I recently visited Vijay Vilas Palace, and it was a remarkable experience from start to finish. The walkway from the parking area to the palace was a picturesque delight, adorned with lush greenery, and we even had the pleasure of spotting a majestic peacock. The palace itself is a stunning testament to architectural grandeur, meticulously preserved and filled with history. It's no surprise that this place is famous for Bollywood movie shooting, and we even witnessed pre-wedding photoshoots happening, attesting to its timeless charm. The architecture is nothing short of a work of art, exuding an old-world charm that's truly captivating.
Vijay Vilas Palace is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates beauty, history, and culture.

This place is just mind blowing. The chilled air is just the thing to catch you without letting go. The views are wonderful.

Superb.have to visit during monsoon.one of the best well maintained palace. Still in starting path concrete work needed.

Once you reach the top of the villa, you will be able to see the real beauty of bhuj. The inside is quite pretty as well, garden looks beautiful as well and the tiger they have mummified. Wow! Absolutely amazing, but it is quite sad to know it was hunted down by humans to feel their hunter needs.

Ok place to visit in mandvi but good preserve place.neat and clean.good for photo graphy.but entry fees is quite high than property.overall once you can go if you are come here for Kutch Rann utsav.

Amazing interiors.awesome architecture. However, it has blackened due to climate effects probably.there is still a lot of scope to make it a marvel of mandvi.

Maintanence of this Palace could have been done in much better way.
Even after getting continued income by visitor entry charges, this place seems to me neglected.

What a place that is! Very Wonderful and Grand, I really appreciate the grandeur of that palace, Palace is not so much Big but it's grandeur of this palace is really awesome and History of this palace is wonderful.

Nice place for tourist and you can see old luxury furniture and you can go to terrace and enjoy beautiful scenes. As they are taking entry fee, but it is worth.

Visited with Family during the 2021 Diwali vacation. Enjoyed the beauty & history of the palace. What's actually worth is watching the view of the beach/sea from the top of the palace.

A beautiful place, the scenary is beautiful, I recommend visiting in early morning hours. If you want to shoot charge is 5000 for 1 hour, visiting tickets are 50 rupees for one person.

Vijaya Vilas Palace has its own private beach which offers air-conditioned tented accommodation. The royal family of Kutch State now reside permanently in the palace, who earlier used it only as a summer resort. It was after the 2001 Gujarat earthquake in which one of the wings of their other palace at Bhuj - the Ranjit Vilas - was heavily damaged, they moved into Vijaya Vilas Palace. The Palace also houses a museum.

Scenes from the Bollywood blockbusters Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Lagaan,  Commando as well as a number of Gujarati films, were shot in the palace.

The mixture and mingling of architect and style of different regions of India, as such, can be distinctly seen in design & architect of the Vijaya Vilas Palace. The campus also houses a Chhatri of Vijayaraji, who died in 1948, to whom this palace was very dear.

A historical place of king પ્રાગમલજી જાડેજા summer palace where king his spouses lived. Very much beutiful but need to keep cleen.

It is open from 8am to 6 pm.so best time to visit is near about 10 am so you can roam this palace
It's nice palace some might love it.

This place is old palace. But tickets rate is high @70 and also parking charges is @20. Overall all average places. Things to watch in the palace are sitting rooms only. Not shown bedroom and kitchen. You can't timepaas here because visitors timing is limited by authorities. There are no attraction which we feel that our "paisa wasool". I think avoid to visit this place. This place is very small place against crowd come. There are no other attraction at palace. There are no gardens for visitors. There are no sitting facilities for visitors for take some rest. Childs and young people bored here I think so. Overall not good place for visit.

Such a lovely property with the least possible maintainance and staff of unnecessary high attitude! Smelly public toilets, dirty palace walls were the most dissappointing. The only good thing was the Palace itself and the nature around. A good place to do photography if you don't mind the dirtiness of toilets and walls.

લાલ રેતાળ પથ્થરોથી બનેલો આ મહેલ એક મુખ્ય ગુંબજ ધરાવે છે, તેની ચોતરફ બંગાળી ગુંબજો, ખૂણામાં મિનારા અને રંગીન કાચની બારીઓ છે. છત પરના ઝરુખામાંથી આસપાસનો વિસ્તાર દ્રશ્યમાન થાય છે અને રાજાની સમાધિ પણ દેખાય છે. મહેલનો મધ્યખંડ અદ્‌ભુત છે. મહેલની રંગબેરંગી બારીઓ, દરબાજાઓ અને પ્રવેશદ્વારની રચના પણ અદ્‌ભુત છે. દરિયા કિનારાને કારણે અહીં હંમેશા હવા ઉજાસ રહે છે. હિન્દીના ચલચિત્રના શુટિંગ માટે આ એક પસંદગીનું સ્થળ છે. Calling this a palace is a joke It's a small vacation home, you can spend max two hours.

Entry is 50/- per person which is cool. But if you are going via auto fix the sams auto for return.

विजय विलास पैलेस में राजस्थानी और बंगाली वास्तुशैली में निर्माणित गुम्बज बने हुवे है। विजय विलास पैलेस की दीवारों पर आकर्षित विजय महाराजाओ के शासनकाल में बने चित्र मौजूद है इसके साथ महाराजाओकी शिकार की गई ट्रॉफिया भी सजाई गई है।

इस महल का निर्माण ई. स 1920 में करवाना प्रारंभ किया गया था जो करीबन 9 सालो के बाद इस महल का निर्माण कार्य पूर्ण यानि 1929 में पूर्ण हुवा था।

विजय विलास पैलेस का निर्माण की बनावट में लाल बलुआ पत्थर से करवाया गया था। यह विजय विलास पैलेस में कई तरह की वास्तुकला का निर्माण किया हुवा दिखाई देता है।

विजय विलास पैलेस में मुख्य रूप में ओरछा और दतिया के महलो की तरह यह महल की वास्तुकला दिखाई देता है।

Nice Palace, unlikely few things to see. You only like the first and second floor where too much wind and you can see greenery everywhere.

It's amazing palace but owner should allow visitors to see Mojority portion of the Palace currently they only allow to view ground floor, terrace and garden.

I have visited Vijay Vilas palace of Mandvi in 2019. Best view from inside. Overall best experience.

An homely palace built in sprawling 850 acres land around this miniature palace.
Plan visit on weekdays to have a closer and uninterrupted view of its excellant built.
Just superb for photos.
The visit to first floor gives you an true experience of Hawa Mahal design.
Entry fees starts with 20 per vehicle.
Thereafter 50 per person.
Extra for mobile and video shoots.
Garden is also too good.
A time well spent.

The place is located in the rural part of Mandvi city. The parking, ticket and camera price is nominal. The entire area of the palace is huge, however the internal area of Palace to which visitors are allowed is minimal. Even though the view from the top is worth a visit.

Vijay Vilas Palace, it is a really beautiful palace. The top of the palace was used for many songs making for movies such as Hum dil de chuke sanam, Cammando 2. Shoes is not allowed in the palace. Need to pay fees for use of camera.

Small but beautiful place of Royal Jadeja family. Ticket & mobile camera ticket is required for entry. Not many things on display buy architecture is superb. Enjoy the palace from that point of view.photography lovers will love to capture as many frames possible. Ample parking.

It's a neatly maintained palace, but we could not see its kitchens. Some of Lagaan's shooting was done here

Vijay villas palace is the one of the historical palace in kachchh. Architectural view is speechless. I loved.

A brilliant example of Rajput architecture,  Vijay Vilas Palace in Mandvi was built in 1929 by Maharao Shri Khengarji III. Located on the banks of the Rukmavati River, Mandvi was once a fortified town and the principal port of Kutch. Mandvi's famous tourist spots apart from Vijay Vilas Palace include shipbuilding yards along the Rukmavati River where wooden ships are still built by hand. Walk around the ground floor and one gets to appreciate intricate work on the main central dome, Bengal domes at the sides and bastions (a projecting part of a fortification built at an angle to the line of a wall, so as to allow defensive fire in several directions) at the corner. Hunting trophies and royal paintings adorn the walls along with pictures of many dignitaries and one gets to see royal furniture placed in the main hall. Though not directly accessible, the royal furniture helps one get an idea of the lifestyle enjoyed by the royals:) very close to a calm and serene beach

Good as historical place, but it should be taken care and maintained. I heard royal family still visits here, then I was expecting proper maintenance.

It is just a palace like others, nothing special I found about it.

If you are running out of time while visiting whole kutchh, I would suggest, you can skip this visit.

Don't waste your time to visit this palace where "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" shot. Waste of time I must say.
If you've love affair with archaeology then and only then you should visit this.

Mind-blowing location Nr. Mandvi. Good place to visit with family. Very nice haritage place. Best location for one day picnic. This place located Nr. Sea Beach. Overall very nice experience here.

Palace area must be maintain, interior maintenance is poor, cleaning is good. People have to show respect and maintain decepline in palace area.
