Nice location and clean arya and. Cool cool air all side no shrouding.and most important trout fishing available here.

I always wanted to visit this place.and there I got an opportunity in mid of July to visit this place.this place is heaven… there is a sitting near the river side + the camps. I also went to the trout fish farm as I love fish.the staff is very nice & they let you see fish of every life span.the valley is surrounds by a beautiful crown of trees.also there is a Dam where outsiders are not allowed but I just found a way to go near the dam to see the mesmerising view.also they have a large number of food joints available.

Beautiful, calm, not many people around, rather I was there in March and apart from us I found only one group there.
The weather here is unpredictable so carry enough warm cloths to keep yourself warm.
The speciality of the valley is trout fish, which is available here as they do trout fish farming, you can visit the farm to look around. But that comes at good amount.

Preferred for those looking for place to chill out from the most crowded touristy places!

Only for those who loves to drink and hangout! No crowd no such facilities just quiet place for peace

Barot valley is nearby in jogindernagar himachal pradesh but you will really enjoy camping riverside you got tents on rent and the most famous fish Trout fish lovers please try

Less known place in Dhauladhar mountain range near Joginder nagar with lush green Cedar trees.

Best time to visit is during summers, when the river 'uhl' is gushing with white water, surroundings are lush green with local flora & fauna. Trout is available in abundance.but it was worth the effort this season too!

Nice scenic view. But it's the place for tourists in the summer season.in the winters you will get nothing here.the roads are not properly maintained and full mud. The only spot of attraction is the dam. Beauty of himachal is at it's best. One time visit place.

There is nothing much to see there but if you want to spend some peace time away from city then it's a perfect place for you.
And don't forget to eat the famous grilled fish, i have attached the photos.
Overall it's a beautiful place but nothing to explore.
You can also go to villages located at 5-6 km distance to see the village life of people and also there is also another reservoir located at 5-6 km distance but it's a trek if you love trekking you won't regret.

Awsome place to visit. Specially if you want peace. This place is in plain at a very high altitude. River flowing nearby this valley makes it even more beautiful. Very peaceful and away from crowd. Not to forget Barot special fish - Trought fish.

Barot a village, originally developed in 1920s for Shanan Hydel Project is now a tourist location in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Barot was difficult to access until 1975 when a road was opened. It is situated 40 km from Jogindernagar and 66 km from Mandi, the district headquarters. The road to Barot branches off at Jogindernagar-Mandi high ways and from Jogindernagar the distance is 40 km. It is sometimes possible to use the funicular trolley from Jogindernagar which reduces the distance to 12 km. The road route includes terraced fields and thick cedar forests, rising to Jhatingri at the hilltop. The remains of the summer palace of the former rulers of Mandi are located here. Through the little village of Tikkan, the road carries on to Barot. The town has a range of outdoor activities, including a trout breeding centre from where fish are released into the Uhl. A 30 km section of the river is used for angling.

A wonderful beauty and underrated places in the Himachal Pradesh. Is one of the most beautiful and still clean places. Known for the dam nearby, it has got Various camps set up by many localites, which have a decent cost for tents and a wonderful hospitality. The scenic beauty is exceptional, and the place is still virgin to many outlanders. The place gets normal snow when in winters and can be a wonderful picnic spot. This area can be taken as a wonderful vacation spot for many.

Beautiful perfect for camping, trekking and old style home and people of this place are so friendly and kind heart. Famous for trout fish and good for fishing. Cheddar trees and fresh air even in summer season you never feel its like winter. Beautiful weather and surroundings. Best visit for summer season.

Barot is very beautiful place in himachal Pradesh. We are going to there after 2months there is one camp day 2 day.his owner Manmohan thakur g is very nice person. He is look like a family member.

A small valley with abundant breathtaking views. Barot is clearly one of the most underrated places in Himachal.

Very peaceful place and resort is too much good.we had camp fire +dj night.we trek to nearby places and had bathed in waterfall. Rejuvating from city life in lap of hills.with friends.one must visit to beat the heat.

New emerging hill station, in coming year huge number of tourist visit here.in future it also come in category of famous hill station like Manali, Dalhousie, Shimla and Dharmashala etc.
