Today I visited Cafe 1947 with my family and kids…the behaviour of the staff was ver very bad…they misbehaved in front of our children and when we complained about the same to the owner he was least bothered as his cafe is running fine and he doesn’t care if the staff and he himself misbehaves with a few people…it was as if what harm would one or two people do to us… Please please dont go…his arrogance is beyond tolerance and he doesn’t respects his customers.
The best cafe in Manali! The view is beautiful. Best on a sunny day when you can get yourself a table on the balcony and enjoy the view with delicious food. I ordered Biryani with hot chocolate and the moist chocolate cake with ice cream. I’ve also tried the pizza and noodles here. I’m sure you can try anything on the menu and will not be disappointed.
We visited this place as we had heard of it from many people. The ambience and the location of the cafe is mesmerizing. However, customer service and hospitality can be worked upon more! For food we had veg au gratin lasagna. The taste of this dish was good but the quantity was very less compared to the price. You should visit this place for the beautiful view it offers!
FOOD, LOCATION & ENVIRONMENT The Three major things that I like most of the cafe 1947. I have been so many times there. I have tried approximately every meal & drinks from this cafe. The taste and the hospitality are brilliant. Serve freshly made food and drinks to the customers. The music and the Band are fabulous. Having some jamming sessions are going on.
I used to love this place and the food. However, revisited it recently and was extremely and bitterly disappointed. The food, which already had small portion sizes, was not even good this time. We ordered lasagna, nachos and quesadillas. Apart from that, the place has a great ambience, but this time even the outdoor seating was shut, so no view.
This is probably one of the best cafes in Manali! They make great wood fire pizzas and the service is wonderful. This is the ideal place to chill in old Manali with a great view to the river and a very very cozy ambiance. Must must visit!
Amazing experience of food and service. We were not expecting this type of experience at such a place. But it took us by surprise. Amazing ambience, theme, location, cleanliness. Would go again anytime when visited manali again.
Awesome place for hang out.try there pizza they are awesome.they also have live music so it a great place where u can have good foods, good music and also there location.
Awesome experience. The ambiance is really good. I just feel being in manali they should expand their inner hall or inner area coz i don't think anyone would want to sit outside on a cold night.
Quite hyped place. Food was good. View is very nice besides river, and sitting outside you can see & hear the flowing water of the river. Ambience is good, but due to the hype, I felt the cost of foods & drinks were too steep. One might enjoy the place, but again, found nothing authentic as should be in Manali, but more of a sophisticated pub for those hoping for drinks, party & some booze.
Nice variety of food. Especially the minestrone soup. And actually all the soups are big and with an excelent garlic bread. The atmosphere is Amazon with good music all the time. We visited the place in winter and warmed ourself drinking hot chocolate with rum (recommend!) sitting near the fire. Excelent place
Great cafe. Truly lives up the hype. Great food too, Must try the Irish Hot Chocolate. Just one shortcoming is that once it gets packed, theres a hard chance for others to get a table. Would recommend to reach here around 7pm if planning to have a dinner there. Spend as much time you want then in cozy settings, indoor or the riverside.
Good Ambience. Cozy little place. You can try the sit out area by the river during summers. During winters outdoor seats are very cold. A bit overpriced though. Worth it if you have company to spend a lot of time chilling.
This is a very nice place to enjoy food. They have an indoor and outdoor seating. The food is good on taste buds. Pasta and Pizza must be tried. Non-veg slayer pizza is a recommended dish. Hot chocolate and tiramisu are good options as last course of your meal.
The ambiance was amazing. We sat by the river and it was scintillating.the pan salsa sheesha was exquisite so was the pan fried trout. A must visit once u are in old manali. The location is a little confusing but when u are exploring.you wont be tired of the roads
If you visit manali you have to visit this place. They have some outstanding cocktails and bar menu. With awesome continental food. Every nice place to chillout. And it is situated just beside a flowing stream.
