Vibes, atmosphere and location is amazing. Good place to click picture but food wasn't that good. You can try once if you are in shimla near jakhoo temple. But don't expect good taste, food was just okay in taste.
It's a good restaurant with modern ambience yet in the middle of the forest which makes it a perfect place to chill.the view is amazing.the huge but docile dogs over there have made it sure there are no monkeys around to disturb people or snatch things from them.the parking charges are 100 per car and are redeemable in the restaurant's bill which is another good thing.lastly it is just at the side of Jakhoo temple and you can see the tall statue of Lord Hanuman just outside the cafe's window.the food is good as well. Overall a pleasant experience.
Visited cafe under tree yesterday and it was a great experience.we tried vegetable noodle. It was yummy and quantity is enough for 2-3 people. In drinks we ordered cold coffee and banana shake. Presentation was really good. Ambience is magical and food is awesome as well. Highly recommend.
This is like a hidden gem near jakhu mandir (shimla). One should walk around 100mtrs to reach the cafe from the main temple complex. Location & views from the cafe are very good. Food is very nice. Overall Good experience is worthwhile.
One of the best cafe in Shimla, primarily because of its location and then food! It’s situated just next to the Jakoo temple and is far away from hustles of the Mall road.
The location and view is amazing. But the food is not up to the mark. We had ordered for a broccoli soup which was just cream and no broccoli at all. And the worst part was - it had hair in It. Also their sizzler they served was cold. Instead in cabbage they used foil paper in the sizzler and on asking them the reason they told us - they dint. Have cabbage in stock. So overall not a good experience. If one wants to just enjoy ten view thrn this is a good place other wise no z
In times of conscious living and conscious consumption we ought to be aware of what businesses we support. The owner of my favourite cafe in Shimla turned out to be a boastful brat. After waiting for almost an hour in a traffic jam on jakhu road I requested him to reverse his car to keep the traffic flow going, to which he blurted out calling me a fool and proudly said that he owns both the parking lots. Sadly I won't be going there again. That's not how most hospitality business owners treat their guests, period.
It was a happening place, very nice view, nice interiors, and to top it all v good food, I tried fruit punch shake and cucumber basil chiller, both were good, made of fresh ingredients and were refreshing
Best place to have lunch at jakhu temple. Had pizza, paneer sabji, cold coffee, pasta etc. Liked everything, its under staffed still rate and service is good.
Good place for a nice meal. We ordered cheesy fries which were not cheesy at all. Some cheese was sprinkled on the top of the fries to make it look cheesy. The fries were quite a lot in the quantity. Coffee was quite nice, and we enjoyed it with the nice view the cafe offers. The staff was in a bit of hurry to close the cafe by 6 PM, which was surprising.
Amazing experience. I went there with my wife and other friends. We had lunch there after we covered our journey from mall road to jhadu mandir. We were hungry and guess what, this place didn't disappoints us and lastly its filtered coffee is must try
Nice place, good ambience, good food. The front desk guy was ok to me, but he hurled furiously at other customers. Maybe while visiting some might want to wear a helmet or surrender completely
I like this place but my last visit was disappointing. Food quality was not appropriate. Pros: awesome view, scenic windows and good ambience Cons: food quality could be improved
This restaurant is purely location & ambience. Really once you reach this place after a climb to jhaku temple. You would definitely love to enter & order your food over amazing interiors & panoramic views. Its a beautiful place to sit in awe & enjoy your coffee. The food is ok. But am sure one is coming for the feel of this place & not just the food.
Such a cute and cosy cafe amid of the mountains Lovely place to have lunch or brunch there You can take gandola from mal road to reach this place Really enjoyed our meal there Ambience was good and staff was also very friendly We really enjoyed eating pasta there It was very yummy Looking forward to visit the place again someday Cheers For more travel updates you can follow my Instagram page @reflecting-souls1310
Was very good. Food was tasty. We loved it. Good ambience. Situated just below Jakhoo Hanuman Temple. Temple doors got closed at 1pm for 30 minutes. So we went there to pass the time which was a very good decision.
Easily the best cafe in Shimla, primarily because of its location and then food! It’s situated just next to the Jakoo temple and is far away from hustles of the Mall road. We tried their tea, veg burger and mix sauce pasta and gladly everything was tasty and the portions were also good! The place is pocket friendly too…
It is just another extra over hyped cafe of Shimla. It is good for nothing. Average food at overpriced rates. Their main source of income is selling borewell water bottles for 60 rs. Not deserve even a single star.
Very nice cafe with wonderful view and tasty Italian food. Jakhu temple is one of the attraction point in Shimla. This cafe is perfectly located with very nice views to offer.
Ambience - 9/10 Taste - 7/10 Service - 8/10
I recommend this place whoever visits Jakhu temple.
What a beautiful place the person must have made really! A cafè made behind Hanuman temple! The food here is also delicious. Pasta, pizza etc all of it. I also had a hazelnut coffee and it was fantastic. Talking about the view, it’s really beautiful, with no doubt. Going a little bit down you’ll find Bhoot Bangla and Amusement park ahead where you can have fun.
Perfect place for breakfast or dinner after Hanumanji's Darshan. Didn't expected such a fancy restaurant would be present at the top. Food was good, you may have to wait little longer, considering the only resturant present thr.
Good set of items covered in menu. Green view maintained inside as well. Ensure to ask for when Rajmas were cooked if ordering a thali (was not fresh, still they served. Had to ask for a replacement). Serving take 20-25min even for running items so can plan museum or garden visit after ordering
Located in the height of hills, this place offers a really amazing food with lots of variety and the best part is, it will not bug your pocket if you are traveling in a group. From Indian to Chinese, all cuisine we have ordered was worth having.
Good location, do visit if you are coming to Jakhoo temple. I am sure you would like to spend 1-2 hours sitting here and eating their delicious food offering.
Cafe under tree is definitely a hidden gem in shimla. Usually blogs will tell you about other restaurants at mall road, but this cafe is definitely worth visiting and even the food is amazing.
I visit first time with my wife shimla from Chandigarh. I visit in thousand restaurants but my life worst experience in this restaurant very.poor quality very poor service.manager or owner what ever sit in the reception very bad behaviour.very badly talk. Never visit in this restaurant. I feel very bad after visit in this restaurant.ugly
Good rusty ambience, complimenting Shimla’s wood Asthetics. Quiet place.
Over all good food. We ordered Fresh juice (watermelon) - as it is - fresh Hot chocolate - good Pizza (Himalayan tribe) - must try Chinese sizzler - must try
Hygiene maintained. Though handwash available in some lock & key room. Waiters not wearing mask. COVID guidelines not followed. Even today they accept cash payments only.
I am probably the first one to rate this cafe this lowest but this is my personal experience for the cafe under tree. The location is without a doubt very good and nature calling but hospitality we faced was worst thing ever. The in charge over there was least concerned for us as a customer.we were 4 adults and 2 kids.we ordered margheretta pizza, peri peri fries and sandwich and the fries were way too plain.like without any masala on it.sandwich was again a so so thing.we waited half an hour for the pizza to arrive but there was no sign. My baby kept crying and the in charge was no where to be seen to complaint for the order we hadn't received. Finally we told them to cancel the order but the person said that they cant cancel. We again kept waiting when after 5 mins the person arrived and told to cancel the order. We cancelled the pizza and left paying our share for the food we had. If this is how you serve your customers then its pathetic already. Thanks
This place is worth to visit, located near jakhu temple it has great ambiance and positive vibes witha great view. We ordered banana shake and pav bhaji (chef special) and it was good. Would recommend this place to visit and put it as a checklist for shimla visitors
After arduous climb by foot to Jakhu temple from Mall Road in Shimla and darshan at temple we were looking for a place to relax and eat something. Lo and behold we found this Gem of a place located right next to the temple complex. We tried some exotic teas and Pizza. Ambiance was superb and the food was great. I can do this hiking just to enjoy this cafe again
Service: prompt, I ordered pasta and a mocktail it was served in 10 minutes Location: awesome Price: justified Ambience: nice, decoration is minimum yet sufficient and gives a natural feeling Finally food I would not say it was perfect but was good
Ambience is great, location is perfect and good place to hangout with friends and colleagues. Food is ok, delivery and preparation time is long one have to wait to place order and same for delivery on your table. They need more server during busy hours or day like Saturday's and Sunday's afternoon till late evening!
Its an awesome place with a nice ambience and good music my personal favourite are the pizza’s, yes all of them, and the mixed sauce pasta. The pasta has a cheese stretch btw
Great cafe with great ambience and the food quality is really good. We ordered chinese sizzler, it was good and the manchow soup was also worth it. The view is simply breath taking. Make sure to try when visiting Jakhu temple.
