A well maintained & administered memorial. Once you are inside you will have ample written text to read & old reference photographs on the wall around you which will transport you to the pre-independence era & walk you through the various struggles & achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Even many articles & artifacts from his life have been well preserved & on display.

The entire premises has a tranquil feel to it with lush greenery, peacocks & squirrels running around. There is also a small food cafe inside.

Once inside buy a ticket with nominal charges of INR 20/- per adult (INR 30/- for the evening 3D light show).

Only regret was to see that even on a weekend the footfall is quite less. More people should be inclined to visit such memorials to grasp the essence of how we got our independence. Moreover encourage the children to visit. Not only will this impart knowledge but in turn will help maintain & run this place for years to come.

Everybody should watch 30 min documentary on Sardar Patel ji

This place is very neat and clean. It has statues of Gandhiji and Sardar Vallabh bhai patel. The museum is open to public but we’ve to take tickets in order to get a tour of the museum. The place is very calm and situated in the area of Shahibaug. The place has ample parking space and also the food quality and quantity is very decent and also it is very budget friendly. Camera is allowed over here.

It was my best ever experience in my lifetime.
On 26th January 2020 i arrived here on my car from nashik that too in 6.30 hours as road were nice.
1) I suggest you to take 380₹ wala tickets so that you have easy access to all the sightseeing here i.e. Dam, flower garden, etc
2) if any one want to take helicopter ride it will cost you 2600-2800 per head
3) Food here is nice tasty but prices are very high as u cant take anything to statue area exept baby food and medicine you have no option to go at food court.
4) Staff is very friendly and helpfull
5) Dont miss the light show at 7 to 7: 30 half hour show breathtaking it is included in tiket

It is very well maintained. Its situated on the main road. Facilities like free drinking water and toilets are also provided. Trees and flowers add to it's beauty. Also the temperature of the Museum is comparatively cooler than the city. Its very less crowded. Trees are very well planted.one can see the full life story of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel here. Photography is allowed outside the Museum i.e. Of the Buildings and sculptures. But it's strictly banned inside the museum. It has a theater and a multimedia interaction room from where we can hear Sardar Patel's various speeches.

Sardar Patel Nation Memorial is located in Ahmedabad just opposite to Circuit House on the main road of city which is easily accessible by all. This memorial is good place for students to show up and understand the importance of the memorial. Sardar Patel is also known as the Iron Man of the nation who had united the nation. One must visit this place on weekends and also motivate other to do something for nation rather than criticising. Be constructive and spread constructive ideas for peace.

சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் வாழ்ந்த வீடு, பள்ளி முதலான கட்டிடங்களின் சிற்றுருவாக்க வடிவங்கள் (miniature) இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. சோம்நாத் கோவிலை சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் புணரமைப்பதற்கு முன்னும் பின்னுமான நிலைகள் சிற்றுருவாக்கங்களாக (miniature) புனையப்பட்டுள்ளன.

சர்தார் பேடலின் வரலாறு புகைப்படங்களின் வழி பகுதி பகுதியாக சிறு அளவில் விளக்கப்படுள்ளது. சர்தார் படேல் பயன்படுத்தி ஆடைகள், அவர் எழுதிய கடிதங்கள், கடிதங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கும் குழாய் வடிவ உலோக உறைகள், அவர் பயன்படுத்திய இராட்டை, ஆகிய வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

அவர் சிறையிலிருந்தபோது தங்கி இருந்த அறை அவர் பயன்படுத்திய பொருட்களைக் கொண்டே சிறிதாக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

சர்தார் படேல் நினைவாக அரசு வெளியிட்ட நாணயத்தின் பெரிய வடிவம், தபால் தலைகள், அஞ்சல் அட்டைகள் ஆகியன இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.

இரவீந்திரநாத் தாக்கூர் அவர்களுக்கென்று தனித்த அறை ஒதுக்கப்பட்டு அவர் சார்ந்த பொருட்கள் ஆவணப்படுத்தப்பட்டு இருக்கன்றன. அதில் அவரின் இள வயது புகைப்படங்கள், எழுதிய கடிதங்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.

இறுதியில் சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத் தியாகிகளின் படங்கள் சுற்று பிரகாரத்தை அலங்கரிக்கின்றன. அதில் தமிழகத்தின் சார்பாக அண்ணல் அம்பேத்கர், கர்ம வீரர் காமராசர், மூதறிஞர் இராஜாஜியின் படங்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.

ஆங்கிலேயர்கள் சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத் தியாகிகளுக்கு இழைத்த கொடுமைகளாக கைதிகள் செக்கிழுத்தல் மற்றும் தேங்காய் உரித்தல் போன்ற புனையப்பட்ட புகைக்ப்படம் ஒன்று இடம்பெறுகிறது. ஆனால், அதில் வ. உ. சிதம்பரனாரின் பெயரோ, வீரமுரசு சுப்பிரமணிய சிவம் அவர்களின் பெயரோ இடம்பெறவில்லை. மகாகவி பாரதியார் மற்றும் முத்துராமலிங்கத் தேவர் படங்களும் இடம்பெறவில்லை.

மாவீரர் நேதாஜி சுபாஷ் சந்திரபோஸ் மற்றும் வீர சாவக்கர் படங்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.

பல சமஸ்தானங்களின் மன்னர்களின் படங்களும் இடம்பெற்றிருக்கின்றன. இத்தோடு அருங்காட்சியகம் நிறைவுறுகிறது.

It's not just a museum, it's a science in itself where you will feel motivated and proud to know the real hardships, sacrifices, cultures and rare qualities of our Iron Man " Sardar Patel ".

The Moti Shahi Mahal is a palace built by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan between 1618 and 1622. It now hosts the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial,  which is a museum and exhibition centre dedicated to Vallabhbhai Patel located in Shahibaug,  Ahmedabad,  Gujarat, near Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. It is surrounded by well laid gardens.
The palace was built in 1622 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan  (1616-1622) to give work to the poor during a season of scarcity[citation needed]. The Shahibaug gardens of the palace were in the seventeenth century famous, the resort of the whole city, and one of its chief ornaments. A century and a half later (1781), though the well was in ruins and the fountains and water-courses broken, the gardens could still boast of some noble cypresses, cedars, palms, sandals, and cassias, with mango, tamarind, and other spreading fruit trees. Besides the gardens, there was, a little beyond, an older garden called the Andhari Badi, or dark garden, with large ruins. The palace, always kept in good repair, is thus described by Col. James Grant Forbes in 1781.

Very neat and clean premises, located at a very good location. Has ample parking space for two and four wheelers. Very large air conditioned hall for functions. Has a separate eating place at the back side for large catering.

2. Pioneered the idea of each India state to develop one major irrigation purpose dam.his role in development of Narmada is well known.but was instrumental in conceptualisation of Bakhra Naval, Koyna, Nagar arjuna etc.the benefit of which crores of Indians are enjoying.
Suggestions: need to make it more interactive on line of Prince of Wales museum in Mumbai which has digitalisation of info as well as small games, puzzles to involve kids and get them interested and ask questions.

This place if full of historical evidence and cultural designs. Very well maintained and designed. Amazing experience. The museum is very informative and the information is provided in most interesting and attractive way. Everything is presented technologically in most modern style. If youhave young children, just take them there- they will have fun. A quite interesting museum about Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel, a politician that fought for country's freedom and united India.

You have to follow a route here. There is a museum on the ground as well as the top. The staff was courteous to let me enter before the stipulated time. Since I was early I was able to visit all sections of this place. Touching of things is prohibited. Facts of the freedom struggle and write-ups and painting of freedom fighters are put up on the ground/underground floor. Repair work was in progress due to the leakage. Sadar Patel's statue is there with a tricolour Indian map in the background. Looks like a palace converted to a museum. It was gifted to Gandhi.

You will be instilled pride in yourself automatically after visiting it though! Such an important part in the city to look for. Don't skip the newly built AV hall.

Really liked all the Gujarati items, roti, Puri, sabhi, sweet 2 types and farsan, papad, chass. Yummy Yummy TummyFul Lunch I had. Loved it.

Sardar smarak is wonderful place to live like sardar patel himself, it covers every aspect of his life, greatly documented and modern technology is also used to show case his life and contribution but the most regretful thing is we were the only people visiting the place on that day. Govt.has not created enough awareness to attract tourist to visit the place. Overall nice experience but need to attract more tourist to explore this place.

It's a very famous museum in the city of Ahmedabad in Shahibuag area. Which organise video shows and many different activities with a view of our history.

The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial further exposes the cunning past of the 'Khan-Nehru-Indira Gandhi-Rajiv Gandhi-Sonia Gandhi-Rahul Gandhi-Robert Vadra dynasty'.

Its a shame that no one visits this memorial. Neither the tourists nor the locals.

Everyone rushes only to the Gandhi Ashram, all thanks to the cunning strategy of 'Khan-Nehru-Indira Gandhi dynasty' which piggy-backed on their adopted surname of 'Gandhi' to mask their pseudo-secular identity and ideology. Even in their promotion and publicity of the name (Mahatma) Gandhi, they only promoted the Khan-Nehru-Indira Gandhi Dynasty. That's why even after 70 years of Independence, even the Italians are ruling and looting the nation in the name of Gandhi. What a master-strategy!

No doubt Mahatma Gandhi was at the helm of India's freedom struggle, but the Khan-Nehru-Indira Gandhi dynasty did tremendous injustice to veterans like Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastriji, and countless other freedom fighters who sacrificed everything of theirs for our independence. And what a Machiavellian scheming it was by the Khan-Nehru-Indira Gandhi dynasty that the memorials of all the great freedom fighters have become homes just for cobwebs.

That's why, when in Ahmedabad, The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial is a very important place to visit. I would say, more important than the Sabarmati Ashram. Because had Sardar Patel been our first prime minister, India would've been the most liveable place on Earth.

So do take a lot of time in hand when you visit this memorial. Carry light snacks and water so that you can sit in its beautiful green lawns and ponder over questions like "What if Sardar Patel would've been our first PM? ". "How did Nehru become the first PM even when Sardar Patel was chosen by the committee? ". "Why you don't know much about Sardar Patel even though he did so much for our freedom? ". "What were Nehru's intentions when he disregarded Sardar Patel's stance on Kashmir". "How could Nehru not listen to even a single decision which was in the interest of India? ".

This National Museum is housed in a historical location in the Shahibaug area of Ahmedabad. This monument earlier known as Moti Shahi Mahal was constructed by Shah Jahan between 1618 and 1622. It was later used as a British cantonment to house the senior officials. After the Indian independence, from 1960 to 1978, this place served as the Raj Bhavan the official residence of the Governor of Gujarat In the year 1978, the building was transformed into a national memorial dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The museum showcases photographs, personal belongings and artifacts related to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and also includes two multimedia halls that through light on various aspects of Sardar’s life and work. The various items displayed in the memorial gives the visitors a nice insight on the invaluable contributions made by Sardar Patel for the Freedom of India and the mammoth task of integration of princely states after Independence.
The museum also offers a beautiful garden, Souvenir shop, parking facilities, neat and clean toilets and a very well managed Food court.
