Don’t go here.
Even after paying for premium rooms with centralized AC.you will get a leaking roof room. And on complaints you will get the answer “ itna tha paani aayega”. Its a beach front place but all cons, staff is not nice, slow or lazy, poor customer service. Each rooms requires revamp. Toilets are nasty. Floors throughout is damp and slippery.

2. Better choice than other hotels
3. Poor furniture and maintenance. For 3000 per night people expect reasonable quality in room, however seems it is missing. It seems more to with not so committed management. Significant improvement requires in management first rather building.
4. There is one resaurent, no choice basis you have to use it. However why a simple gujarati thali can be served similar to one served in Ahmedabad. Tea Milk is not available 24 by 7.

Amazing location and excellent building design like 5 star but poor management and maintenance won't give 3 star. If we just need to survive (not to enjoy) it's perfect place.

One if the best Guest House very close to the Somanath Temple and on the sea shore.there only a single wall between the temple and the guesthouse

They have served food very bad quality. After after complaining they did not listen. Some staff are very arrogant. Hope it will be resolved

Good hotel near sea shore and for tourist its awesome place little high budget hotel but overall food and service awesome.

Nice Place to have Darshan stay. Basic rooms but neat and clean. Canteen type restaurant. Best thing is the view of sea from balcony.

The location is the only good aspect. The rooms are old now and have rusted items in them including the bathroom. The service staff is decent.

We had 3 room and two of those rooms had leakage with rainwater coming in from the balcony window frames.

The restaurant is decent as well.

Overall, pick this hotel if location and the view is of utmost importance to you and if you can tolerate the above mentioned issues in the rooms

Excellent location just behind Sri Somanath temple. All rooms are sea facing. If booked online then colle the 4 wheel vehicle pass from Booking Trust office near Leelavati Guest House. The restaurant offers awesome food.

I believe this is the best location in Somnath after the Somnath temple ofcourse.

View / Location: Its situated just behind the Somnath temple and have a amazing view of sea and the newly constructed sea side walkway. (For the walkway you will have to get a Rs 5/- person ticket from the reception before entering and ID card of one person is required)

Rooms: Rooms are very spacious. However in AC rooms you won't get electric kettle and they claim to have wifi but it doesn't work either. Apart from this you will definitely enjoy spectacular sea view from your room / Balcony. Cleanliness is near to ok.

Food: They have variety of food options available, ranging from ala carte to buffet and taste wise its good.

Parking: They have a decent parking space but remember you will have to get a parking pass for your vehicle from Somnath trust office which is near to lilavati Guest house as there are restirctions in place for pvt vehicles on the road leading to Sagar darshan.

Tips
1. There is sound and light show during evening at Somnath temple and it can be easily viewed from the premises of Sagar darshan.

2. ID card of all the persons is mandatory. You can even send a mail on their emailid if you don't have a hard copy.

3. A prior online booking is advisable

4. The view from this place is amazing and thus plan your booking in a way that you get to spend the evening here.

5. There is lot of foul smell of fish around the area. However it is common across most of the sea side area in somnath. (i.e it is not specifc to this place)

Rooms are quite huge and average priced.
Best part is you get a view of the Sea Face from gallery from most rooms.
Food is reasonable and Tasty.
Also, the best part is this hotel is in the vicinity of Somnath Temple and just takes a few mins to visit the temple from here.

Very poor service and bad behaviour of the staff (esp, Mr. Vijay). My mother got very ill after eating the restaurant food. They wouldn't refill water in the rooms. Their charges are as per a 3 star hotel, however, the place is not run properly. The location of the hotel is so nice, if only, they could train the staff and have basic food hygiene. Very disappointed!

Awesome place to stay and have fun of Adventure sea rides. Para sailing, Banana ride, Sky ride, Speed boat ride had given me thrilling Experience.

Vip guest house in somnath. Food quality is good. N view from guest house is nice. Actually you can only dine also.

Very good. This guest house has good amenities. House keeping is good. Location is most attractive piont. Good for week end.

Apart from the locality, there is nothing over her to stay, if you are ok with the fish smell then you can stay, the rooms and the bathroom are not to the point. Staff is good, but the stay charges are as equal as 3 star or more, its better to book sarovar portico in this budget.

If u want to stay near temple and sea view rooms then it is bestl located. Room start from 2500 onwards if u can afford it it is best to stay in somnath.
Staff is very polite, all facilities are good, cleanliness there is dining hall where cheap food is available. Food quality is good but they use less salt and spices

All i had reached their 5.30am the receptionist person are any other staff did not gave me room i stayed outside for 4hours. They just gave me one werst reply sir room is cleaning so just wait. They gave me room after 4hours. It was my bad that i booked their for staying thier.

It's bit costly during season time, however worth the money considering the location and service offered.
Don't forget to claim deposit refund while checking out.

The place offers mesmerizing experience rolling in divinity of the almighty, serenity of the nature and simplicity of the Gujarati people. The Sagar Darshan Guest House is a premier property of Somnath Mandir Trust and offers very good boarding lodging facilities. Their in-house restaurant located in the basement offers lip smacking delicacies at very reasonable prices. Cleanliness is the best, I've ever witnessed at a religious place with significant daily footfall. Recommended to have advance reservation. Staff is courteous and approachable at all times. At least plan a trip of 2 days to absorb completely the vibe this shrine offers. Beach is around 5-8 mins walk from this place. I stayed at room which is on top floor. The place is really overhyped, the rooms were not clean. The furniture kept in the room was rusted, I had to ask the housekeeping staff to remove the swivel chair from our room because it had so much rust on the metallic parts that it felt disgusting to even look at it. The room was full of ants, we realized it later when all our bags got infected by ants in the night. This place comes under the Somnath trust but regardless, the prices charged were more of a hotel while the services were not of hotel quality. The toilet commodes are as such that half of the commode is always filled with water which feels really not-so-pleasing to the eye. The plate in which we served paranthas in the restaurant here was cracked. Most of the tables had leftover food kept on them in the restaurant, it didn't get cleared on time.

A very calm and peaceful place where you can get a peaceful stay with the very beautiful sea view from each and every room and also at very reasonable price compared to any other good hotel and also very good parking area where you don't need to think if you have any Suv, Sedan or any type of car don't worry you will get a great parking space and also there is restaurant on the ground floor where you can eat kathiyawadi, Punjabi, South Indian food and also its good in taste but they need to increase the staff members of restaurant because its not enough to handle large amount pf crowd there other than that good taste of food. We had enjoyed a lot in this beautiful place.

Hotel is good, but the check-in process is time-consuming due to negligence of the hotel staff.
The hotel staff is unhelpful. Reaching to hotel is horrible, very narrow road and only auto can reach there.
There is seperate system to get vehicle pass and they are not issuing vehicle pass online.

The best option for hotels in Somnath. Don't expect great infrastructure and the room service is minimal but the location beats everything. The dine-in restaurant is also the best amongst all the restaurants with dinner being served till almost 11 PM.

Worst experience ever. No power backuo for completely aircondinal rooms. Sincle last 2 hours no power supply in ac and ac is stop. Have also requested them last night and they are sure that no power cut in this premises. And at 4 to 5: 30 am no person is there on reception to reply properly

Sea facing rooms view is wonderful but the room cleanliness and service was very poor. Need to improve.

Not recommended! Rooms are not maintained, in this price you can get a better Hotel Room. The only pros of this GH is, location. Its very near to temple.

Overall it's good because sea view is mesmerizing, but you can't keep your balcony open coz smell of fisheries is irritating.

A very good option to stay in Somnath nearby to somnath temple, View of sea is awesome from this location and one of the best place to View sunset, this guest house is having an in-house restaurant which is good and rates are also very reasonable overall a good place with nice ambiance and eye pleasing view of sea from rooms, one can consider it for a night as rooms charges are a bit on higher side.

Very Nice view from every room and Restaurant also, and attached to The Somnath Mahadev Tample but than even your Tample entry is common, Nice food and taste as very affordable Menu in Breakfast Lunch and Dinner, both in room and Restaurant dine options avail, And yes room is spacious but not very luxury, but having big balcony to Sea Facing, So over all best stay in Somnath. I booked sagar darshan for my mother and father. I am not personally visit the place. But according to their experience it is the best stay option. Near the temple neet and clean.

This is one of the Guest Houses run by Somnath Trust and is probably the best place to stay in Somnath. Check-in time is 1100 hrs and check-out time 1000 hrs. Rooms are spacious with AC and hot/cold water in the bathroom. Mandir is hardly 2 minutes walk from here. One can enjoy excellent view of sea from this property.

The room was cheap, air conditioned wasn't working properly lift was broke, poor maintenance n they charged us extra for sheets we changed we ask for recipt they refused to give one don't stay here this is worst hotel I ever been.
