Shri Hari Temple, better known as Sandipani Ashram of which it's a part, is a landmark place of Porbandar city.
Though it's quite distant from main city, people visit here for the serenity and the quiet, soothing and soulful atmosphere.
Like any Vaishnav temple, 5 status are performed and all rituals are observed. In fact, the ashram has a school to teach Karmakand to the students.
There's a small exhibition also explaining Hindu Dharma philosophy as also an in house publication, books of which are available in Gujarati, Hindi and English languages.

Shree Hari Temple is a very neat and clean temple. When you go there keep in mind the closing timings. There is free food service to visitors during lunch but I think one should contribute whatever one likes in the donation box there. The food is simple and healthy. The lawns are well maintained and worth sitting for some time. One of the security guards is expert in mimicry of birds, animals and humans. People are very nice.

Totally loved it, you can arrange a small picnic easily at this place. Having lots of quality places and scenes to have a look at you won't get bored for sure

The Sri HariMandir, also referred to as the SandipaniVidyaniketan was established in the year 1992 with 85 acres of land. This monument has a length of 105 feet and its entire complex comprises a total of 66 pillars. The deities of this temple are believed to be the incarnation of PujyaBhaishri’s faith. The temple houses deities of Shri Lakshmi Narayan, ShriRadha Krishna, KarunamayiMaa Goddess, ShriJankiVallabh, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesha, and Shri Veda.

As per PujyaBhaishri’s view, the temple was built to provide practical training for executing Hindu rituals to Rishikul students. At present, the temple is one amongst the premier educational institutes providing Vedic Education. The temple was completed in the year 2006 and an event called ‘SandipaniMandirMahotsav’, was conducted to mark the inauguration of Mandir. The temple has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 2000 people; it is used for cultural and spiritual activities.

This campus comprises of Shri Hari Mandir, Sanskrut Pathshala, Gujarati and English medium schools, Chhatralaya for students etc. Shri Hari Mandir is a hybrid structure built with stones and Reinforced Cement Concrete. Inside Shri Hari Mandir there are idols of Shri Narayana (shri hari) and maa Laxmi, Shri Radhe Krishna, Maa Jagdamba and Lord Shiva. It's very nice, clean and peaceful place. To be here is wonderful and soothing experience. One should visit this place at least once.

Awesome experience and one of the best temples of porbandar. Lovely surroundings and a great place to come up with family and friends who wanted to see the God's statue. Evening Vandana and Aarti is awesome. Small water fall is there in the left side of the temple. Two statue one of mahatma Gandhi and sudama ji is there on both sides. Overall a great place to come.
