Tapi River Front

The Tapi Basin is situated in the northern part of the Deccan Plateau and extends over an area of 65145 sqkm which is nearly 2% of the total geographical area of the country. Nearly 80% of the basin lies in the State of Maharashtra. The basin lies between east longitudes of 720 38’ to 780 17’ and north latitudes of 200 05’ to 220 03. It is bound in the north by the Satpura range in the east by the Mahadeo hills, in the south by the Ajanta range and Satmala hills and in the west by the Arabian Sea. The river is bound on the three sides by the hill ranges. The Tapi River along with its tributaries flows over the plains of Vidharbha, Khandesh and Gujarat and over large areas in the state of Maharashtra and a small area in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

The basin has an elongated shape with a maximum length of 587 km from east to west and the maximum width of 210 km from north to south. Perimeter of the basin is about 1840 km.

It's a good place, but not a proper thing, there is a footpath not in proper condition, and many things which I don't like.

Never say Never, was a note to self when I visited one of my most feared but always top on my wish list places tapi river. I truly believe that for me this is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world and today I am sharing some exciting moments from my trip to tapi river

I don't think this one post is enough to really explain my entire experience but I will try my best to keep it short and as informative as I can.

The Tapi Riverfront is an absolute gem of a destination! This expansive 133-acre public recreation area offers breathtaking scenic views that are simply mesmerizing. Walking along the paved walkways, I couldn't help but admire the beauty of the river and its surroundings. The well-maintained pathways make it a pleasure to explore, and the abundance of greenery adds to the park's serene atmosphere. I highly recommend it to both locals and tourists. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a vibrant cultural experience, this place has it all.

Great Place to come and relax or have a pretty decent walk during Morning/Evening .
As the water in the river was very less, it took away most of the beauty from the spot, but overall its a great place to relax with a late evening walk after a workfull of day.
Tapi is a very famous river in Surat.
This is a good hangout place and a joy to see around during monsoon specifically when you see river flowing full on the banks.

Good place to spending your valuable time with river front views and best place for conversations with your parents or friends etc.

It is a amazing place for each and every one from small child to old age people. It makes me remind of my childhood & old my memories, like daily moring walk, every Sunday evening & much more happiness in my life today remain me.
