Excellent warm place. Felt like home away from home. They took well care of us. Would surely recommend.

Such a wonderful location and a lovely place to stay. Beautifully maintained rooms with all available facilities. They have in house arrangements for food and their team will come and cook in the kitchen. They are quite hands on and can dish out a full meal in under an hour. They also arranged for a barbecue and both veg and non veg were simply quite tasty.
You need to climb down the stairs to get to the bungalow, so be ready to walk it up to come on the main road.
Overall very well maintained and a very comfortable place to be. If we are back in Dalhousie, this is the place that we will be staying.

The cottage is a cosy property. It belongs to Late Air Commodore Mr. N. Chatrath (Vir Chakra Awardee). The property is 2.5 kms above Gandhi Chowk at a serene location above Dalhousie Public School. Cottage is equipped with a kitchen and the caretaker cum cook prepared food according to our specific instructions. Cottage have two spacious rooms, equipped with heaters, on first floor. Living room and dining area are on the ground floor. Me and my family stayed in the property in May 2023 and we had quite a pleasant stay.

An awesome view with a great vibe. True to its name (A lot of birds and Flying Squirrels). Cook and Care taker are good too.
1) Although there are a lot of insects (especially huge spiders) in the rooms.
2) Also, there is a need for a fan during the night in summer.
3) Cleanliness needs to be taken care of (especially in the kitchen)
4) Stronger heaters for rooms and Hall is required.
5) It is very quiet out there so beware of noisy neighbour.

#StopSearching & JustBook it. We had a great time in Birdwood Cottages. The cottage was clean, cozy, and in a wonderful and peaceful location and the windows looked out onto a green pasture. Our family loved our short stay of 2 nights in this Cottage, and wish it had been longer! Last but not the least the cook cum caretaker (Kamal & Akshay) they provided us are too good.
