I was a student myself, and trust me kids act so immature and uncultured and some teachers were so rude and assertive, it influences some children and badly impacts others. Like you are making your future generation go back in evolution. I remember I was in 3rd grade and I had a fight with a boy and my class teacher instead of scolding or explaining straight up told that I'm going to the principal it was the first time I heard of the upper section principal and as a child I was scared as HELL. Started crying and apologising and even bent on my knees and pleaded with folded hands in front of the whole class, felt very ashamed and embarrassed but still the teacher was like cement, which I later realised most of the teachers are like that it was just an example, like you even dont have pity on an 8 year old. Had such incidents allot. And I have seen students spoil because the majority of the students are spoilt bullying each other, fighting and using bad words, some higher grade boys and girls like literally dating each other, teachers don't even bother to look after it. And don't even ask about the staff. Is this what you call school? Have a lot of bad memories connected. Thanks Udgam School. Nothing to say more.

I don't know about the school but recently I went to their carnival and the experience was like. I mean they are charging 200rs for entry only and inside they were asking to buy tickets for atleast 500rs, is it a fair deal? Means if my child wants to take only 1 or 2 rides i.e. Of 100rs the how worth it is?

I was an alumnus of Udgam School. Left school in 2021. In my schooling years quality of teaching was very good. But nowadays I can feel the quality of the teaching is degraded especially in 9-10 th std. Teachers are not friendly to solve student’s queries. Apart from that school management is awesome. Cleanliness is superb. I have not seen this much in any other schools. The school is also very parent-friendly. That all matters to be a no1. School.

This is not for common man & middle class people, fees are too much high.corporate culture nothing else.

Today's time only udgam name is enough for children, though bit overrated but good quality of staff and teacher, overall management is also good.

I have been an Alumni of this school. Took admission from the beginning ie Junior kg till 12th science in 2007.
I must say those days were quite memorable and whenever I remember being in Udgam, I feel extremely nostalgic about the times in this school.
Apart from having a personal attachment, if I would review Udgam being an outsider and looking back at all my experiences, I would say my experience was kind of mixed (both good and bad)
The Good: Teaching in general and regularity of classes and exams. Cleanliness was another pro. Most of the teachers I remember were very much kind hearted and intelligent. I would always remember Radhika Iyer madam to be the most humble amongst all teachers and very much down to earth.

The Bad: During my times, there was hardly any attention towards Physical Education and different games. I myself never got the chance to get exposed to various PE activities as there were hardly any. Secondly certain teachers I remember very well (in fact I would never forget) were the worst of all. There was always a sense of fear amongst students while approaching to those teachers or principal of that particular section which I personally feel is very wrong. Teachers should always be extremely friendly, always available, humble and down to earth so that students can always approach them whenever they want to. Those bitter experiences left quite a big mark on my childhood as I grew up. Lastly the bitter truth is that this school has been since the beginning preferred children from rich families (mostly) or upper middle class (small chunk) since my times also. They might not accept it but it is true.

One of the top school of Ahmedabad. Quality of school infrastructure and education both are very good. There is lot of traffic and chaos during the school closings time for obvious reasons. However, security staff is trying their best to control the traffic in front of the main gate. It is recommended to park your car at some distance away from the school if you are visiting during the closing hours. They operate in two shifts morning and evening.

Im a student and udgam and i just thought of giving an rating. I think udgam is a great school it has counselling and even extra classes for students who cant write well and etc. Its a great school overall but there are some problems which i want the school to change. 1) we have to take heavy bags everyday which can harm our shoulders. The school has made shelves to keep the books but they tell you to not keep them and take them home for studying. I get it but i think at least they should let you keep some notebooks or textbooks. 2) Some teachers: some teachers actually are so rude half of the time and if a higher rank teacher walks in (like a supervisor) then they start acting nice. I actually have a story where my friend actually had to get surgery in a month and she has to go by the elevator of the school and she even has permission to go in the elevator. She took the elevator and I was waiting for her by the elevator and after she came we got food but after she had to go upstairs again by the elevator there was a security guard standing and a p.e teacher (?) and basically she was gonna go in but the teacher stops her and tells her thats she not allowed to go in even though we had never met this teacher and she did not know us as well. She did not even know that she had permission by the teachers. My friend tells her that she has a surgery in a month and cant climb the stairs or it pains her legs for a long time. The teacher keeps saying “no” even i tried to defend my friend saying she cant climb the stairs and still she says no and tells me “who am I and why am I defending my FRIEND” and holding her chai just goes into the elevator and goes away. Then when she tries to wait there the guard says no and says she is not allowed as it is lunch time and she can use it later. She gets mad (ofcourse anyone would be) and climbs the stairs. Luckily her legs just hurt for a short period of time but still the teacher had no right of telling someone no to go in the elevator while two people told her that she had to use it. Anyways I just wanna ssy I hope you fire these kind of teachers as they do the opposite of they say and keep no respect for students sometimes.

"All that glitters is not gold "can perfectly be said for this school. Once fee is deposited.they don't care about you. They r responsible for not providing transportation for three months.still they denied to refund the fee when we cancel the admission of my daughter.only young girls are sitting in front who always talk in lawyer language.there should be strict action against such school.

Good place for government copitative exam this place is so silence and best atmosphere and good communication for school staff.

School system is v good. Teachers also work hard for students online education as well offline. They put good efforts. So kids perform well. Thank u.

They are failed in providing proper transportation to children. After one month they have not started transportation of kids. And not given date also. Mismanagement out of limit.

It was an amazing year.hats off to all the teachers for their extra effort in this year which had a continuous transition online and offline. Thank you to all the teachers for their excellent teaching and support.

It was great effort of all respected teachers and principal ma’am. Really very much appreciable.all informations were given timely. So that students and parents got time to do the activities. And last but not least, all students did a wonderful job by themselves specially I can say, my son Sneh did all the tasks like network issues, work sheets prints timely submission and sooo many other difficulties solved by himself through out those 2 years. He learnt a lot other than acedemics. He enjoyed a lot online classes also. I really thank ful to teachers of extra activities like yoga, music. All were so entertaining. I also enjoyed yoga sometime. Really wonderful experience of 2 years. Management had done great efforts for all- students, teachers and of course for parents. I thank all. Udgam is the other name of trust. In pandemic situation udgam management manage all activities and studies very well. Salute to whole team.

Considering past 2 yrs of the pandemic I think the #1 priority for all of us as parents was mental well being of our child. And along with parents the school had a major role to play in helping students to navigate through these difficult times.
I m glad to share that seeing our child and his classmates sail through past 2 years without impacting their mental well being was only possible because of Udgam school management, teachers and staff as they left no stone unturned in going that extra mile to ensure mental and physical well being of the students.

Udgam School is a co-educational English Medium School that follows the CBSE syllabus. Good and professional teaching faculties in here. Well maintained neat and clean environment. Students and teachers are well Disciplined. Udgam School for Children is one of the oldest and renowned schools in Ahmedabad.

At time of interview teacher dont ask about study related question. They ask which gadget do you use, what's your father do, mother do etc etc. And mainly they are more concerned about whether the child lives in a bungalow or an apartment. Because when they come to know that if child lives in a bungalow then they suddenly says come for the admission and give 5 lakh donation. That's why I canceled my child's admission.

Staying in Sabarmati and plan to take admission in this primary school for my 4 years kid. I heard that udgam is not granting the admission of students who live far (~8km).

Updated question after udgam's reply:
Will admission transfer directly from Satellite School to Thaltej Branch for Grade 1? Or we will have to re-apply for admission?

The school is ok not good or best as if you late fourth times in a whole year even you are late for 30 seconds they will kick out you for a day and there is no sports or p.e period for 11 and 12 standard which is against the rule of CBSE

Very irresponsible school in terms of granting admsn to students. I once called this school for some admsn related process nd dey said that if your child is able to manage the cutoff set by us for 11th ull get admsn.
Soon after the 10th results were announced we completed the admsn procedure, we had a f2f talk wid d principal and were asked to come and pay the fees the next day. The bery mext day wen we went to pay the fees, they clearly declined that u cant get admsn sayin d seats r full inspite us seeing that they r giving admsn to ppl who were coming after us.

This experinece of mine wid d school, its principal and d management is 1 of the worst ones. The same thing do hpnd wid my friend also.

Good English medium school in this area. The teaching sysrem is also nice. The staff and the teachers here are good and expert in the subjects the have been assigned. The environment is good but now due to the metro work the traffic rush in peak hours is horrible, it should be taken care by the administration.

School is a Place where everybody starts their learning steps in their childhood, in terms of commitments, discipline, faith, social responsibility, and all other things. BUT AT UDGHAM SCHOOL (PLAYGROUP). All staff including Frontend staff, top management are not concerned about the basic development of childhood. FROND END STAFF IS VERY VERY RUDE, DONT BOTHER TO RESOLVE AND GUIDE YOUR PROBLEMS. Any if you complaint to top management in writtern via mail, they will not respond and even not taken care of your basic concerns.they are very fast for sending Fee collection notices and schedules But Zero for reverting Your mail and resolving Your child issues in school campus.always and always says that please send email and never respond or revert your email.
