Bella Heights

We stayed at Bella Heights for 3 nights. We were a family group of 7 people. The hotel is in a good location as it has a good view. It has a rooftop restaurant. But the person who takes orders is dumb. He always made mistakes. So I'd suggest you order from the hotel owner lady who is helpful and takes good care of the guests.

On our last day, we requested them to keep our luggage as our bus was at night. They refused to keep it so we had to book a room for a day to keep our luggage. I did not like this as many hotels and hostels have luggage storage facilities for guests.

They r Cheaters they booked our rooms but when we reached there they refused to give rooms.they spoiled our full day we were with family n it was heavy rainfall that day we faced so much of inconvenience due to them.never book rooms here.

We went and at the very beginning the receptionist was very rude, the hotel too is little overpriced and far away from the central market.

Absolutely value for money. Exactly as shown and promised. North indian food was very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

I booked a bullet and hike through their contacts and the vehicles were in great condition.

Finally. Save for last review on my 2weeks exploring India.

This is the hotel that I really expecting to stay base on the good reviews and my most expensive paid hotel room on my entire journey. INR3000 per nite with bfast.

I arrived late around 22.40hrs by bus from Dharamsala.
Took only few minutes by taxi from bus stand.

From the websites hotel had no availabilities but I'm trying my luck.

Reached hotel the receptionist said they can accommodate me for 1 nite. I feel lucky, due I had few cash left, I asked if credit card acceptable the guy say yes but to swipe it tomorrow morning. Given my passport for details.
Asked where can I have dinner, he said its available on the roof top restaurant. I'm so hungry due to 8hours bus journey from Shimla. I briefly tell them my situation.

All begins starts from here.

I'm a budget traveller been traveling so many places and myself was an ex 5* resort hotel staff. I can give details of my uncomfortness but here just point a few.

1. As I'm a ex.senior supervisor of front desk whenever how busy you was even you on changing shift mode, guest is a priority.
Don't rush.
My passport never return and its was still inside the photo copy machine, I only realise it while unpacking.

2. You had to be in customer shoes - he saw I'm tired and hungry. Should suggest or quickly call the restaurant that I coming due its already closing time.
I found out later the restaurant closed and room service is not available.
I sleep hungry.

3. When there is a vacant room that can be sell you must put VC. Vacant Clean. Out of my hungry, found out I had a small packet of biscuit and another frustration arised there is pack coffee/tea plus cups and sauces but no kettle, no bottles of drinking water and minibar is empty. I called for it twice only later send by the bellman instructed by the nite auditor. My first call answed by the receptionist.

4. Bell man - if you expecting tips from guest please master your rooming skills. Especially foreigner maybe he is not used on how your hotel works.
I give him 2 upon 5.5. Check out - the Manager (owner of the hotel) instruct his staff to send me to town getting the cash from ATM machine as their Credit Card doesn't work. I ask for extension of stay but unavailable. Ending up I had an enjoyable stay in Green Hotel in Mcleadganj town for another 2nites before my next destination, Amritsar.

6. I had a room on 3rd.floor with balcony but it's facing to the next top floor hotel rooms that I can see through some actions happening in the room. The curtains is widely open and the lights is on.

Bright sides - I personally met the manager/Owner of hotel during bfast. A very good looking, down to earth guy. He is looking after servicing restaurant staffs while meeting with all guests having bfast.
The roof top restaurant is as what I expected. Beautiful beautiful beautiful unspoilt mountains views.

U can find better hotels in the same price at same prices, please think atleast one time, only the waiters are the best hare.

The best part of this hotel is it's staff from the restaurant. They went beyond the set menu and prepared food for us suiting our pallet. They even cooked vegetables like we do at home from the veg that we brought and gave to them. The premium room that we had was really big and comfortable for 3 persons. It had an attached balcony and the view was ok as we were on the first floor. View from upper floors was better. The hotel is situated very close to the market and the monastery. But there is a steep climb to go to the market, so elderly people, please use vehicles. The hotel loses 1 star as it exorbitantly priced for the kind of facilities they provide. We had a breakfast + dinner package but there was no buffet. We had to choose from the menu. Overall the stay was good.

The best hotel to stay in, hotel rooms are so clean and the hospitality of the staff is too good. The food they serve is too delicious with the quick service. The best part of the hotel is roof top terrace the view from the roof top terrace is simply breathtaking.my overall experience was awesome i would love to visit this hotel again. If you want to spend the best moments with the great hospitality of the hotel and breathtaking view i will surely suggest this hotel.

The hotel staff were nice and tried to help us but there is a insect issue at the hotel our room was crawling with bugs.

The hotel could be better maintained. It is unclean and smells. The only positive thing is their food and staff.

Below average hotel - not suitable for solo travelers. They do not take signatures on food bills and then do fake billing to extract money. Food was so so. Room is not cleaned despite request. They did not take my payment by credit card. Even simple items like tea & toast are served after one hour. Laundry was not available. Only good point is its location is very good.

Beautiful location, I visited this hotel couple of times, room was clean, service was good and they care about guest. Best part of the Hotel is that it is not in crowded area nor so far.it's only 150m from Dalai Lama Temple. Staff is ready to help you and if you have any issues front desk is very helpful, will visit again next year. Super deluxe rooms are spacious.

I am very happy to share my review of staying at the Hotel Bella Heights Inn. Wonderful and very attentive staff who are very polite to customers, excellent service. Incredibly fascinating views of the mountains and the valley, and the open terrace just made me delighted. Will definitely visit again.
