Such a wholesome experience. It's away from the main chaos. Located with a beautiful sunset view. Food was wholesome. The Chef, owner and other staff ensure you get the best experience. Must visit if in Bir
The location of the cafe is amazing with clear views of the valley and the mountains. The service by Vikas is very homely and the food by chef Manu is amazing!
Must visit cafe in Bir when you search for authentic Himalayan traditional food. Himachali thali is best here. Food was delicious. Vikas explained us the tradition behind the thali. Mannu bhai is superb cook and singer as well. Overall very good experience
This is an amazing experience. Was a journey. Vikas guided us through the history of Himachali cuisine. The food was top notch and it was a memorable experience for us. To top it off Mannu Bhai’s beautiful voice in the background. 10/10.
I came here after wanting to try the Himachali thali aka Dham for so long. Saw a good rating of this restaurant and hence decided to give this a try. The thali that came in had a kadhi, matar paneer sort of curry (which was much more sour than the kadhi), one fried lentils item, one sour pumpkin curry, two cheela made of wheat flour, one bowl of rice, 2 sweet dishes one looked like a thekua (bihari item) and the other one was ghee cooked rice with dry fruits in it. This was a limited thali and charged 499 for the same which is exceptionally high since it doesn't have unlimited options in the items served. I wouldn't recommend it so much jst because of how expensive it is. But the restaurant is very much insta worthy and they have maintained it really well.
Do not miss Kangra dham. We stayed there for 4 days and had all our breakfasts and dinners at this cafe. Every dish was beyond expectations but a special mention to the trout fish and Kangra dham.
On our trip to Bihr Billing, we wanted to try local food and this cafe was among the recommended places so we went to try it out.
We were floored by the Himachali Thali and Siddu (we had chicken). The portion size is very generous, can easily share one thali while trying another dish from the menu. The taste is so local in terms of flavours and ingredients, it's a must visit if you're around and want to explore options other than Pizzas, Pan Cakes et al. Special mention is the sharbat they make using the local flower (can't remember the name) but you'll be able to spot it on their menu.
Would suggest going for lunch (after a light breakfast) as they close early for outside guests in the evening.
Had Siddu and Himachali thali, it was mouth watering and very delicious. Was in conversation with Mannu, such a lovely fellow and told us great stories about food as well
One of the best cafes to experience not just great food but an amazing ambience and a good chat with the father son duo who are running this place. The hospitality extended by uncle Mr. Dewan is beyond any benchmark that one may have. Do not miss the authentic Himachal Thali and uncle’s story behind the tradition of Dhaam in Himachal. Must must must place to visit when you’re in Bir
Ara cafe is a must visit on your next trip to Bir - it is located at a beautiful spot, the service is very good with friendly staff, and the thaali portion size is generous. Each curry had its distinct flavour and texture, and the locally procured ingredients rendered a homely touch to the dishes. Highly recommend this place:)
The place has amazing options in vegetarian food and cozy seating. Sidhu is a must try. Much better than any other higher rated cafe in Bir. The hospitality is vey welcoming. Also have stay options.
Love the food, ambience and hospitality. Would definately recommend to try mangofee pie jar during the mango season. The vegetables and fruit used were very fresh
The cafe has a great location, surrounded by loads of beautiful plants. The view is really nice and it is located away from the busy colony hustle. The local kangri thali and grilled fish are very nice to have and the hosts are a darling. Lovely to talk and warm to look at their smiles:)
The food was delicious, even the south Indian dishes which we wanted to eat, were authentic. Food was yum. Manu (The head Chef) is really good. And yes, we really loved the Desserts.
Very beautiful place. Very serene. Pet friendly. The food was really tasty. We ordered Chicken Stroganoff, Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce and hot chocolate. Manu ji and Pritam ji took very good care of us, very homely and hospitable.
Ara Cafe was a delightful experience. The ambience is very soothing, and the food equally delectable. It's slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main market area, so it's perfect for a chill evening, with authentic Himachali food, and hot chocolate which warms your soul. The owner and the chef are very nice people, and explained the rich history behind each dish of the Himachali Thali (or dham, as it's called). One of the must visit places when you're in Bir!
The kind of cafe a trip to Bir is incomplete without visiting! Highly recommend the place due to quality of the food, hospitality and ambience
I loved the non veg Himachali thali made beautifully by chef Mannu and served with a lot of care by Pritamji - icing on the cake is the history of the thali and story of the different components of the thali recounted by Diwan uncle or the chef. Only downside is that you have to call up in advance so that they can prepare accordingly but that’s hardly an issue given what you will finally get!
The place, the vibe, the hosts everything is top notch. They sure took their sweet time to prepare the meal, but it was worth the wait. And the khatta chicken, definitely amongst top five i have tasted yet in India. One thing that I saw was rude behaviour of some customers on the order being late or chapatis being less compared to thali, so if you are one such customer then try to understand their process and don't get so impatient. You can get everything extra when asked so better ask politely. Please go, relax, wait and savour the food.
Went to the restaurant at Parvatah and ordered the Himachali Thali/Dham. Every item was delicious and service was helpful. The ambiance and view from the restaurant were great too. We did wait a while for our food, but it was worth it!
Excellent food and very warm vibes. The chef is par excellence: Manu: and he sings excellently as well. It was wonderful indeed. Thank you. Fully recommend this.
Wonderful food, wonderful services and the views and vibes were amazing, best food in Bir. Don’t miss the Himachali thali, that’s fantastic experience.
Ara in the Himachali local language is DOST ️ YARA hence Ara? The most beautiful place where you get the most mesmerising view of the valley. You can star gaze at night at this roof top cafe which is so tastefully curated.
There is a warm and cozy corner with low seating and looks so beautiful that you would not miss to take a pic there.
The chefs Manu & Sunny makes the most scrumptious food. You name any cuisine and that dish is heavenly when you taste.t
Other staff members are so courteous and friendly too. Pritam ji is always up to lend a help.
The head Chef Manu is an amazing singer too. We had an opportunity to hear him during our stay and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The place, the food, the Music is just Unmatched.
We all know if the food is made with love you will feel it in the taste. A MUST MUST MUST Visit if you are in Bir.
Beautiful cafe, great view from the cafe. Better to visit in the evening. They offer Himalayan thali if you wana try. Taste wise decent but too expensive. I personally didn't feel it's worth the price they charged for the Himalayan thali.
The hosts are very welcoming and warm. The cafe is situated in a scenic location. Must visit when you come to Bir. The pancakes and siddu are worth trying.
We are so fortunate to visit this place, it was worth visiting there. Food was stunning. The ambiance was very welcoming and charming. The staff is very polite and friendly. I strongly recommend everyone to visit this place if you visited bir. I would like to come back here again and again.
Amazing location with a beautiful valley view from the rooftop cafe. The space is maintained so well, with good quality and delicious food. The Himachali Thali is so good with authentic flavours and taste. Absolutely loved it!
Ara cafe is an amazing hangout spot if you are in Bir. The ambience, food, hospitality, staff, everything is outstanding. We tried Himachali thali and it was super delicious, definitely a must try.
The location is wonderful.staff is so polite and hospitality is amazing.food is above the expectations.so delicious chef is great @ Chef Manu.i recommend everybody must visit this cafe 100/100.
You should try this place for their Himachali Dham by chef Mannu it is so delicious that can't be explained. It's a beautiful cafe with terrace sitting and gives you a 360° view.
This cozy place has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, amazing staff, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, undoubtedly the best himachali dham! Highly recommend; I'd like to visit again:)
Oh.how I loved this experience. The vibes are just so so beautiful, the wooden cabin on the rooftop has the right blend of rusticness of old himachali world perfectly fusioned with the vibrant boho interiors. You get one of the best views of the folded mountains on one side and billing mountain on the other. Similarly, they have a nice food menu ranging from traditional himachali thali and siddu to the modern continental dishes. My recommendations would be - Himachali Thali, Siddu, Devil momos, Mousakka & Tingmo bread with Shapta. Overall 5 out of 5 for the food, vibes, hospitality and services.
Beautiful location with a beautiful view of the sunset. The chef is an amazing person. He spend time with us explaining the local food and how it is made. Delicious. Definitely go try the Himachal Thali.
If one wants to experience an authentic Himachali thali in bir then congratulations your search for that ends here, this is The place for it, scrumptious to the tee and to cap it all, the vibes that this place has it’s just too cozy that u would want to spend your whole day there
The ambience is nice but wish food was better. We tried Bombay sandwich which was okay and momos were undercooked. Too expensive for value. Overall meh experience.
Beautiful ambience. The hospitality provided by the staff was extremely warm. We had ordered the Himachali Thali and the food was delicious to the last crumb. We didn’t stay over however the rooms were so tastefully decorated. Must try.
Very tasty food, I'd say one of the best among the cafes in Bir. 'Rhododendron sharbat', you must try this local himachali beverage. The 3 layered sandwich is just grilled to perfection.
Were served burnt garlic breads with overdosed oregano in pasta and absolutely tasteless extremely spicy Thai curry. Very limited menu, so we ordered items which were listed as days highlight. Was extremely disappointed by the quality of food. This is the only bad experience in Bir so far. Place claims to be boutique home/hotel. But extremely cold place with no vibes with no hospitality.
Must try cafe at Bir! Really liked the food and the warm n informative welcome by the Nitesh (owner). It is slightly away from Bir colony but one should visit this cafe specially during sunset time as you can have the luxury of having a delicious dish while experiencing a striking sunset.
Such a good vibe. Delicious food. Courteous staff. If you are staying in Tibetan colony and make the trek to Bit. This is a just stop to take in the sunset.
Awesome vibes at ara cafe with great food and beautiful sunset view.make sure you here with time in hand as they make everything fresh to order and takes about 30-40 mins for food.drinks arrive quickly so that is good.if you are in a hurry like us then go for pizza sandwich and veg roll as it took just 15 mins and food was there on the table.what i really loved was the service part as the owners give special attention to each guest and welcome you with warmth.must try place in bir.
That's one of the dopest place i have ever seen. I really enjoyed the view from the Terrence as you can see gliding parachutes coming from the billing mountain and also the rest of the valley. Located at the centre of bir.they have some awesome rooms to stay which starts from 5k i guess.the host is very welcoming he will guide you with all the activities offered nearby.one last thing i saw too many prayer flags there om ma ni padme hum and cafe menu was veg, saw grills there hope that was not for tadoori paneer or chaap.overall 4 out of 5!
Amazing hospitality and property, highly recommended for couples. Located 1-2 km away from the commercialized market area but NOT at all remote. One of the best in Bir.
One of the most amazing home stays i have visited.food here is amazing specially there Bombay Veg sandwich.rest Ara cafe has everything that anyone wants on there menu. It is worth every penny you spent. Highly recommended to visit Ara Cafe.
Beautiful homstay and a lovely cafe which serves delicious food what else do you need on your travels? If we talk about me i'm very choosy about the food and the taste. But in Ara cafe food was very delicious and upto the mark. I ordered a veg biryani, egg roll and a hot chocolate, it was without any doubt one of the best meals i had during my travels. I will recommend Ara cafe to everyone because it some very delicious food and also it is very pocket friendly.
One of my most tranquil vacations! Starting with the beautiful drive from Delhi to Bir and the final destination Parvatah, it was an outstanding experience from start to end. The only boutique property in Bir in true sense, very comfortable rooms, amazing hospitality and great views. They have parking space in the property, plus, they will arrange every required thing at the doorstep. From cabs, to bike or cycle on rent, to sight seeing tours. They will do everything to make your trip an amazing one.
Their menu has almost everything you can think of having in the mountains. We ordered the momos, egg roll, thukpa, pizza and hot chocolate and it was all great and served hot! Makes the stay even better when you get yummy food
Had an amazing stay at Parvatah, it was my friends bday and I wanted to make it special for her, the hosts helped me in planning it the way I wanted. They had made special set up on the roof top for the cake cutting, which was so amazing, my friend just loved the surprise. Apart from that they were superb in arranging everything at doorstep, be it rental bike or cab.
Food was another big plus, it is way way better than the normal mountain standards and can compete with the Delhi food standards anyday, the staff was cooperative, the rooms were excellent in terms of comfort, cleanliness, decor and the ammenities.
