Best Paragliding in Shimla - The Glide Inn

Just amazing! I’ve done paragliding here and love the thrill of paragliding so if you want to paraglide or any adventure sports I recommend that place and don’t forget to do the camping.

Had a wonderful experience at the Glide Inn. The staff and owner took extra efforts to make you feel comfortable. The paragliding experience was amazing, one of the best set ups I have seen in India. Kudos to the Glide Inn team, they are doing a brilliant job

It was great experience exploring winds clouds mountains and the thrill above 7000feets. The Glide Inn Pilots are amiable in nature, who made me feel safe and comfortable first (I was a bit scared) and then showed me spectacular skill in navigating the paragliding, we flew much above the clouds, approaching big birds that were cruising around and then finished with most exciting spirals towards landing. They are professional in every inch, from the time they greet you in their booth, preparation before the flight, in the sky and after.

Did paragliding and it was a fun and relaxing experience. The drive up was narrow but the drivers managed the roads quite well.

We did paragliding in the morning here. The Glide Inn is in a beautiful part of the mountains and a really nice drive up. The paragliding itself was very smooth and you can tell the paragliders are very experienced and they made the whole thing a really comfortable experience. The views were incredible and we only wish it could be longer. We also did a heritage walk and camped overnight at the space. The staff are really hospitable and make you feel right at home. If you go for camping you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner at the dining area. All of the meals we had were super delicious and they were really generous with the portions. At night there was a bonfire which was really nice in the cold night. The host is an engaging and approachable gentleman. Thank you so much!

Did my first paragliding with them. This is one of my best experiences. Shimla is a beautiful city, and even more so from up there. The whole team make sure you feel comfortable and safe. Thank you guys!

I m highly impressed with the hosts but while coming back our cab driver told us that this place is illegal for paragliding. I wonder how can local authorities ignore this

We took a full day package at the glide inn which included paragliding, tree adventure, forest walk and lunch. We enjoyed everything we did. This was definitely one of those decisions which we will never regret. The hosts were also very warm. Overall a great place to spend some quality time.

I had a memorable experience at Glide Inn. The location is absolutely pristine which is itself amazing and it's very clean and respectful of nature. The folks running it are courteous and professional. The paragliding experience was great fun. Arun and Shivam ensured complete safety and I was fortunate enough to have a total flight time of 14 minutes. All in all a must do. Thanks team Glide Inn.

An unforgettable experience and quite possibly the highlight of my life until now. The pilots and guides at The Glide Inn are professional, kind and knowledgable. No need to worry about how safe it is — the professionals have got it all under control. About 5 minutes of fly time and each second is just splendid. Would do it multiple times if I could.

Arun and his team are extremely good from planning your adventures (paragliding and treks) to safely ensuring that you enjoy these activities. The glide Inn also has very gracious hosts for their camping and restaurants.

Here's my review for The Glide In. I would rather give it 2.5 stars if permissible.

Pros:
1. This facility for paragliding is located at a very picturesque location.

2. Being at a remote location, Washrooms have been maintained very hygienically. I'm saying this because you will have to be at this location for few hours before you get a chance to glide.

3. A small in house restuarant offers variety of options to eat. Being with family and kids, it is an advantage.

4. Owners/staff are highly professional.
Been into this business since 2 decades.

5. A cricket pitch to play during the time of your wait to fly.

Cons:

1. A small stretch of road, connecting the main road to gliding site is very bad. A hatchback might not be able to get on to the steep and raw stretch of road.
Getting on to that would be your own responsibility.

2. Paragliding is Slightly over priced as compared to other locations in himachal.

3. Only 3-4 gliders/pilots are available in total who first drive you by their own car to the take off site in a batch. So one has to wait for a long time for his turn to be a part of the next batch only when the pilots and car driver return back to base location. That wait exhausts almost half of your day.
If you randomly walk in to glide, without booking, you may end up waiting 3-4 hours for your turn. Which is totally not worth.

4. Flight duration is the biggest drawback. Only a max of 10 minutes that too if wind is favorable. Else you'll be in air only for 4-5 minutes. That much of a flight is equivalent to not flying at all.

5. No camera person available at the landing site to capture you gliding.

6. Fare for "go pro" camera to record you during your flight is exceptionally high.

I've been fortunate to glide some time back at Indru Nag Dharamshala and comparing it to the one at the Glide in at Junga, I would recommend NOT TO GLIDE here at The Glide In at all. Won't be a worthy enough experience. Rather wait for this wonderful opportunity at some other location in Himachal like Bir Biling or Manali or Dharamshala.

Dont know about paragliding buuuut the location at which is located is worst. Dont ever think to go there by your car else you will end up losing clutch plates and tyres.they should provide transportation to provide pick/drop for that pathetic stretch of 300M steep way to it.

We had the best experience at The Glide Inn. We did paragliding and trekking which gave us the satisfaction of enjoying a fulfilling day They have camping facilities too. Please do visit if you are around this place.

Superb location, excellent property, and very good for paragliding. Also good for young kids as they have an adventure zone. The staff is super experienced

Went paragliding. Well trained staff. Good experience. We were lucky enough to not have any crowd so it was peaceful. Food was good nothing to rave about but good food. Staff were good. Toilets very clean.

Awesome experience.we had a great time at Glide inn near Shimla.we did Paragliding and also had adventure activities. Also our guide Shubham took us to a trekk to a hidden Waterfall.overall it is a must visit place and you will definitely have a fun filled day
