It is one of the best places in Himachal Pradesh, especially if you are looking for a place which is not very crowded.
We visited on 29th December 2023. The weather was cold, but not unbearable. It is warm during the day due to Sun and gets colder in the night, but again not unbearable.
We basically did the over-landing in our FJ80 Land Cruiser here in the forest, so we did not take any hotel/homestay to stay.
We chose the spot right in the middle of the forest, but which is on the road. So, this spot was about one kilometre towards the Barot road, from the Paragliding site. You just have to keep going further from the paragliding site and you will see a patch of vacant land on the left side on the road, which is an excellent spot for camping or over-landing. It is big enough to park 3 SUVs and very peaceful, safe and serene.
When we reached there, we found some stones already put for lighting a fire. We had our coal and wood, which we brought from home, so we had our fire lit for almost half the day. We had all the food with us. You should carry your own food, cooking equipment and water along, because the supplies are about 1 km away from this site.
It was very safe. Nobody disturbed or bothered us.
It is a little hidden spot by the mountain from both Sun and Moon, so the sunlight or moonlight does not reach here.
It gets very dark in the night here, pitch black (around 6 pm), so make sure you carry 2-3 battery lamps with you.
We slept inside our car, turned the heat on for about 30-40 minutes and after that it was very comfortable throughout the night.
The last vehicle from here we saw was around 6: 30 pm in the evening and the first vehicle we saw in the morning was around 9 am.
In the evening, we heard some wild birds, which scared us a bit but it was okay and normal for the forest area.
It is a beautiful place. We had an excellent experience over-landing here.

Beautiful place with beautiful lush green Mountains.highest pera gliding site must visit if like to be closer to the mother nature.
