Pathetic experience. Epitome of unchi dukaan feeke pakwan. U know the amount of mehnat gone into food preparation by the way waiter serves it - his thumb was dupped in serving bowl and one hand was in pocket. Ingredients of the Noodles were not at all fresh
Old place with limited food options. Ordered coffee it came like warm. No washroom I side even to wash hands. Atleast upgrade yourself and get a washbasin. Some people prefer to wash hands before eating. Nothing extra ordinary to eat
Last week we visited Dalhousie, mid June 23. This cafe is centrally located. This was very close to our hotel so we enjoyed eating here a few times. I liked fried rice and Manchurian with gravy. All the mocktails were delicious. There are many shops near the cafe, selling souvenirs. Ambience is good.
Interior is classy having cosy feel. Service is quick. Reasonable prices. A must visit place while strolling in the busy market to enjoy coffee, soft drinks, snacks Or meals.
This place is one of the iconic destinations of Dalhousie! Each and every tourist coming to Dalhousie already knows about it. It is situated at Gandhi chowk. Food was also great and the price is very reasonable. Mostly I love photos and painting on the wall those actually introduce us with the rich cultural and heritage of this old hill town.
Everything we ordered was average or below average. Even a cup of tea was pathetic which I had to leave whole cup. Ambience is excellent but if food quality is improved then this place would be perfect to dine in. Located in main market is great attraction but wouldn't come again here.
Cafe Dalhousie is an old school cafe located in Gandhi nagar, mall road. I came here to grab breakfast and ordered an omelette which was better than expected. I also tried a veggie burger which was surprisingly good. Would definitely recommend if you want to grab a quick bite with good aesthetic environment
Nice ambience. Feels like heritage place. Ordered dosa and sandwiches. Dosa was very nice. Sandwich? Not good at all. No tissue paper was there at the table. No water served.
When we visited this restaurant we saw hardly any customers it was almost empty with the exception of one family. Apparently despite the fact the restaurant was empty yet it took them more than 15 mins just to attend us. That shows their service and priorities towards customers and services. We left after 15 mins yet they weren't bothered. Going through the latest reviews about this restaurant it looks like poor service and tasteless food is pattern here. I guess they are not too bothered about bad ratings either since it is situated at the heart of Dalhousie and they know customers will come anyway.
Ghost town! Very central location, however, never saw anyone entering or leaving the cafe! Only some youngsters taking selfies. Did not have the courage to enter considering the city was teeming with tourists, but cafe was always empty.
This Cafe is good in aesthetics department only. Food is below average, service is slow and they don't even take UPI payments. Even the stalls right outside this cafe accept UPI.
Worst experience I’ve ever had! Pathetic food and poor management. I rather suggest you to try food from the stalls just outside the cafe. They provide way more tasty food with reasonable price.
Worst Cafe in terms of Customer dealing & service. It's actually overhyped due to gandhi chowk location. Staff very rude & un-cooperative.
Yesterday, seen very inhuman rude behaviour by their guard with few customer/visitors passing by, who mistakenly tends to cross by their extended platform/footpath due to traffic & were just leaving. This guy created public scenario within secs by exploding them with abuses & pushed them out, though they were already moving out.
Restaurant staff supported their guard in wrong behavior which is shockingly unacceptable in hospitality segment.
One of the worst experience among restaurants in Dalhousie. It's customer service was very bad. No one cares about customers. We have ordered flavoured shakes as described in menu but they also ordered from another shop beside them Also they are charging two times the cost of any dish, whereas we can find even better taste with low cost in mall road near cafe dalhousie
Really a bad experience. Their service was not at all good. The food quality, taste was also not that good. We had Hakka noodles which was like boiled noodles. No taste at all. I thought this restaurant would be nice. If you will see from outside, you will find it really old vintage-ish type cafe. But my experience was not that good. I would never recommend this place.
Worst cafe in Dalhousie. Seriously atmost worst. We heard many word about this cafe n when we went the restaurant was very dry. Zero customer engagement. Even after placing order no one even offered or ask for water. About food, all dish was high in salt n very stale. Dont try ever.
Worst experience in Dalhousie was to be at this cafe. Got a cake of 1/2 kg for 700 rs and the cake was so pathetic that I would never ever wonder to have it in my life again. I would rather wish to have any sweet dish but not their poor, pathetic quality of cakes. Zero Stars if would have been an option would have given that. Bad behaviour of staff, when complained.
Most famous cafe and over hyped. When we visited we were nearly 8 of us and 2 kids 5 year old. Cafe owner did not have the decency to provide a glass of water as well. After request we got the menu card, since we were extremely tired we placed an order which took 1 hour and food was not even warm. We gave the feedback to the owner and looked at us like so what. I would urge visitors to not go to this cafe. You can easily be fooled by how the cafe looks very elegant but it's just the cover inside it is yucks
The food was not good and people were least interested in providing the service. Do not get tempted by the vintage ambience and exterior looks. There are much better options like Kwality restaurant or Bon Appetit available nearby.
We decided to try this place for lunch as the other place was closed due to snow. The moment we enter this place gave us a dull vibe, there was almost no one in the restaurant. There was only one waiter. Not sure if he was the waiter or manager since he was doing both jobs. We only saw 2 people in the hotel. They ordered Pizza. We decided to order food but they told tandoor is closed/off. So we thought to move out and they seem to have care less about their customer's moving out. Later we saw those 2 girls eating from roadside. I am glad we didn't have food at this place
Very cosy & nice cafe. Food isn't that great but Ambiance and staff are too good. Located on the mall road. It's a old cafe and okay to spend your evening here. We ordered hot chocolate which was admired and tried one masala tea.
Really a bad experience. No one was cooperative. They just gave the food and went and didn't ask for anything else. The food quality, taste was also not that good. We had chole chana which was really oily. Oil was dripping. Then we had Hakka noodles which was like boiled noodles. No taste at all. They do not take card payment or gpay. You have to give cash. I thought this restaurant would be nice. If you will see from outside, you will find it really old nice place. But my experience was not that good. I would never recommend this place.
