Bhagsu Naag Temple

It was not worth the hype. The temple is small. Not managed well. Pandit ji was there but special puja are not done fyi.
The only good part was the clean pool adjacent to it. Surprisingly many people are using it.
Overall not worth a visit to this place, but we were here for 5 days so had some spare time. The waterfall can hardly be called so and nothing great about it. After the Triund trek this was a disappointing trek. Takes 30 mins to climb up from the temple to the waterfall. There is zip lining too in case that interests.

It's free entry. The pool water has medicinal properties to cure skin disease and stomach problems

About 1.5 km from Mcleadganj, it is a serene holy place. The temple is deep rooted in history. The bathing pond and the Bhagsu nath falls are an added attraction. Good eating joints plus adventure activities like flying fox etc are there.

A medieval shrine, Bhagsunath is Shiva Temple situated about 3kms from Mcleodganj. The temple has been highly revered by the Hindus and the Gorkha Community. The sacred shrine is famed for its two pools that are believed to have healing properties. The best time to visit Bhagsunath Temple is during the annual fair that takes place here in the month of September. The Dal Lake, Kotwali Bazaar and Bhagsu Fall are the main attractions around this holy shrine.

History:
The legend has that King Bhagsu built this temple after seeking forgiveness from Snake God. It is believed that Nag Devta was raged in anger as King Bhagsu stole water from the sacred Nag Dal Lake here. Later, the king repented and built the temple in reverence to Nag Devta.

According to another legend, this shrine was the patronage of a specific Gorkha community called Bhagsuwala (after the God Bhagsunag). It is also believed that these rulers built the two pools of water here with tiger-head spouts. A double-story wooden house for pilgrims was also built by them.

Bhagsu Naag is a Shiva temple. This is approx 2 km from the Mcleodganj main market. Paid parking facility is available near the temple. Don't miss to visit Bhagsu Naag waterfall which is just 500-600m treck from the temple.

A small market, resturants, hotels and toilets available. Overall all a nice place and views, one should must visit if your are in Mcleodganj.

Natural shivalinga of Bhagwan Shiv, mountain views, waterfall on going upside, beautiful natural scenes around the place. Better to come with raincoat/umbrella.

Small yet serene temple located at entry to famous Bhagsu naag falls. Must pay your visit to the temple nd head to falls.
Don't forget to check on the shops on the way to the temple.

Only fan of chef Sashi Vinod which gives us delicious food with their great magical hands. Taste occurs only the hands of "chef Sashi vinod" not the ingredients which they mix in food

Good place for prayers and fun. Water pond nearby for swimming. Waterfall at a short distance. Many eating points nearby for all budgets. Road is mostly choked in tourist season. Parking is very small.

There is no sense of writing a review of a temple.but still I will write few words to express my gratitude to the almighty.bhagsu naag temple is oldest temple at maclodganj.
Its a shiv mandir and idol of other Hindu gods are there too.the temple is not so huge but it gives lots of peace and spiritual energy

Nice place to visit at the start of Bhagsu falls, which is thronged by tourist. No harm in paying a visit since the fall trail starts a few meter's away.

Bhagsunag is the famous tourist place near Mcleodgunj. Bhagsunag is the combination of two words Bhagsu+Nag. Shiv temple is opposite swimming pool and on the way of Bhagsunag waterfall. Swimming pool in the courtyard of temple mostely used by males. Crowdy place but there is small swimming pool people are enjoying there. Hotel is good and rooms are easily available for single, couples and families. Market is also good for shopping. I was spent my best time there for 3-4 day I enjoyed all places surrounding Mcleodgunj. I would recommend to everyone go there and enjoy the cool water of the hills and your trip.

Great place, very old ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Well connected by road, just a KM from the Macleodganj Busstand. Auto takes only 50 rupees, never waste money on taxi. They charge too much.

Awesome place, kund and water fall especially in Monsoon. This place is nearby Mcleodganj and Dalai Lama Temple. There is Bhagsunag Temple and sarovar is near where you can take bath. You will enjoy here. From sarovar there is a way to go to waterfall. You can see waterfall from all over the way and enjoy there. But be careful near waterfall because it is on height and slippery place. Take care of your children. All in all good place to visit and enjoy. But safety should be your priority.

Nice temple. It is located 2 kms from McLeod Ganj, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Bhagsu Nag, the snake god, and to Lord Shiva. A freshwater spring, in which pilgrims to take a holy dip flows through the temple.
