I just love this place.this one is very close to my heart because I visited here with my wife. Best place for couples and best environment and services are also very awesome. Whenever you visit hinamal, you should visit here at least once

Cafe Sol is a great place to visit in the heart of Shimla. It is located on the Mall Road next to the lift, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. For the best views, I recommend sitting outdoors and enjoying the stunning views of the town.

The staff lack basic courtesy and hospitality. Guy named Sanjay misbehaved with us. And yet management took no action

The glasses in which we were served had lipstick marks clearly showing that it was not washed.
Mushrooms were so mushy and uncooked. Above all, the manager had an attitude nobody could handle.

Despite the menu being drastically reduced they have maintained their standard of food. The quantity of food offered per plate is more than sufficient. Taste is good. Also loved the overall ambience here.

This is one of those cozy and upbeat cafés on the busy streets of Mall Road, Shimla. First thing that strikes me is their strict hygiene practices in the times of COVID. Ambience is very lively. Food is super good. Service is fast too. Price is on the higher side but the quality is worth the price. A happening place… if you visit with your friends or family, you can have good time here.

It's overrated and overpriced. The pizza is tasteless and cold. They don't know the meaning of seasoning. The service is pathetic, you would have to wait nearly an hour only to eat overcooked pasta and cardboard texture wala pizza. Don't go there unless it's your last option.

We had one of the best experience at this lounge. The food was amazing and the view along with it was breathing taking. The cost is bit on a higher side but is worth every penny. We ordered salsa nachos and pizza and it tasted amazing. It had a great ambience and you can enjoy live band along with the view.
The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We shifted our seat thrice and they were okay with it. The service was fast.

Good place to have some continental fare with a nice ambience. A bit over priced, but that’s expected for the size of the property and the big serving sizes

Very poor experience with the staff who misbehaved with me and my friends. The management seriously needs to supervise over the staff and recheck the credentials of the latter. I have been visiting this place for quite a long time but today's incident totally ruined my liking for the place. Shame

The place is nice, however food quality and service is not up to the mark. The management need to review food quality and staff/server needs to me more attentive to what customers are ordering.

This beautiful italian cafe is located on the mall road.

The ambience is worth complimenting, evenings here call for a great time. The extended lounge and bar is relaxing, dim lights are sure to de-stress.

The location & ambience of the place draws good footfall but the service is a bit slowed down.
The cafe seems bit overpriced for the price-portion ratio.

1. Grilled chicken burger - 5/5
Delectable juicy burger with layers of cheese, crispy chicken patty and veggies served with fries & sliced cucumbers was surely a taste treat.

2. Pizza - 3/5
Ordered a veg pizza with capsicums, onions & mushrooms. The pizza was decent but I did not find anything great about the taste.

3. Cafe sol special cold coffee - 5/5
Delicious rich & creamy cold coffee served with a thick base of chocolate brownie and topped with lots of whipped cream & chocolate vermicelli is a wholesome treat to sugar cravings.

Each slice was inconsistent with toppings and how cooked it was. Salad was so rotted I had to throw it away or risk food poisoning. The pasta looked crusty so I stayed away should have just stayed away from this place altogether. Awful. Anyone with more than a one star review was paid for sure.

I found this to be completely unacceptable. Bristles should not be side orders to your meal. By the way, it was indeed a HAIR on my food, not a brush bristle. Either one would be unacceptable. The owner did not offer an apology,

Good ambiance good food. Salt was slightly less to our taste, but it's better than being more. Pizza was not too good. Fresh lime soda was nice with continuous bubbles.

I went to this restaurant for dinner but ended up leaving with a full stomach and dissatisfaction. Apparently went to another restaurant to have a second round of dinner. The only two things that were good about the place was the ambience & decor and polite staff. Otherwise, the food was pretty bad and in accordance was exorbitantly priced. Would never visit again

This place is so cool. They also have live music sessions sometimes. Food is great 10/10. Their drinks are amazing. Mocktails cocktails available. Service is fast and staff's behaviour is good. But prices are too high.

These guys don't know anything about barbeque. Worst barbeque which i have ever eaten. They are just serving fried chicken instead.

Worst place I have visited in Shimla. I even stayed at the hotel. The pasta was too sweet and felt pre made and flat and the pizza was worst with pre-made thick base.

Quite a good ambience and tasty food served. Warmth in spaces can be felt here. Also they have a good pastries and cakes.

Nice ambience. Lacking on quality of food and service. First our coffee came late after we have finished our cake and then it wasnt good that made me sick. We were leaving when they said to us our coffee is coming also, honestly you need 30 min for coffee. No apology.

The Cafe Sol Bar has a good view & ambience if one wants to enjoy some drinks. The drinks are priced almost double that you'd pay at other top notch places, and the quality of snacks has also become substandard in the recent days.

The indoor lounge has a menu of their own, and they have quite a comprehensive menu from Continental, Mexican, Italian & Chinese cuisines. The pricing here also is a bit on the higher side, but the taste & quality of food here is better than what they serve outside in the bar.

I went here with high expectations and boy was I disappointed. The chicken steak was inedible except for the sauteed veggies. The vegetarian quesdillas was okaish. May be there are other items in the menu which might be better but there are better places to eat. So, not worth the hype. Ambience was good enough.

The restaurant is next to the Mall Lift. A huge place with good sitting capacity & an open lounge that comes with a great view. The menu is diverse and delicious. I ordered mixed sauce pasta and chicken burger. Pasta was great but the burger was okay-ish. Overall I had a good time.

The cafe is located right at the mall road of Shimla. The ambiance of place of peaceful and have a lovely dining. They serve multiple cuisines and after tasting a particular one I became their fan. The food was absolutely delicious and I saw a whole new variety of food which isn't available easily in the Indian market I mean the restaurant which serve the similar food. The place is definitely worth visiting.

One of the best eating places in shimla. Situated at the busy Mall Road, it has a variety of food items on its menu. And yes, alcohol is also available. The food items I tried, a Sol chicken pizza, was very tasty.

The space here is small, however, I think, as per space available on the busy Mall Road, it may be sufficient.

Prices are a bit on higher side.

Best variety of food and cuisines in Shimla, AC, convinient located adjacent to the lift and on top floor. Right on with The Mall offering a sweeping view from the outside.

Nice place to have food, but the shakes here are just ice cream and milk. Takes quiet some time for the food to be served and the water that is served feels like it's from the tap. I'm here at summer now. The menu has a good verify of Italian and Mexican food. The most common Italian and Mexican foods here are quiet expensive, combos would be nice to have.

I had ordered Lichi shake, but it was litchi ice cream and milk. I am quiet disappointed with the fact that fresh lichi is being sold right outside on the streets in the summer. On top of all the shake is way too sweet and gives me sugar rush. The cafe has a decent ambience and has a name board of "Hotel Combermere" where it should say "Cafe Sol". Given that it is one of the best in Shimla.

I could say the best cafe in Shimla Mall Road. We went there at night and the view from the lounge was amazing. The food was really tasty and the service was really fast. The background music, the scenic view and the cool breeze all summed up to a great ambiance.

Loved it, nothing compares it on the mall road: proper heating arrangements, excellent service and great drinks with food. Do try Pinacolada and Veg platter. Live music needs to be less saddening.:)
At lunch time, sit closer to the air coolers. Beware of Virgin Mary (excess Tabasco) and average Mexican Tacos veggie.

Great food. Though you always have to wait for table. Table management can be improved. One tip: even if they say it would take 10-20 minutes for the table, just keep standing there. They would in all probably give you a table in 5 minutes.

This is a cafe attached to Hotel Cumbermere in Shimla. The ambience is awesome and has a continental feel to it. The food looks as good as they taste. The service is good. The cafe offers a 180° view of the town of Shimla.

The restaurant is situated on the top of Hotel Combermere, and opens right at the Mall Road. We ordered a chicken lasagna, cheese pizza, cream of tomato soup and a white sauce pasta.

The best thing out of all these were: *drum rolls please* Chicken Lasagna!
Overall, the food was good and the staff was very polite, as well.
