Backwoods Mountain Camp Hamta

This place is a heaven on the mountains and you will experience the best hospitality & Company from Vikas Bhai and co. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths.

On of the best experiences and stay. Loved the Hospitality By Mr. Vikas. Clean, well maintained, Amazing view and delicious Food. Everything was nice about the place and stay. Kudos to Team Backwoods.

Very good place to stay. Enjoined a lot. Ramesh bhai is a great cook. He cooked mouth watering Paratha for us in breakfast and also special omlette. Also helped us a lot. Dinner was also amazing. Can't forget the experience. I love you Ramesh bhai.

Worst, rood and uncouth, doesn't know Indian or continental preparation's basics even. He deserves to be boycotted

The Host Vikas Bhai and his wife tsering di were very friendly and welcoming, the camp feels totally like Home, it is really affordable clean camp and washrooms and Ramesh Bhai the chef makes such a yummy food taste absolutely likes homemade food and best part is evening bonfire and pema da singing melodious karaoke songs. If you are around manali than you should try this 100% no cap️

We had a really amazing experience in Backwoods mountain camp in sethan Village (Manali). Especially when we woke up for the view of clouds rolling at dawn, It is best view unforgettable in life.we can do work from hills from this property and had wifi with great speed.
Food is very tasty, Where you can enjoy your desi home made recipes made with ️ by tashi di (host).
Vikas (host) will guide unexplored places for hikes and walks one can do, you can also see couple of beautiful waterfalls near to this property and mainly hosts are very friendly treats us like a family.
I would highly recommend this property in sethan Village (Manali) and also do vist this place in winters during snow, you will experience igloo stay.

I could give more than 5 star to backwoods mountain camp.such a beautiful stay and yummy food i ever had. Hampta is stairway to heaven.i just lost in the nature for 1 week. Thank you Vikas bhai and thasi ji.

Awesome stay at this camp. Owner's behaviour was good. Too much cooperative. As per our request they also made quick arrangement of tents at mid night. This point is at the humta. Reaching here is little struggle, but once you reached here will get unique, awesome and clam feeling. If you are expert of driving in valleys only then should go at such top point.

Nice location.excellent food.the only suggestion to vikas is to remove the music system.some people come here to escape city (rather than enjoy nature) and tend to bring the city with them - instead of enjoying the sounds of nature, they drown that sound in urban music.when we were there, we had 3 young couples from delhi that started playing loud music on the system.we had to finally run into our tents to save ourselves from this assault of music.

Not many people visit since it's not as popular as Rohtang or Solang valley.

3-4 hour trek for beginners before you hit the first major snow point.

One of the starting points for the amazing but tedious chandratala lake trek.

Not many camping options since it was early May when we visited. Recommended time to visit is between latee June and September.

I think this is the best place to spend your holidays. Away from the city and still u feel near to it. The view of the valley from the campsite is unmatched. Hospitality of Vikas bhaia and Tashi ma'am was amazing. They are the best hosts. Food served to us by Tashi ma'am was such a delicious.

An ideal place for camping between the mountains, awesome food, awesome place, awesome location & cheery on the cake is awesome host (vikas & his family)
