Good nice small museum with different sections on chamba history. Not something kind of grand place if your comparing with museums in metro cities.

The art objects displayed in the Museum were related to art, craft and cultural history of the Chamba State and stand as an eloquent testimony to the life of past and have their value in the assessment of art and culture of this region. Museum possesses more than 8500 antiquities and art objects related to Art, Archaeology, Craft and Cultural Anthropology. Being a regional museum, more emphasis has been given to the Art, Cultural and History of Chamba region.

This museum is situated in the main city chamba. A must visit place if u are visiting chamba. This museum contain so many old age things which were used by the kings of that time and others people. Museum has parking facility nearby and a very beautiful park where u can sit or walk for a while to relax your mind while looking at the old sculptures.

Small decent museum consisting of 6 rooms spread over 3 floors. Charges 50 Rupees for camera! But, restrooms are dirty.

Situated near Chaugan ground Chamba near Govt. Hospital. It was founded in 1908 by Raja Bhuri Singh to preserve the cultural heritage of Chamba. Entry ticket is Rs. 20 per Indian Citizen. Rs. 50 will be collected if you want to use camera inside the museum. Admission timings are 10: 00am to 5: 00pm.

Awesome! Coins that were used during BC's are even kept and well maintained. And I got to see many statues and guns from early centuries. We were charged 30 rupees per head for Indian citizens and 50 rupees per camera which I didn't get it. Fines were imposed to those who take pictures without tickets for photograph. And I just managed to get the building and just the name tag of a statue.

Bhuri Singh Museum named after one of the rulers of the principal state of Chamba, historically known as "Odumbar Riyasat" which had it's boundaries extended till present day Una. The museum has so much to offer for art lovers, culture of olden times, the mattle work, art on stones, depth of artistry in silver jewellery, on silk fabric with famous Chamba Rumaal depicting the Pahari miniature the weaponry showing the might of the ruling legacy. The museum is living history of more than 1700 years covering both Brahampur.the present day Bharmour, the first and ancient capital, to the entire region of district Chamba. Chamba has older history than any other district of Himachal. At present the museum is taken care by the most hardworking curator Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, a Padmasri awardee, an ardent lover of art who has worked much deeper on pahari paintings and is one among the few renowned painters, who, has unmatchable knowledge about Kangra Miniature Paintings as well.

Good place to go. Only if you have interest in knowing history of chamba (only). Besides they have fine collection of ancient coins.
