Good food with great quantity…normally not every restaurants have tht with such a good view, So close to mall, still away from the chaos …. Friendly staff …this place doesn’t have harsh music playing in your ears ….
The best thing about the place is it's open till late night when the complete market is shut down, saviour for me. Ambience is really good and food is awesome.must visit place in Mall road
Southern Aromas in Northern Panoramas, to put it mildly. Had Idlis, Vada, Tomato Onion Dosa with piping hot Sambar and coconut chutney made from freshly grated coconut. The idlis were soft and fluffy, Vada was crisp on outside soft on the inside, Dosa was golden brown, thick, soft and made with very little oil. The Sambar had the right consistency, typical Tamil Nadu taste and flavor. I met Lalit जी the owner, a delightful gentleman.
The “Bombay Bites”, a place where you must go if you are in Shimla. I being a hardcore foodie from Maharashtra wanted some delicious food after my tiring journey to Shimla, “Bombay Bites” has served me authentic South Indian food in Shimla that I never expected. Its a 10/10 in terms of taste, presentation, ambiance, cleanliness, service and on top of that the hospitality of the staff. The restaurant has a vide range of menu inspired from multiple cuisines. Overall its a must visit restaurant located in the heart of the city. Must try - tomato chutney serverd with South Indian food
A very good option for vegetarians especially for people with jain food restrictions. The owner and staff is very cooperative and courteous. The food is also very good. They do offer delivery too. Do visit when in Manali!
#vegfood perfect place to visit if you are vegetarian and a food lover.best food quality and hospitality. Restaurant is in prime location of Simla also you have an added advantage of beautiful view of Simla city and on the way to Mall Road. Tomato Chutney was the show stopper when I ordered South Indian food. This is the only place where you can experience Bombay food in simla.
This restaurant has very low and bad quality of service. We order dosa and they serve it. When we start eating, there dead fly inside it and when we complaint against this. They totally ignore us. This is most heroic resturant I ever seen. If you are just going there, please check every meal
If you are someone who want every dishes whether north indian, south indian, Chinese or else you can get everything in this place also don't forget to try hot chocolate that is amazing with very affordable prices. Very well organised.
The owner is very unprofessional. He took booking at 7 pm and asked us to come by 9 pm. When we arrived he said, we aren't allowing bookings. We have to wait 40-45 mins more. Had to rush to other restaurants for dinner.
This place is OK as a street side dhaba more then a resturant claiming to serve south india quizine. The place serves sub standard food. Presumably banking on transient tourist customers then trying to grow on customer loyalty. If wanting quality food, don't go to this place. South Indian dishes, difinite NO NO.
Ahh what to say about this super fine dining experience. Went here after reading about the Maharashtrian cuisine availability. Wanted to have some authentic poha and came across this place. Went ahead to enjoy but to our disappointment. They didn't had the raw material available to cook us any. So instead we had to settle with some pakoras and chai! The tea was good, the way we requested. But the pakoras were again a disappointment and even after asking them to fry them properly they didn't pay any heed. The staff was just not co-operative. We just left the unfried potato fritter in our plate. They were that bad! Won't recommend for any special cuisine and expectations. Don't keep any high hopes.
Ok restaurant for a one time visit. Liked their Mumbai special but other food is same generic taste and you won't find anything special about place or food here.
The food is not good as per other joint's of Kamat it was quiet useless, masala dosa and uttapam didn't have any flavour, salt in it.paw bhaji was very oily.
Family restaurant type. Have decent ambience. Food is ok type. Not much spicy.however from kids point of view it is ok for us. Light music at the back create nice environment.
Best one in shimla. Such an affordable price in place where transport is restricted. Pure vegetarian food with different categories from North India dishes to South Indian dishes with also includes sub categories Jain food/spice/cheif recommend Over 100+ units including shimla. Well maintained interior and well discipline staffs. I am really enjoy the north Indian dishes in the main course with Jain food and all recommend other tourist to try once. Heater are all available which will maintain to stay calm when the outside temperature is -2℃. Simplicity in the combination of crockery.
Food pepration was pathetic, dal makhani was rather sweet makni, sweet corn soup was rather sugar soup, mushroom/ baby corn was in full on tomato sauce and paneer butter masala was dipped in sugar pury. Total food was very sweet as they feel sweet is free in our country. No response was given by the staff and manager.
Nice restaurant with an extensive menu. We were very pleased with both the quality and the service. Prices are reasonable, which is great, as Shimla tends to be overpriced in general and it is hard to find a decent place.
Nice food and a good place for sunday dinners with family. The crowd here is decent and many tourists too. Overall the experience of this place was fun and I enjoyed the dinner.
They serve good steaming soup and you should try their lentils. I found that value for money. Courteous staff. Overall nice experience.
I liked the place when I visited on the first day. But second day we found lots of flies. So decided not to go again. (we complained to the staff, but it fell on deaf ears)
Very bad experience food was just third class and morover no bady take responsibility for that even they are not ready accept this thing they don't know the basics of South Indian food.jast waste of money.sorry to say not recommended to any one
Kamat Shimla has increased the rates of snacks exhorbitantly viz-a- viz old rates just within 5 months of operation. Some rates just revised two times. It's not expected in small town of Shimla.
