Best feeling. It was my 3rd paragliding and it was beyond normal. Flight time was around 15-20 minutes. Normal prices are 2000 for paragliding 500 for GoPro video and 500 for advanced Acrobatics. Do try if you're in Himachal.

Wow what a beautiful place and paragliding experience is like breath taking. We should visit once this place atleast for paragliding and scenery. Best price for paragliding would Rs 2200. You guys need to burganing. Though I would suggest not more then one day stay there.

Awesome place with very good view and this is worlds second highest paragliding site. You can enjoy paragliding for around 45 min.

No control by any govt agency. You do not know whether pilot is fully trained or not. Pilots need to be graded. Price asked by them is at their will. It should be fixed as per quality if pilot. Regular inspection also needed. Landing ground has small stones which caused injury on landing. But despite all this, it is good experience

A beautiful place for adventure lovers for para gliding. Bir is the landing point and Biling is the take off point approximately 17 Kms from Bir. It takes about 40-45 mins to reach Biling and 15-20 mins to come down gliding. A must for all those seeking adventure. A nice experience. Charges are Rs 2500/- per person including video.

The Bir-Billing area is a popular site for paraglider pilots, both Indians and visitors from all over the world. The flying season is from September to October, with some flying also done in November. The village continues to host periodic international competitions and events.

This is amazing beautiful place nice to camping. Car takes u there. Silence is there. U can feel it. Many stars to see at night. Morning to evening time paragliding happens there this is world s second highest paragliding more than 2400 metres. Its beautiful experience. At camping bon fire was there veg and nong option was there. Have to tell before evening for order as they will bring from bir in cars. So better tell early. Tracking options also there to further places. Better to take guide. Bear may find u if u roam late evening in jungle.

Billing is famous in the paragliding community as a launch site that opens your way to the mountains of Himachel Pradesh and the Indian Himalayas. You will find charming chai facilities and wonderful views of the mountains to the back and the valley out front.

(Bir-Billing)

Set amidst the mighty Dhauladhars, Bir-Billing is one of the most serene place in the Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh. A Tibetan settlement is famous for Paragliding, quaint monasteries, Tibetan colony and the lush green bed of tea plantation.

14km north of Bir, is a paragliding launch site known as Billing, at the elevation of around 2400m. Mostly regarded as the "Paragliding capital of India". Despite of being spellbinding, Bir Billing is not that much crowded as the other sites in Himachal. Generally people visit the site to experience the extreme adventure of paragliding.

Multiple stay options and restaurants are available in chaugan (Bir) depending on your budget. One can also rent a tent or setup his own tent uphill in billing. Spare some time and experience the windy hike uphill in billing. All sort of vehicles including bicycle, activa, bikes, cars are available on rent in Bir at an affordable price.

My best part of this journey was to visit the soulful monasteries of Bir and hiking uphill in the torrential rain in Billing, just to see the fluttering Tibetan prayer flags at the apex of the mountain.

2) Local buses/taxi are available from Bir to Billing/Barot/Kangra/Dharamshala.
3) Open throughout the year.
4) Must visit all the monasteries and try to stay near the monastery.
5) Paragliding rates depend on the duration of the ride and on your talent to bargain. General cost for 25min ride is ₹2500 (including GoPro video).
6) Don't forget to try the local restaurants.
7) Nearest places includes Baijnath, Joginder Nagar, Palampur, Dharamshala etc.

Heaven on earth, the way from Para gliding site to starting point is a spin chilling experience, the narrow and curvy ruff roads are a real challenge for visitors. I drove swift car, but suggest an 4*4 car for this place. Tea gardens, friendly guest houses are an attractive options, but limited space and food options are a reall challenge.

It's a hill top above bir. It's hight is about 8000 meter. It's an open paragliding site. People used book their glide from bir and the service provider bring them towards billing the gliding site. It takes 40 minutes to reach. You can find some cottage and swiss tent for a night stay. Which is going to be an amazing experience. You can find some small food shops which can provide you eggs, Maggi, paranthe, Tea n some packed snex.

Awesome place. Close to nature in real sense. World famous paragliding spot. In winter snow. In summer no warm temperature. Bt in recent time bcoz of govt 's neglecting attitude and as usual Indian attitude exploiting dis place. Bt still better than McLeod ganj. Cm n feel your self.

I did paragliding here which is also the highest point for paragliding in Asia. Unforgettable Experience! It is completely safe and one should do para gliding atleast for once in life to get a experience of how it feels to be in air, so light, so free, mesmerising beauty to see from up there.

One of the best paragliding destination with worst road. Attn. H. P Govt. You need to do proper re-carpating of this road if you want to attract tourist from other states!

Had spent new years eve here with friends the place is a pure bliss. So peaceful mountains and clear sky. Most importantly the Paragliding and the thrill to do it from world 2nd highest place. One should go and do that, it should be in you bucket list.
