The monistry is cool spiritual place. Good place to visit once because it's very near to mall road. Rooms are also available there. I experienced great hospitality. But he required volunteers to keep the place neat and clean. The room are big and cheaper, rate just RS 500/- per night.

I actually went to Monastery which is near Mall road. So, not sure why it is showing lodge but Monastery is ok.

Bahut hi Sundar hai Dekhne Mein vaise bhi Itni bodies ministry hoti hai aur colourful hote hain bahut Acche Lagte Hain

I would say this is a good option to spend only 30min bcz you would not have enough to do.
Again the beauty of a monastery was very good.
You would able to have some tea snacks at the entrance and along side a lil feel of old manali culture.

Serene monastery with two storied buddha statue and wooden architecture typical of Himachal. The walls were covered with intricate Tibetan illustrations from the jatak katha regarding Buddha's life and his teachings. The Prasad they gave us were waffers and biscuits of popular brands that ppl had offered. There was a separate room with a giant bronze prayer wheel engraved with jatak tales. The walls of this room were also similarly engraved.

The monastery is beautiful during the evenings.

During the early hours, you can find peace everywhere. The lama's continue their prayers while you can rest in the nearby complex.

The hotel reception for booking room doesnt open till 8am.
