Captain's Nest

When I decided to spend a week at Captain's Nest, friends who had been to Kasauli advised me against anything more than a day or two. The week my wife and I, both senior citizens, spent at Captain's Nest was simply amazing and unforgettable. The rooms are huge and immensely comfortable. The attention that Samiksha and Dhiraj, the husband-wife duo who are caretakers, bestowed on us was exemplary. The food that they served was very tasty and the cuisine had very wide variety.

It was an absolute wholesome trip for Our family. As the house is pet friendly, We took our little puppy with us as well, and he had a complete blast!
The caretakers, Dheeraj and Sameeksha brought great entertainment and delicious food to the table, making our trip even better. Will definitely visit again!

Captain's Best, nestled in the hills, is a lovely, cosy and warm place for a perfect break with family or friends. My group enjoyed the stay. The bedrooms are large, each floor has a lounge which can easily accommodate more than 10 people. The sit out with an uninterrupted view of the hills, the clouds rolling down and enveloping you makes for an awesome experience. The whole place is furnished well and tastefully decorated. The icing on the cake are the courteous, gentle and always smiling Dheeraj and Sameeksha who took good care of us with their delicious food served piping hot. And, don't forget to ask Dheeraj to sing for you. You will be blown out of your minds

The place is more beautiful than the pictures. Big and spacious rooms with big windows and balconies, soothing interiors & comfortable furniture.

The staff here is great, well-mannered and hospitable. They keep the house clean and organised.
Dheeraj & Samiksha cook really delicious food as per demand and are very accommodating for special requests in food flavours.
Place is approx 10km from main Kasauli at a quiet place away from traffic and tourist crowd so perfect for relaxation.

Only improvement I would suggest is to have power backup as occasional powercut can be slightly troubling especially during evening and in case you need constant wifi

I visited captain, s nest last week with my family and my visit was a memorable one. Very neat and clean place. Rooms are spacious and view from balcony is great one with clouds coming around you it feels awesome. There is a separate room for driver stay and pets are also allowed. Staff is very obedient and cooks delicious recipies. Overall must visit place for a relaxing holiday around the lovely pine trees of Kasauli

Nicely maintained property with supportive staff but there is no power back up. We had a horrible night when there was no electricity for more than 8 hours.

Mr Khosla is a gentleman with whom you can deal expecting thorough professionalism. The house and property are just superb! You can see touches of a family here and the rooms are massive. The housekeepers are well intentioned and help out a lot, but can do with a little more pro-active training around service levels. We had a very comfortable stay. AC's were definitely needed in late april when we went. There is place for a driver to stay. Home meals are a total blessing with Dheeraj the cook being quite adept. Shakuntala the housekeeper is a warm innocent soul who is always smiling. Our dog was allowed and he had a ball too. The view from the balcony is good (not epic) but the house feels very nice with a huge balcony. We do hope to come here again.

Its a great place to enjoy the nature and fresh environment near Kasauli. Amazing place to spend quality time with your friends and family near Chandigarh. Rooms are quite spacious, hospitality service is the best and the food served is delicious Highly recommended to all. Loved the ambiance! Must say.

We stayed at this homestay for 3 nights and every thing about this place was amazing. The best part about the place was its location. It's away from the hustle and bustle of a commercial city, yet not so far that you cant think of travelling to the main city. Situated in the lap of nature, this is a perfect getaway. The rooms are very spacious and the hospitality of the host was just too good. Made some good memories about the place. Highly recomended.

Beautiful location.the stay was so comfortable just like home with spacious rooms in the midst of mesmerizing Greenery. Delicious home cooked food, kids really enjoyed and hospitality was amazing. Will soom visit again.

We had a wonderful experience. Pictures don’t do justice to the place. The home is made in a quiet surrounding with lovely views. And not very far away from the main kasauli market. The place is spacious with comfortable sitting available on all floors including rooftop. The staff is very polite and cook lovely food. The owner too was very pro active by asking about daily feedback. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are also clean.

I stayed here for 2 nights with family and it was amazing stay. Home made tasty food. Property is really nice and clean. Peaceful place.

The rooms were neat and clean. I loved the size of the rooms and the open area on first floor where we enjoyed our evenings. Very courteous and friendly caretakers. I would love to go there again.

Stayed at the property with 2 more couples. We found the property very comfortable.large rooms.clean and fresh linen.beautiful views.caretakers are very polite and make excellent food. Will revisit soon.

We were 8 of the family and had enjoyed a lot for a 3 night stay. A nice and comfortable place with great service. Food was good with variety every day. I would like to stay again.

Staying at Captain's Nest was great, very comfortable home stay! The villa is clean, ideally located giving a valley view. The host took good care of delicious food and clean and comfortable stay

Stayed with my wife for 5 nights from 13th May to 18th May 2021. It was an awesome experience for some very specific reasons:
1. The place is away from the madding crowd
2. The cook and his wife made some excellent meals for us, very hospitable and well trained.
3. The host took special care of us asking us each day about our comfort and needs as most markets were shut because of the lock down
4. The room we stayed in was almost 25ft by 16ft with good bed linen and duvet. The feeling of staying in this house is that of being in your own home, not a commercialised hotel.
Would recommend to all my friends and family.

Overall ambience is very cozy, homelike without being overbearing!
