Temple is under construction. There is going to be completed make over, those of us who have visited few years back are up for surprise.better parking facitlies. Will be available.

We visited this place on the way from Palampur, Kangra. It is situated at Palampur Dharmashala Road, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. It is considered as one of the holy shaktipeeths in the world. Huge parking space is available to park your bike or car. Restroom are available which is very neat and clean. Covid protocols are strictly being followed in the temple premises. Beautiful and calm place to get the inner peace and temple surrounded by dhauladhar hills with renovated by Dogra Regiment of Indian army & moving waterfall on the back side of temple. This is a holy place & a must visit temple in the region. I recently visited this temple and I must say that it was a truly wonderful experience. The infrastructure of the temple is very well-maintained and clean, which is quite impressive. Another great feature of the temple is the river that flows through the campus, which adds to the overall beauty of the location. The sound of the flowing river is peaceful. This place is crowded but there is hardly any waiting time. The tranquilly of the river's movement is evident. Parking spaces are plentiful, and restrooms and a cooler are provided. Outside the temple, there are local stores. It is possible to take a plunge in the icy river, but caution is advised due to the strong current. A maximum of one hour is needed to fully explore this area. The temple is frequently crowded, but because of effective queue management, waiting times are short. Since it was recently refurbished, new gardens as well as restrooms and ample of parking were constructed right next to the temple.

Jai mata di. The temple is under renovation. Soon we will experience a new ambience here. A cremation site is attached adjacent to the wall of Nandikeshwar Temple (need to shifted to somewhere else).

Beautiful temple at present. But restructuring and expansion was going on. A garden, A river on the backside, a pond.the temple has everything. Definitely recommended. There is a crematorium just beside Shiva Temple also. So visit accordingly.

This Shaktipeeth is situated near Palampur/Kangra, Himachal. One of the most visited & worshipped Shaktipeeth. However, construction/repair work is going on making a bit of chaotic environment. Ban-Ganga is flowing nearby making a great surrounding.

Beautiful place I must say. The flowing water gives you the Mysterious happiness. And the spiritual environment soothes the soul. U will feel relieved by visiting this sacred place.

Calm and soothing temple. Good and cheap hotels, Dharamshalas nearby to stay. Better to book online for hotels. Don't expect good food though.

Chamunda Devi Temple near Padarth village 15 km away from Dharmshala Himachal Pradesh India. Temple dedicated to Durga or Chamunda & 700 years old big temple complex with a large pond where devotees take dip and bath.

Sacred place. It's the temple for Sh. Chamunda Mata (Shaktipeeth) and is having high rush in Navratra's.
A fresh water stream is flowing near the temple where if interested you can take a dip.
You don't have to climb many stairs as it is near to highway and also you don't have to walk much.

It was in peak monsoons when I decided to visit Baijnath temple in Himachal Pradesh. After visit the Baijnath temple I decided to go Chamunda devi temple at Chamunda. It was sunday and there were so much people in the temple. After half an hour spending in que I got the chance to get the blessings from Chamunda devi. The temple was clean with a beautiful view of mighty Dhauladhar mountain range.

Good place, but after two years it will be well built, also there would be a ropeway for the old mandir which reduce 14 km trek / walk. Will be a great and must visit place

It is a beautiful place in himachal pradesh. It is one of the main attraction if you are visiting HP. It has a river beside. It is a hindu goddess temple called chamunda devi.

Hinduism, Chamunda or Camunda is the Goddess of the Goddess. There is a combination of name Chanda and Munda, two demons of Goddess.
Ma Chamunda's famous temple is situated in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is on the river Bannar, about 10 km west of Palampur. About 400 years ago, the King and Brahmin priest prayed to allow the Goddess to move easily. Goddess appeared to the priest in her dream. She instructed him to dig at a certain place and found an ancient idol and should install it in the temple and worship it as its form.

The king sent men to bring the idol. Although they were able to detect it but they were not able to pick it up. Once again the priest appeared in the dream. She explained that men could not take holy relics because they considered him a common stone. Wake up in the morning, put on fresh clothes and go with them with respect. He did what he said and found that the large group of people could easily pick up what they can not do. He told people that he is the power of goddess that brought the idol to the temple.

The temple now shows the views of Goddess Mahatma, Ramayana and Mahabharata. The image of the Goddess is lying on both Hanuman and Bhairon.
