Buddha House Himalayan Brothers

The location is far off from the city, about 5-7 km away. The hotel staff are courteous and try their level best, but they aren't professional at all. Breakfast options are limited. Hot water comes through solar, so you've to wait at least 30 mins to get it, and on a rainy or cloudy day, it's difficult to get hot water. There are lots of stray dogs in front of the hotel. Overall, even though hotel staff try a lot, they can't make up for the lack of facilities. The electric supply gets off multiple times and takes some time to turn on the generator.

The place is little expensive but the staff is very cordial and the ambience and rooms are very beautiful and spacious. Food was lovely

We had a very good time here. Homely food, good spacious rooms, very good pleasing staff. Our entire group of senior citizens really loved the stay in Buddha house, Himalayan brothers.

We have stayed at this hotel along with family recently. The rooms are well kept, spacious and staff is excellent. Location is bit far from central dharamshala by 5 kms. Area is serene and covered by tibetians. Peaceful to stay away from city hulla bulla. The only problem is they have solar heaters for hot bathing water which wastes 3 buckets to start a hot flow. Reception is handled by ms. Rupali a very soft spoken and cooperative young lady. Canteen is handled by ms. Cherry, himmat singh and others. All are very hard working and cooperative. Full marks to them. Restaurant menu is not much but food is good. Restaurant service needs improvement. In house laundry is a big advantage. Moneywise rates are economical. Rating 4.5/5

Room and bathroom were very big in size, clean and hygiene. Staff was courteous and very cooperative. Food was very good including poha and stuff parantha except they put tomato in dish. My kids also like the hotel. Also, they had ludo, carrom and chess games for kids I hope this review is helpful for people doing remote booking for hotels. Aaryan Narendra Agarwal. Pune

Though we had gone there during the off season, we never felt so because the staff was very welcoming and cooperative who aimed for not only our comfort but also an enjoyable stay! The menu is really appetising and at a normal price range. Will definitely recommend it!

It was an amazing experience staying at this wonderful place.but more than anything, it was the hospitality and the warmth of the staff. It was so good to have met such wonderful people. They were always helpful in guiding us with our To do lists and also with the food, as we were quite a large group travelling with kids.
The upkeep and the view from the rooms was immaculate and mesmerizing to say the least.

We had a great experience staying at the hotel with great hospitality by the staff, overall ambience and cleanliness of the hotel. The location is slightly remote but that makes it special with posing great natural landscaping from anywhere. Food also was great. Rupali, Himmat and other supporting staff were on their toes to keep us served well. We also met the kind owner at the premises. Sorry I cannot spell his name. Overall, a must place to stay at Dharamshala. Thank you guys for making our holiday a memorable one.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The room, the staff, the food.it was all worth it. Plus, the perk of monastery next to it was unhesitatingly the most impressive and exquisite. And, lastly the view from hotel is breathtaking that are set amidst the most picturesque location for the tourists to stay.

We came here for my husband’s birthday. Receptionist and staff were super helpful to make this a memorable stay for us. They helped me with decorations outside free of cost and arranged for lighting too.
Rooms were spacious and clean with balcony. Views from balcony were awesome. I would recommend staying here if you are in Dharamshala. Monastery is nearby and can be visited easily. It also has decent spread for buffet and has few restaurants nearby which offer great momos/Himalayan food. Totally recommended for a peaceful vacation. They also have a guy with Isuzu who helps in going to nearby places if road to the hotel is under construction or generally if you’d like to go nearby.

I've booked a room at this Hotel for two nights between 22nd and 24th but unfortunately am unable to travel due to medical emergency, so I've dropped an email attaching the medical reports for refund and I tried calling the Hotel as well but couldn't reach and no reply so far. I heard from goIbibo team that Hotel has declined the refund which is not fair as it is an exception case. Am waiting for a response from them.

Only place in the vicinity, scenic rooms and restaurant spl thanks to the owner to have taken. Care of us highly recommended places in dharmashala, pls drive carefully whil e ascending to the property, it's located on the hill overlooking the other mountains

I don't rate things negative easily but this prompted me to do so. Due to weather conditions which no one can predict asked for refund, which hotel denied. They Kept on insisting about hotel policies where as it is evident that emergency situations won't give a pre notice. God bless them

Although the road to reach the hotel is slightly narrow, it's close to most of the attractions and the hosts are excellent.
The food is excellent as well.

Location is not good. Congested roads. Food is ok not good. Staff don't have courtesy to give breakfast at table for senior citizens. Overall not so good.

Highly recommended. This’s awesome place with so cooperative staff. Owner himself is so kind and noble who’s concerned with all of his guests. We really loved the place with so neat & clean rooms. Receptionist ma’am is so soft spoken and so nice lady. Overall experience was ultimately amazing…Thanks Buddha house family for giving us so good memories with lovely stay.
