A blissful happy place oozing out positivity and dwelling in all its natural-ness - I loved my time spent there.
Each one of you struggling with your chaos inside - head out to Tapovan. Sit. Meditate. Forget everything and everyone around you. Switch off, please! And you will find the ultimate connection.
We were lucky to be there at the tike of evening Aarti and participated, sang songs of glory to the praise of lord.
This is a very nice place to meditate. The place is located in an isolated mountainous terrain, making it very quiet and peaceful. The place is sort of a tourist attraction as well and the only reason I rated it one star less than five is that photography is not allowed in the area. The place is so good for photography (though it’s not allowed) and the view of the mountains, it’s just incredible. Washroom facility is available but it isn’t any good quality for tourists.
Chinmaya Tapovan is a beautiful destination for hiking enthusiasts, located in the lap of the Himalayas. The lush green forests and serene environment make it a perfect spot for a peaceful and rejuvenating hiking experience. The stunning vistas and fresh mountain air make every step worth it, and the sense of accomplishment at the end of the hike is truly gratifying.
Chinmaya Tapovan Temple is on the way to Dharamshala. Must visit Place. Shiv Ling and Hanuman Ji Murti are very stunning and calming. Valley view is a eye stopper.
A place for which words cannot do justice as they will always fall short to make us comprehend the divinity this sacred abode of Gurudev Chinmayananda Ji holds. One has to come here to experience it in its totality and gets totally immersed in this serene land of Siddha Purushas.
Photography isn't allowed inside premises. So cud not show the exact view but believe me, it's very calm & soothing to d eyes & soul. Evening Aarti starts by 6 pm, so better reach there half an hour prior.
This place is *HEAVEN. * A very close to *Dharamshala* and just a small town but indeed beautiful. If you're coming from *Dharamshala* then you need to locate *Sidhbari Clock Tower* (which is in right if you're coming from Dharamshala side) and if you coming from *Chamunda Devi* then it will be in the left side. One can take a bus from *Chamunda Devi* or *Dharamshala* to *Sidhbari* (Fare is 20rs as of now in April 2022). Bus will leave you at *Sidhbari* or you can tell conductor to leave you at *Sidhbari* clock tower. Tapovan is just 1 km from clock tower (it is down side the road so dont hesitate to walk down on your feet).
Few meters before tapovan ashram, you will see *Dharamshala Vidhan Sabha. * Next to the *Vidhan Sabha, * there's is small gate to go to the *Ram Temple* but i suggest you to enter from the main gate which is just right in next junction (also *Tapovan Bus Stop*). A small _Tea Stall_ is there in the right (i had tea and biscuits there). A lil chat with uncle was really memorable. He love to help tourists without any cost. He and his son running that small tea stall and if you get time then do try their _Pakodas. _ You will love it.
The _Tea Stall_ is in the right side and if you take left then there's main gate of *Chinmayanand Tapovan Ashram. * Enter inside and dont go towards *Hanuman Statue* (it is restricted). Before Statue, there's a gate in left to enter inside. First visit the *Ram Temple, Shiv Temple* is also there outside the *Ram Temple. * Then go towards *Hanuman Statue, * in the left you will see the *Samadhi of Guri Ji. *
I have reached there around 7 am in the morning. Buses are frequent at *Tapovan Bus Stand* in every hour. The same route goes to *Kangra. * if you want to come back to *Dharamshala, * wait for bus at _Tea Stall. _ Or if you want go back to *Chamunda* then take a same bus and hop off at *Sidhbari Bus Stop. * From *Sidhbari* you can go to *Chamunda Devi. *
Bonus: *Gyuto Monastery* is also near to *Sidhbari Clock Tower* if you wants to see and other *Norbulingka Monastery and Institute* is also there in other direction (around 1.4 km).
Hari om Chinmaya tapovana temple Very beautiful peaceful atmosphere in this aasarm. Aashram front of dhuandhar mountain, beautiful greenery also. I loved this amazing and wonderful place I never miss?
Ashram located here is the major tourist attraction here. In the ashram campus, statue of Lord Hanuman can be seen along with Shivling on top of a building. The mountain range view from the ashram is amazing.
Lord Rama temple also exists at a walking distance from the ashram. If someone requires peace and calmness, this can be the place to go. One time visit will be enough to explore the area.
The ashram is in Sidhbari which simply translated means 'place of the perfect/realised ones'. The land of yogi and siddhas starting from Kapil Muni to Swami Shri Chinmayananda Saraswati.
Ashram has samadhi sthal of Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati as well as an enormous and very friendly looking murti of Pavanputra Hanuman which is a sight to behold for anyone.
There's a Ram Mandir inside the premises where the students of the ashram chant Vedic mantras and conduct aarti every evening at 6-630pm. One should attend that if visiting the place.
People of the ashram are friendly and the main activities involve study of vedantic scriptures and various pujas held on religious occasions.
Ashram has plenty of accommodation for guests. There's an in-house kitchen that provides food for guests.
There's plenty of greenery, in and around the ashram.
Place is hardly two kilometres from Sidhbari clocktower and main road.
Nearby places include an old temple of another siddha which houses a samadhi of another siddha and has a serene enviornment.
When on pilgrimage to the MahaSamadhi of my Gurudev in 2012. Hari Om. Jai Jai Gurudev, HH Swami Chinmayananda. A Blessing to be again at His Feet. Namaste.
Chinmaya tapovan is one of best place in Dharamshala region with so much of positivity that you feel so happy after visiting this place Beautiful temple area well maintained garden make place more mesmerising Many training programs are being organised by trust and are doing alot for society
A Hindu religious center-Ashram of Chinmaya mission in a scenic location in Dharamshala having a beautiful Ram temple, impressive Hanuman/Shiva lingam images, meditation center/vedic school and final resting place/samadhi of founder of the mission Swami Chinmaya Nanda
Such a beautiful, Serene and tranquil place, with the Majesty of the Dauladhar range as the backdrop. A place for peace, contemplation and kindness, that which houses Swami Chinmayananda's samadhi.
Spacious place, well maintained, garden is refreshing to look, temples are well attended and most importantly, polite and informative Acharya's. I happened to visit through "rest of Himachal" tour with Anubhav travels with entire family, and this is my review based on the limited experience we had here.
The Chinmay Tapovan is a beautiful, peaceful and spiritual Ashram Complex with superb natures views of snow clad peaks. It is about 10 kms from Dharamsala on the banks of the rivulet Bindusaras. Itwas established by the late Swami Chinmayananda who was a noted exponent of the Bhagwat Gita, They conduct several residential courses for learning Gita he Nine meter high image of Lord Hanuman, a magnificent Rama Temple, a meditation hall, a school, and a health and recreation centre are high lights of the place. There is a samadhi built of Swami Chinmayananda. Very peaceful experience visiting the ashram one must visit the ashram.
This ashram is located in a serene place tucked away in the hills. The peace and quietitude that can be experienced here is too good. This ashram was established by Pujya Swami Chinmayananda ji in 1977. Now, in this ashram, there is Swamiji's samadhi, his kutiya where he used to stay whenever he visited this place, a giant statue of Hanuman ji and a Ram Mandir.
A very spectacular location with the snow clad mountains behind.beautiful environment.kind and helpful Purohit who invited us to d evening Pooja which was bliss
This is area where you will definitely get mental peace.wonderful location situated in Tapovan, approx 7,8 km from Dharamshala. Near to Vidhan sabha of Himachal Pradesh where winter session goes on. You can come here to see and enjoy beauty or can come for meditation as it is meditation center. There is temple of lord Rama.
Hari Om. Chinmaya Tapovan is an ashram of Chinmaya Mission. It is very calm, peaceful and spiritual place full of good vibes. You can stay here and study courses of spiritual topics offered by Chinmaya Mission. And "Bal Vihar" organised on every Sunday morning is a good session for all around growth of your kids.
The samadhi sthaan of a spiritual giant Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Cauldron of Spirituality, Scenic Nature and Adventure. Don't forget to add to your bucket list.
In the heart of the city Dharmshala, just behind Vidhan Sabha, Chinmaya Tapovan is nestled in the spectacular Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas. It is, one of the main retreats of the Chinmaya Mission. It is important as a center of the Sandeepany Vedanta course, meditation camps, vedic teachings and the Chinmaya Rural Primary Health and Training Center. This ashram is special as this is also Swami Chinmayananda's last resting-place, who attained 'Mahasamadhi' in August 1993. It has 9feet tall Hanuman Idol and Ram Mandir, place for must visit to know that currently this Himalayan Ashram in Dharamsala is famous for the Vedic Teachings of this great saint!
