Food and service has drastically degraded
The focus isn't on customer satisfaction at all now
Also the focus is shifted to the new restaurants of the same group
PIZZA & Thai curry was really bad
Pasta was good
Drinks were great
Needs high level improvement

The cafe is located towards a end of mall road, having a great view from one side of cafe.
The food was also good.

Beautiful cafe on mall road with awesome valley views from outdoor seating. We couldn't eat here as we were already full but still visited as had heard about this place. First floor has hookah etc and not allowed for kids. Outdoor seating is great with mesmerizing views. This place is further down the mall road ahead of Krishna bakery area.

One of my fav places in Shimla the view from here is breathtaking, especially during sunset. The food and drinks are great and so is the vibe. Love love love it

Must try: Pizza and beer.

Good place for winter afternoons to sip a beer.

Pathetic service. Expensive place having low grade service. I was happy when I got my beer but the level of poor service showed up later when they made us wait for an hour and after checking in 4 times they said that the order was cancelled.

I am a non drinker. Went with my freinds. Though drinks served, are great. The food was very bad especially according to their prices. It was not at all justifiable. The food was very average.

If you are visiting Shimla, cafè Simla times hast to be a must stop. I visited this place with my wife and it was total worth our time️. They have their own brewry with is alo a plus plus. The food is extremely delicious. One of the major point is the hospitable staffing. We were served by Jaggi Bhardwaj and he was super hospitable. The instructions we gave for our food preparation were completely followed. While returning, It was quite late hence, on our request, mr. Jaggi escorted us to the car as well.
The Ambience, food, staff, brews and place overAll is LIT.

Visited the Cafe Simla Times with my family today. It was full and we had to wait for few minutes. Ordered Veg Salt n Pepper and couple of pizzas. The food was tasty and everything was hot and fresh. Deducting a point due to the service. Understand that it was full but we had to remind the serving team a lot of times for food, menu and cutlery.

Really bad.being a local they treated me like trash.and the cafe security mis treated with even food was trash

Awesome food, great beer and beautiful views of the valley. Simla Times is not be missed while you're in Shimla.
Tried quite a few things off the menu and everything was superb. Loved the variety of options on they have.
This is not a QSR, so if you're looking for a quick in & out sort of meal, this isn't the place. But then good things come to those who wait ; so sit back, enjoy the music & soak in the vibes.you'll not be disappointed.

The food was awesome and also healthy and even the hospitality also deserve full everything is awesome

(Visit 2 October 2021). This time there was a chaotic experience at entrance, due to mismanagement of the waiting people. Otherwise again had an amazing food experience. Tasty and presentable. You'll be amazed to have very delicious dal makhni and butter paneer. Very soft Rotiyan. Maza aa gaya

Excellent food quality and portions. Be wary of unscrupulous waiter (s) who took cash of Rs 1,000 from the payment folder and claimed our payment was short.

Awesome food. Great cocktails. I love their strawberry and kiwi Martinis. Nicely presented and so fruity. The garlic chicken soup and garlic bread was yummy. I had the chicken Thai curry which was very tasty. Portion size was good and prices are also fine. I felt service was bit delayed. The music was nice and peppy. Really enjoyable time spent at this cafe.

Worst service. Poor management in restaurant. Average food. Very delayed service. Arrogant staff. For me, it is totally waste of money. I will not recommend at all this restaurant for dine-in.

One cool and happening place to hang out.
In house brewery with a variety of beer available is too good.

Cafe is good, bit too much crowded over the weekend. They offer several home brewed beers, I think 4. My personal favorite is wheat beer. Cafe is open terrace and look of the city from top is awesome. Its highly recommended from my end. Cost of 2 person will be around 2k. If you are in shimla do visit the place atleast once. Friendly staff, good service and clean place.

Poor staff. Too much hype about the place because of the view. Food is average. Staff didn't bother asking for order inspite of place not being too busy. It's better to try some other place on Mall road.

It is good place to sit and chat however the prices are not like a tier 2 or 3 city. Be ready to shell out similar prices like Mumbai. Also the place serves alcohol

Firstly the good thing they do serve some amazing dishes and now the negative part the service is pathetic after half an hour we got menu and the food took more than an hour.so if u have some extra time to kill do visit this place

Food is something which is overpriced and not upto the mark. So, would not recommend to someone who wants to go solely for food, however if you want to enjoy Shimla ambiance it is a good place, make sure you are ready to spend well ;)

Really good place to hangout the ambience is phenomenal you can sit either outside or inside since we were a little under dressed for a cold night we preferred the inside. Had an apple cider beer which was actually not that bad (my friend found it bitter).
Had pizza which sucked.
The chicken tikka and honney chilly potatoes were good.
The staff were decent the prices are very steep so if you can aford it worth a visit.

Lovely location to see main Shimla market and neighbouring hills. I visited on a cloudy day and it was beautiful. The pasta and pizza didn't disappoint either. It's on the pricier side though.
Their sister bar on rooftop also offers sheesha and they also have local beers on menu.

Cafe Simla Times definitely lives upto the hype. Within the short 1 hour stay we experienced clear sky, fog and rain. The food is good but the craft beer is the best. Amazing amazing ambience. Definitely a top of the list.

Other than the ambience and a normal view, this is a very over hyped place and provides nothing in return. The service is extremely poor as you might have to look for a waiter to call on. We ordered a pizza and boy were we disappointed, with the prize tag it had it tasted so basic like a road side pizza. Then we ordered a
Pasta which at first they got it wrong.
Overall it's a waste of time and money if you ever visit this place you will be disappointed, It's better to visit other Cafe like Sol which has much better taste and view.

I ordered cappuccino as usual coffee but got in bit broken cup so I am thinking they are not aware about quality check before serve. If you are coming to shimla and want to see view with food and drinks then you can consider this place. They have open air sitting and indoor as well. Open around after 2 pm means take first order from 2 pm to around 10-10: 30 pm. All stars for there ambience and location. We are used to this location since long. Almost since this hotel renovated. But after many cafe open there and close.

Very rude staff. We are staying at willow banks. Tried to get a table yesterday for dinner. But the waiters and other staff were too arrogant to direct us to a table. When we found one ourselves, we were asked to move and empty their 'big' table for larger party since we were only 2ppl! Even after we moved, they did not care to direct us to other table or clean the table we found ourselves. We stood there for 15min. Waiting for any waiter to take out time to clean a table for us but then, finally we had to leave!

Good food but dangerously low portion size compared to the price.

Had grilled chicken and a pizza, together with some cold beverages. I must say that both the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted nice. Also, the seating is outside, and provides a beautiful view of the valley. I can only imagine how amazing it would be during the winters!

The only negative I found here was the overpricing.have eaten at better places when it comes to the price.

I felt the brewed beer is adulterated, as it was not upto the taste and mark as it is supposed to be. (I took a Belgian-wheat beer and an Apple cider). Food is okay and the view is good.
Plus one major negative point is washroom is 4 floors down and you have to take a lift to use washroom even to wash hands.
3stars is only for the view I enjoyed here.

Best place to spend time with our loved ones, had a great lounge with a great shimla view & erotic mountains, must visit this cafe in shimla near lift

You can have the lil less than worst pizza here, rest the quality of chicken was okay not very fresh.
Overall not happy with food but shimla mall road view from this place is just awesome and you can chit chat for hours together because it's too peaceful.
Advice is to order simple food and avoid continental during covid times. Hygiene wise they were very good

Undoubtedly great food is served here. I love the onion rings. Also, their chicken burger is top notch. Chicken Shawarma is another favorite but it ranks below the above mentioned two items in my list. This place is perfectly setup to generate it's own hype. People looking to find people to mingle with will also find success here. In a small city like Simla, I have met very interesting strangers here. TLDR - Great crowd, great food

Amazing food location and ambience - I had the veggie pizza and it was outstanding - happening during evenings - view of Shimla from the corner seats are epic

Other than food, traveling is another definition of my life. In my recent trip to Simla, I check out this place which is pretty popular in the Simla. So, for me it was just an average experience. Ambience good, location is prominent and food quality was good too. They also have a fully fledged bar menu to order from. I ordered some their suggestion and they gave me salty caramel milk shake which was pretty good taste. It’s a thick shake but didn’t justify as they described to me before serving. It was like just another good quality milk shake and that’s it. If I ever visited this place again, that would be only for it’s convenient location and the city view.

The food is good the Thai curry is a must try and so is the soup. Live music at times may not be that great. Alcohol is moderately priced. A good stop on the mall road in the evening

One of the best places to eat at Shimla! The view is beautiful, the food is on point. It's worth every penny and worth your time. The staff is very polite and it's a perfect place to enjoy the wind and the view!

Probably the best cafe in Simla. Specially during evening after sunset. The view is very pretty, you can see the city and sunset directly. Also, the food is good so that's a plus.

Take the last seat on the open seating area. The band performing live decides how long you stay there and how much you spend. Definitely a costly place but worth it. Loaded chicken nachos and mojito is a killer combination. Amazing ambience. Nicest of food.and the feel of being Shimla.

A good cafe to hang around on a weekend. Live Music adds taste to the flavour of drinks and makes sunsets brighter.

Go to this place for view, good food, service, smiling staff and live music. The place is decently huge to accommodate close to 50 people, different sitting arrangements as per individual choices. Food was great and so were the staff.

Live singing takes place around evening. I loved the food and that will be one of the biggest reasons for me to go back to this place.

Quaint cafe with good music in the Mall road. Tried their veg club sandwich - they were able to customise it as per my taste, and it came, complete with potato wedges and a lettuce - pomogranate side. Very beautifully done. I would highly recommend going here for lunch, as the restaurant serves delicious food and has an outdoor seating as well and offers scenic photograph-friendly views of the city.

Visited this place thrice in just one weekend trip. Great value for money. Live music on Saturday evenings. Must visit.

Definitely a place to visit when you are in Shimla, nice view, nice location, good food. They have maintained a good ambience.

This place comes with really great views. One can see the mesmerizing views of the city from the high chairs. The music playlist chosen by them is also pretty good leaving you the ultimate experience with good food options.

A modern and trendy spot to hang out in Shimla with great views across the town (if you get the best seats out on the balcony). The cafe has a mixed western and Indian menu and an open kitchen and the food was good (but not especially quick to come). It is lower down Mall Road so away from the tourist bustle a bit as well. It's a great place to do lunch and hang out.

Lovely ambience and yummiest hot chocolate. Wood fried pizza is also good. Very good quantity of pasta. We tried mix sauce pasta which was good in taste.

It's a beautiful place.you can have a view of entire Simla from this cafe, the decor is just awesome. The only drawback, menu is not much pocket friendly.
