I had an absolutely fantastic experience staying at Nandini Villa in Dharamshala. This hotel truly stands out as the best in the area. The breathtaking views from the rooms are nothing short of amazing, and the staff's behavior is exceptional.

What truly sets Nandini Villa apart is their dedication to guest satisfaction. If you need anything at all, just ask, and they will go above and beyond to arrange it for you. Whether it's renting a scooty or a car, they have you covered.

I must mention my exceptional experience with Rajan, one of the best drivers in Dharamshala. He not only guided me through the city but also took the extra mile to fulfill my requests. I had some unique and difficult-to-accomplish requests, such as trying the local food, and he not only guided me but also took me to an authentic restaurant where I could savor the local flavors.

In my book, Nandini Villa deserves a rating of 10 stars or more. They truly made my stay in Dharamshala memorable, and I can't recommend them enough!

The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, the family that owns the place is full of positivity and joy which can be felt in the property as well. BONUS- Pet- friendly, kid- friendly and amazing place for a getaway. I loved the place. It's actually home away from home*. It's the best place to stay in Dharamshala. And the pets, they are so adorable. They are so friendly and loving. Each and every staff member in this home stay are so kind, polite and always available for the service.

If you have a pet this place is heaven for you!

Disgusting and dirty rooms. We booked the private garden cottage so our pet can run around the garden and we get privacy. On both counts, we were lied by Nandini while taking the booking amount from us. The garden does not have a boundary wall and if the pet escapes, then the neighbours complain, there is no privacy, any time various cleaners will enter the premise and knock on the door. No trained staff, the place is run by maids who have no sense of privacy. We were lied that the property has 80 mbps speed.it was a total lie. On top of that the rooms were dirty, the blankets were smelly, there is some sewage smell in the back room of the cottage and the toilet. The rooms are badly maintained, and has mould and fungus on its doors and walls. For 3 days, it was a nightmare for us to breathe in this condition. The bed was so smelly, that we slept on the sofa for 3 days. All that you see in the pictures is a total lie. The property is badly managed and the owner Nandidni does not live there, so has no idea. Some uneducated village maids run this place. I would not even spend a night here for free! Please don't book this if you dont want to ruin your holiday!

Where do I start? Ambiance 5/5, courteous and friendly staff 5/5, super tasty food 5/5, cleanliness 5/5, value for money 5/5, location 5/5 and the best, best, besssstttt thing about this place which actually is going to want you to stay here forever are the pets Loco and Queen Poochie. Loco and I fell in love and he came to pick me for breakfast and drop me back every single day (it might have been for the treats but it was still the best feeling). I haven’t met such cute and super friendly pets till date. This place is a haven for dog lovers, our own dog beanie loved this place so much that she didn’t wanna leave. I see some reviews saying they were scared/uncomfortable of Loco and Poochie, please do not believe that. Both of them are trained, understand all the commands and are extremely loving. They are actually the USP of Nandini Villa. If you are in Dharamshala do stay here for the view, the food, the amazing service and ofcourse the love of Loco and Poochie.
Special Mention for pet aloo, he was also there but mostly minding his own business.

This place is gorgeous. A very warm host, courteous staff and the most adorable pets on Earth - Loco, Poochi and Kalu. Haven't seen a place where pets also welcome you and keep you company. Extremely well groomed and adorable to the T. My son was on cloud nine and so were we. We stayed in the mountain facade glass cabin and it was gorgeous as it gave us a complete view of the Dauladhars and the landscapes around. The entire experience was so fulfilling that we would want to come back here again. Thank you so much, Nandini Ma'am. We couldn't have asked for a better place in Dharamshala. God bless

Wonderful place. Loved the greenery and the view this place has to offer. It is neither too far from the main town, so its located at a very peaceful area unlike from the town’s crowded hotels and the car noise.

Stayed here for only one night, lovely large rooms, good food and especially delicious poori for breakfast (would recommend!). Amazing views and sweet dogs too!

Nandini Villa is a beautiful property located in close distance to many tourist attractions in Dharamshala. I have stayed here twice and it’s been an absolute delight, irrespective of the season the views and vibe are always perfect! Mrs Nandini and her son Himanshu are very welcoming and friendly and always ensure a comfortable stay for all their guests, which is why I’m looking forward to my next trip to Nandini villa! They have two very cute dogs, it’s the perfect place to stay for all, whether you’re travelling solo, with friends or with family.

Location was good and the vibe of the place is A1 however the staff was not courteous delayed services and receptionist at the counter was a bit rude, I love pets but my husband was nearly biten by the 3 dogs they ran behind him who are residing at the property they should be leashed properly to avoid any mishaps. Maintainence of the property is poor, washroom taps and geyser were dripping.

Rooms are not up to the mark. They are big but not maintained. Yes it’s good for doh friendly people but they should keep the dogs inside when people come. Dog might bite can not be tolerated.

Keep dogs inside if you want your customers to explore property.

Me and my friends recently visited dharmshala and wanted to stay at the best location possible with all the possible amenities possible and we found this place. The stay was amazing due to the best service provided by the staff. The view is mesmerizing. I would say that out of all the places i have visited, this was the best trip solely due to Nandini Villa.

Nandini Villa is beautifully decorated. There are lots of various plants inside the property which gives natural calmness to it. Being near to a creek one can sooth in the sound of water. Overall if you are looking for a calming and refreshing experience Nandini Villa is definitely recommended.

Nandini villa is such a beautiful and one of the best homestay in Dharamshala. Food is delicious, pleasant ambience and great hosts. What I love is that the place is pet friendly and their fur babies are precious.

This is a boutique hotel with a spectacular view and very helpful group staff. Some things need to be improved but for what you get (the view & ambiance) it can be ignored.
The best part about the property is that it is a pet friendly place and there are 2 golden retrievers in house- Miss. Poochie & Master. Loco, they are main deal. Its wonderful to have their company all day long in the property & if you have a pet of your own/loved pets this is the place to be. Highly recommend for dog lovers.

Location of the hotel was good and near to the main city however when it comes to hospitality it was pathetic as there was no one around to attend us. And the worst part was the dogs roaming all around the rooms which was like a threat to me and my friends. So you can go on your own risk with lots of potential for a horrible stay.

We stayed here three days from 2-4 may 2022. After reading lots of good reviews we booked this hotel. But i have average experience with this hotel. Good thing is it is decent hotel like a home and greenary in hotel and food was average not so good not so bad. If I talk about things that I didnt liked is their service which they are lacking at many points. Many things they need to improve in service, we got the ordered food all days after 1.5 hr of ordering time which is not good if you have a kid with you. AC in room is chargeable which they told after checkin. Food menu is very limited and some item taste is not upto the mark. Room was not so cleaned and lock was not working. Location point of view it is in residential area around which you will not find any restaurant and the locality itself is not so good. I would suggest to book hotel in macloedganj where weather is also very nice and many options you will get. Overall we had average experience and hotel needs improvement on their service and management.

Its been more than 9 years since I am visiting Dharamshala and staying only at Nandini Villa. The memory nostalgia that I have even after I leave the hills for back home after staying here is at par excellence which undoubtedly gives me a wonderful magnetic pull to go back again. Nandini Thapa & Himanshu Thapa's warm hospitality, the staff's humility & dealing, their soulful home-kinda food including sumptuous Himachali & Nepali Thalis, the Villa's resonating spiritual aura of windy & soul-tranquilising Dhauladhar valley day and night; that small hill-town hustle bustle including the easy road access to the most lovely cafes and restaurants in Dharamshala/Mcleodganj/Triund etc.as well their super affordable and luxurious offers for Camping/Trekking/Paragliding to Naddi, Bhaagsunag and beyond, makes you not only to stay for a few nights but for more time, preferably, for a month or so. Apparently, this is don't know what kind of sweet magic that everytime whenever i have visited Dharamshala for a change from weather and usual life for a particular time, I tend to extend my stay plans by lodging for more than usual at Nandini Villa. Ahh.these are totally Uninterrupted feelings! Nevertheless, Its another 'sweet home place' for me to be in the hills unlike staying at a luxurious hotel with no comfort zone!

We stayed at the villa for 2 nights and the experience was great! The location is a bit in the outskirts but the villa is maintained very well! Has an in-house restaurant and great common areas for socializing. Perfect choice for a laid back travel plan!

It is a lovely, peaceful place with a soothing vibe. The entire property is green with amazing views and multiple hangout areas, it’s beautifully lit at night time as well. Perfect place to stay for all types of ppl, be it work from mountains, singles, couples or families. There’s an in-house kitchen which has amazing food at pocket friendly prices.
Lastly the host Nandini ma’am is very warm and hospitable host who let us stay in her own accommodation when the property was completely sold out. Overall, Totally recommend

This is literally one of my best Stay in Dharamshala. The Villa has a beautiful entrance & a great property. Food is good too. They even have a bonfire area. Rooms are clean & Hot water facilities are available. Washrooms are huge & very clean. They even have an activity area & some gym equipments. Best part is if you love Dogs the there are 2 Cute Dogs️ They won’t leave you this place. View from balcony is magnificent. There is small Water-stream flowing beside it. This place is absolutely worth it. I will highly recommend.

The villa has been truly an integral part of my experience of Himachal. I initially came only for a week, only to stay back for three months. It is an ancestral property with super spacious rooms that are well maintained.for a stay as long, the menu has both very local and homely as well as restaurant style food on offer. The staff are really nice and friendly. The villa is perfect for a workcation in the mountains with high speed internet. The location is also great- it’s away from the hustle bustle of the busy markets, nestled around the majestic Dauladhar ranges with a view of the ice peaks of the mountain, and also is a short ride away from the famous Mcloed, Dharamkot areas.

The owners are the heart of the property. Nandiniji, Himanshu and Poochie (their golden retriever) are the best hosts you’ll come across!

Omg, I'm glad to have chosen this hotel for my family trip! It's a family owned place, picturesque location in Dharamshala. Not exactly easy to locate, so you may have to ask around quite a bit. Rooms are cosy and spacious, and really pretty. Food served in cafeteria is reasonably priced and quite tasty. Other activities like Jenga, ludo, carrom, Uno, books and magazines etc available. Smoking area separately. I don't think liquor is allowed. But there are two Golden retrievers there, very beautiful and friendly! Ask the reception for a local cab and guide to the important spots around dharamshala and Mcleodganj.

This cozy little place is tucked into a a little farm town is a nice way to either end or start your trip in India. The owner is very nice and even went out to buy bottled water for me. He offers rides to the airport which is very close. Rooms are clean and have hotwater and wifi. Breakfast is amazing! Definitely recommend!

We stayed at Nandini Homestay for 3 nights. It's really a wonderful place located near the tributary passing nearby. You can see view of the hills from your Balcony or when at restaurant.
Services was excellent and food served was delicious.
The place is slightly away from the city centre, away from hustle-bustle of the city but close enough to drive there in 10 minutes.

I book this hotel under OYO before 3 month ago and i also confirned before 1 week with Hotel and OYO both and they told me yout booking is 100% confirm. When i go hotel they denied for checkin we are not accept oyo booking. They charged me high price for direct checking. So we cancel in oyo and paid again high price before we family are tired. After this they show their real face charged everything they give us. My little boy suffering from cold so i need some cumble for him but manager denied it they also dont given me shampoo without argument. First they told we serve unlimited breakfast and then told extra charges applied. Staff is very rude and cruel. I not recommended this hotel to even my enemy. In entire hotel we only one family. Not hot water comes from geyser. In every small thing they want to looting the person. They told us we dont accept OYO booking but in OYO app booking is still showing this hotel. So if possible i will file cheating case against this Fraud hotel.

The staff is very helpful. I was ill when I reached here, so they helped me get to the hospital and back. The food is amazing as well but order well in advance. Avinash at the reception is very helpful.

This homestay will be one of the memorable moment on your trip to dharamshaala. The place is having very tranquil ambiance and you will actually like waking up in the morning here getting a 360 degree view at the roof.

This is a good place to stay. The prices are a bit on the higher side. You should check at different websites before booking as the rates vary a lot. One important tip, if you decide to come here at night beware of the dogs around this area. The staff is well trained and we'll behaved. And yes, they have a good collection of books.

The best home stay! Nandini is so accommodating, we ate breakfast lunch and dinner here all amazing home cooked meals. It was so easy to get to McvLeod Ganj, just a quick taxi. It was a really relaxing part of our trip, with bone fire and barbeque. Facilities are amazing, great sized rooms, beautiful terraces and gardens. Highly recommend!

Although, it not like a hotel, I enjoyed my stay there very much. The rooms were cozy, view in my room was very good. The food is delicious, although a little on the costly side. But the room prices I found very genuine.

2. Minor problem in rooms like Tata Sky inactive, some weird odor in bathroom, drainage problem etc. But these problem can happen in any hotel.
3.2-3 km from the main Dharmshala market.
4. No near ATM.
5. Choices in buffet were very limited.

We went there in May first week with my family wife along with our 2 little daughters), sister-in-law, brother-in-law and common family friend. We reach there by 9: 30 and told by the staff about the closure timings of kitchen for breakfast. We order quickly for food and then waited for an hour to get our rooms ready. The staff clearly inform us about our package details and the additional charges (about room upgrades). The food was delicious and up-to the mark and at par with hotel food. Location was absolutely fine with the view of snow capped Dhauladhar mountains on one side, small water flowing downside and valley view on the right. One can also see the famous cricket stadium from their roof top. Good plantation keeps your mood fresh and the lightening in the night is simply good. Staff is helpful and courteous always. We stayed there for 3 nights and it was awesome experience. We asked for bonfire additionally (500 per bonfire exp per night) on two nights and enjoyed our meal/drinks and music. A time well spent there with family. A must visit place.

It was very nice to stay there. It felt like a second home. One should visit it for a week at less.

The flower decorations is mesmerizing. Surely everyone will like this. The dining place is so great that one can spent 2-3 hours sitting there. The amenities are good. Room is good. Taste of food is great. One request to them if they can reduce the price of breakfast item. Absolutely a great stay.
