આ મસ્જિદ સ્થાપક અહમદ શાહ 1 દ્વારા 1414માં બનાવવામાં આવી હતી. તેનો ઉપયોગ શાહી પરિવારની ખાનગી મસ્જિદ તરીકે થતો હોવાનું કહેવાય છે. મધ્ય મિહરાબના ઉપરના ભાગમાં આવેલા શિલાલેખ મુજબ, પાયાની તારીખ 817 શવ્વાલ મહિનાનો 4મો દિવસ હોવાનું જણાય છે, જે 17 ડિસેમ્બર 1414 છે.
મસ્જિદ 700 ચોરસ મીટરના વિસ્તારને આવરી લે છે અને દસ મોટા ગુંબજની બે પંક્તિઓ ધરાવે છે અને તેની આસપાસ ઘણા નાના ગુંબજ છે. મસ્જિદ 152 થાંભલાઓ દ્વારા આધારભૂત છે અને ચાર કમાનવાળા પ્રવેશદ્વાર ધરાવે છે. આઠ છિદ્રિત પથ્થરની બારીઓ અને 25 સુંદર કોતરણીવાળા સ્તંભો છે

As with other properties managed by trusts, this one also needs a facelift. However the beautifully carved pillars and dome can leave you breathless and wanting for more. I wish ASI and Waqf start paying more attention to the stupendous architectural marvels of India
