Always good to explore a site related to history and ancient era, place standing well but the maintenance cleaning is not good as it should be.

Not so clean looking from outside and couldn't get in as only online booking to be done to get in. There was one guy at the gate who was making entry tickets on Adhoc basis

Well one is amazed at the amount of intricate stone work done at the Step well. Yes this is a well used as water source. But some class. Pretty well preserved though slightly dirty and Water is no longer usable, but never the less a great place to go and relive the magnificant history of Ahmedbabad.

This historical site will amaze you for sure. The no.of storeys underground will tell you about the precision they were having in their architectural monuments.

Simple, less maintened place.

One can see the confluence of Hindu, Jain and Muslim sculpture in the same structure say s pilllar or door or dome; successor has respected the predecessor.

Adalaj Stepwell or Rudabai Stepwell is a stepwell located in the village of Adalaj, close to Ahmedabad city and in Gandhinagar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It was built in 1498 in the memory of Rana Veer Singh, by his wife Queen Rudadevi. It is a fine example of Indian architecture work.
I visited this fill best experience of old structure and things that in old time there are many persons how has its own mind without architect that giving this types of structural design ever built in the future it's amazing.

Cool place (literally cold af).
Its easy to miss as there's a mandir on the entrance but look at the stairwell on its right. You descend into a place with interesting stone architecture. Its all steps steps steps that go down towards the actual well. Couple of places to click pictures. Go in the morning as the place can get quite crowded at noon.
There's a garden surrounding the well to rest. Restroom facilities available although a bit of renovation is ongoing as of 29/12/2018.
There's a sort of porch on top of the whole well through which you can see how deep the well actually is. But be vigilant as there's no railings. One slip and you'll land on the hard stone steps breaking every bone in your body.
Nice place for photography. Stepwell is nothing special.

It is good to visit as one of sight scene.but place is not so clean and no guide service who can tell you about History of this place

Its short drive from Ahmedabad, its good place to visit while visiting to Ahmedabad. The architecture is beautiful, the intricate stone carving is amazing, with lack of maintenance it has taken its abuse and nature has slowly wearing out the sharpness.

Wish more work was done to preserve, and have guide support to inform visitors as well as create jobs for local youth.

There is not much around, one need to plan the day well.

The stepwell is beautiful with intricate details. I gave 4 stars and took away one because there was nobody to explain the history and architecture of that place.

A well with beautifully designed walls and pillars near a temple. Gives the feeling of a palace steps rather than a step well. A good place to look and enjoy. When I visited the place was heavily crowded, but still worth the visit. Would be more enjoyable if visited during lesser cloud.

Very Nice place to visit if you are near to Ahemdabad. It has one garden nearby it. It closes at 6 PM generally so, you should visit it before that time. It's heritage place. Search it's history first and visit it, you will enjoy it.

An architectural beauty with magnificently carved pillars and steps. The deep well is covered. Be careful if you are peeping from the top to the steps. Beautiful garden with lots of tourists around. Would prefer Dada Harir Vaav within the Ahmedabad city which is more secluded.

Good place for 1st time visit at this place. Easily 2 to 3 hrs can be spent to this place. Down stares, well can be seen. It is a historical place. One can get snacks to this area.
One time visit is entertaining.

It's a national monument but not declared heritage. One of the places like this exist. Only thing it's not properly managed. Very easy to reach, architecture delight. Must see. Situated in the heart of town.

A miniature replica of the Well at Rani Ki Vav. Badly maintained and flocked by local visitors unconcerned with the archaeological importance of the site and just busy clicking selfies and throwing waste materials in the well and it's periphery. The Archaeological Deptt and the State Government should wake up and maintain the cleanliness of the place and preserve it from becoming an open air dustbin

Maintenance is necessary to keep the stepwell in shape. Also some personnel, for onspot security and to avoid misbehaviour.

Decent place to spend some time friends or family. Nothing as such of a historical beauty but should be visited if you are in that area. Has some important historical importance.

This step well is a good to chillax place. It's really few degrees cooler inside. We visited this place at around 11am it was very hot outside but really felt good once we got in. It was nice and cool. It's a great structure has beautiful carvings that can fetch you some great clicks. It was a little crowded if not much. This place also has a small cute temple which is very peaceful, whose interior design gave me a feeling of sheesh or manek mahal of Udaipur palaces. Do read the history of this place before visiting for an added effect of excitement. Go for it if you are looking for a touristy place good enough to relax. I will visit again if I get a chance to.

Neat place to visit on way to Akshardham. Gives you glimps of how thoughtful our ancestors were regarding water conservation.

Good place but very crowded on holidays. You won't get any good look in so much rush. Better to visit Harir Vav (also a stepwell) which is equally beautiful and is comparatively less crowded.
