White Desert Of Kutch

As per my opinion it's a nice place if it's less crowded nearby areas have been made too dirty because of human intervention. Over all it's a good initiative by the government to earn from a desert.
Toilet is available at the point where u park your vehicle. To come to this point u have to use animals ride.

Wonderful place to visit.
Two routes: Bhuj highway (no lights on highway which can lead to accidents)
From Lakhpat (jungle route)

It was mesmerizing to witness orange hue taking over the sky as the sun slowly disappears below the horizon. What hypnotic sight!

Visited in Jan and it's one of the best times to visit.
White desert was a different kinda experience.
It didn't really seem like sand but more like vast expanse of salt.

It also called White sand dessert. Pleasant place. In November here you can celebrate the Rann Utsav.

Camera & good camera phone is highly recommended! & money ofcourse. A1 place. Only if you have group of friends.

Its a great place from where you can stand with around 25 to 30 people to get selfie or photo session. From here you easily get the fine view of white desert even you can enjoy camal cart too there to enjoy the beauty of nature. Generally we cant seen white desert in the summer season.

It is about 80 km away from Bhuj.
The white salt is very eye-catching and crystal clear.
They also allow to take your vehicle inside on the salt.
The tent city which is built specifically for the tourists is very huge and has a lot of tents and also offers various packages.
Various shows and programmes also take place at night.

Visit at time of purnima and see the miracle of white desert and enjoy the sparkling rays of moon on the surface.

Take you family here right now if you are thinking yo go there in your mind. Its a very beautiful place and experience, there is Camel cart and Camel riding, your kids and wife will enjoy. Its will cost you 300 for a camel ride, also they have culture clothes like pagri, ghagra etc. (Note: Bargain Hard), you need to have your own vehicle to visit, you can also hire a four wheeler from Bhuj station.

White desert is 90 kilometers from bhuj city. It is one of the top tourist attractions in bhuj. Winter is the perfect time to visit white desert from Nov to Feb. Rann of kutchh means white desert festival happens in winter for 3 months. You can have camel safari and horse riding

In kachh it is one of the important place to visit. You can spend the great time over there. The best time is when u see the sunset and sunrise over there.you will enjoy a lot.

Hasn't rained in 2018 so most of the white dessert is covered with a thin layer of brown dust so not as white as it normally is but still worth visiting.

It’s salt marshland, hard rock salt. You can’t even sit here, it’s too sticky. Also the people around are way too loud, if you visit this place on a busy day. Prefer taking a personal horse or camel ride.

White desert is awesome.but no transportation and no any texy service is avalable. Govt transport is also not avlable.

Must visit place, u ll get to see the most beautiful sunset. You can stay either in tent city or dholavira.

This place is one of kind, this place is covered by water for almost 6 months and post that dry hence water is gone and Salt remains due to which it is white. For miles you can only see nothing but White plains. Remember there are no food or water stalls so carry along if you plan to spend lot of time here (which I think you should) November to February is ideal time to visit this place. Post 5/6pm cold starts setting in so carry along sweater/jacket. There is a viewing tower which is far off from main entrance, which you can either walk or take camel/horse cart or car taxi. From viewing tower you can further walk down inside the white desert as much as you can. Remember depending on time plain might be dry & solid or bit wet. If it's bit wet you want be very careful while walking on plains one wrong step and your footwear will get destroyed because of excess salt. Visit around 4-5pm so you can see sunset also which is superb.

Few pointers for clarifications regarding the entry for White Rann
1. You have to pass through BSF Post which is inside the Rann Utsav area
2. You are allowed to go in for free if you are a student
3. Pre registrations should be done on web if you want to take your car inside
4. White Rann is almost 3-4 km from the post
5. If you don't have a car, Camel rides are available during the Day time till evening.

The white Desert is beautiful and looks even better during the night time! One should visit it during the Rann utsav!

Make sure you carry warm clothes as the temperature falls to around 15 °C.
There's as such nothing to do at White Rann but the beauty is worth it!

A must visit place. Atleast once in a lifetime that to on a full moon day. I bet you'll admire the different side of mother Nature. The Gujarat govt facilities are icing on cake.

This place is wonderful and specially in full moon time. The entry is allowed on a pass which can be obtained either online or directly on the way to white dessert. Best time to visit in winter season, at that time there is also Rann Utsav.

Best experience of my life in here at kachchh.
U can go here by train or by bus car and etc public transport is also available from bhuj.

U get parking here at outside of the white desert.

First u reach there u want to take 100 rupees per person ticket here.

Then the rides available here upto spot where u want to go
Camel cart, camel ride, horse ride, mule are available too there.they charge u around 50 rupees per person.

Sunset is a beautiful here so plzz must go before sunset.

No wonder this place looks like something out of this world. With endless view of salty plain and cool breeze.no wonder it's one of the best tourist spot yet to be explored by many.

Place made only of salt.tourist are better guided here. Better avoid flipflops to avoid stinging salt contamination in our leg.
Security check will be there before the entry as it is indo-pak border.
There is a guy (I added the photo) who performs traditional music song in that place if we pay him some amount. I gave him 100 for 15 minutes performance. (well worth it)

Very nice view of white rann. It was amazing heart of kutch.i will recommend to all one time visit explore kutch.

The place is beautiful specially at the time of sunset and sunrise. Try to go there when your travel agent allow as much much time as you need as some travel agents hurry all the time. It's a mesmerising place.

Must visit place, it's a total salt Desert this leads to it's white colour.best time to visit during November to January. It's amazing during fool Mon night.

Ran Utsav at Kachchh-White Rana is famous festival started from October to February of every year. Excellent weather.tent ️ type accommodation. Ahmedabad to Kachchh distance is 250 km on road. Rajkot to Raan by road distance is 230 km

Absolute wonder of nature!
It's a huge expanse of desert covered with salt deposits. Would highly recommend to go far enough away from the paan picks and litters (sadly, there are tourists still not inspired by 'swachh bharat') near the parking. Also away from the crowd, you can enjoy the complete silence, something you hardly afford these days.
State Govt has done a good job building the viewing tower inspired by salt crystal structure. The tower also acts as 'lighthouse' if you are deep inside the 'white sea'.

The Great Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh located in the Thar Desert in the Kutch District of Gujarat,  India. It is about 7500 sq km (2900 sq miles) in area and is reputed to be one of the largest salt deserts in the world.  This area has been inhabited by the Kutchi people.

No facilities. We had to line up to get the entry permits for more than an hour. No good toilets and at the viewing point no toilet facilities at all.
