It is magnificent piece of modern day Architecture and Engineering! Do visit this tunnel. It is really a miracle for the people of sissu village, keylong town! They can communicate now throughout the year. This is just a WoW
The Atal Tunal is Pride to us The views you get on the way to Atal tunnel are just WOW. We went there and first snowfall of 2022 started and also the first snowfall of my life. No words can describe the beauty of mountains. Kudos to the engineers who built this longest tunnel at that risky place. Go there by 4x4 car only as the roads are slippery and only experienced driver can drive there.
Solo travelled from Delhi to Here in December 2021. Had plans to stay in sissu but due the weather conditions military didn't let bikers to go across atal tunnel. Mesmerizing Journey!
Breathtaking experience. Must Visit! Police checking at both sides, do not carry cylinder or butane gas, police will take it. No halting or over taking inside the tunnel. At exit the view will blow your mind. Must Visit once. For full details watch my video on YouTube.

There is no charges for entering into the tunnel. If you want to visit the model room located at south portal, you will need a pass from BRO, which can be get by online as well and that's chargable.
This is an engineering Marvel executed at the most inhospitable environment and at one of the highest mountain passes. One must watch the excitement and enthusiasm celebrated by people at the beginning and end of the journey through the tunnel. People flock to take selfies and photographs and the whole mood is celebratory. It is indeed a moment to cherish for the lifetime. This is one of the most strategic infrastructure for the country bordering China and obviously the security is very tight, but people are allowed to celebrate and enjoy their moment being at a place of such importance.
The entire tunnel is well maintained, brightly lit with sign boards at evry 500 meters indicating the distance to go.
Work is still under progress at either ends to provide public amenities, security check posts, shelter for emergency services etc
