French architect Bernard Kohn proposed an ecological valley in Sabarmati basin stretched from Dharoi Dam to Gulf of Cambay in 1960s. In 1964, he proposed Integrated Planning & Development of Sabarmati Riverfront by reclaiming 30 hectares of land. The project was considered feasible in 1966 by the Government of Gujarat. Later he distanced himself from the project citing difference between his proposal and the project being implemented. In 1976, the Riverfront Development Group proposed an incremental approach for the construction. In 1992, National River Conservation Plan proposed the construction of sewers and pumping stations to reduce water pollution.
