Whenever I come to Ahmedabad, I definitely go to the temple of Shri Swami Narayan Bhagwan Ji and stay in his Yatri Awas. The facility is very good, you can attend the aarti of the temple in the morning and evening.

Swaminarayan Mandir is another in the list of places of pilgrimage in Gujarat. It is dedicated to Lord Nar Narayan, who is worshipped by the Nar Narayan Dev Gadi section of Swaminarayan sect. It is the first temple of this religious group and therefore, is highly revered.

But apart from the religious significance, the temple is also known for its architectural grandeur. It is built using Burmese teak and painted with bright colours prevalent in Gujarati culture. Much of the designs in the interior as well as exterior, provides you with a glimpse into Gujarati and Rajasthani lifestyle. And the sculpted gateway is a combined result of Gujarati, Marathi, Rajasthani and British styling.

The garbhagriha of the temple has an image of Narayan Dev and an idol of Radhakrishna Dev. Other images there belong to Dharma Dev, Bhakti Mata and Harikrishna.

Next to the temple, there is a haveli, which used to be the residence of the Acharya. Now, it serves as a place of accommodation for the pilgrims and a venue for preaching sessions and various religious ceremonies. The Swaminarayan Mandir is also the place from where the 3-hour Ahmedabad heritage walk begins. Municipal Corporation of Ahmedabad organises it, and you get to visit 20 historical sites of Ahmedabad during this walk.

સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાયના સૌથી મહત્વના અને પૌરાણિક સ્થળ તરીકે રિલિફ રોડ અમદાવાદ ખાતે આવેલું આ મંદિર સુંદર અને વિશાળ જગ્યા છે. અહી મંદિર અને તેની આજુબાજુ ના મકાનોની કલા કારીગીરી જોવા જેવી છે. અમદાવાદ ની હેરિટેજ વોક અહીંયાથી શરૂ થાય છે. અંદર વાહનો માટે વિશાળ પાર્કિંગ આવેલું છે.

One word EXCELLENT. It offers ac room with breakfast, lunch & dinner with only Rs. 500 per person. The food is really delicious. The rooms are really clean. The mandir near is so beautiful.

Very nice place. It's a very old temple in city and situated near railway station. Dharamshala offers rooms and dormitory for stays. Mandir also offers Bhojan every day for devotees.

This Vishranti Bhavan is for religious people specially for Swaminarayan Haribhakto. Food is best in quality and suitable for those who are following Swaminarayan religion. Rooms are clean and in good condition. There are also two dormitory for ladies and gentlemen individual. Rates are affordable.

This place is spotlessly clean! Looks as if they have recently painted or done tiles / flooring etc, but even then keeping it clean is a different thing.
It is in the old city area so it is fairly near to the railway station, but there is nothing much (except the nearest Swaminarayan mandir) in that area to see or do or eat. That said, other city attractions are within 5-10 km and approachable by public transport.

Sorry to say just avoid to stay in this place.as we stayed here in a view to been in a holy place with good peace loving n sewa bhavi people.but very much disappointed with rude n third class behaviour of Mr. Navin on management chair.the boss attitude with visitors sorry beggers who stay here n take Prasad here.by paying 1300 plus gst. Rude boss Mr.navin n team. Rude staff. Rude management.shame on swaminarayan religion that they put this type of person to serve people.pls teach them they are giving service to god and their followers and not they are God.

Very clean place. We had hired two rooms for family to stay for one night. Accomodation is very comfortable with running water n electricity. They have a lift too.

Nice cozy stay. Ambience is good. Temple is just across the road. Currently it is festive season and streets are full of colors. Overall, it is good place.
