Churdhar Temple is like a magical journey in the mountains. The trek is tough, but when you reach the top, it's like entering a peaceful world. The temple is simple, but it feels special. The views are stunning, and the whole experience is both challenging and spiritual. If you love nature and a bit of adventure, Churdhar is worth it!

It was one of the best place i have ever been to.the trek is long about 20 kilometres and takes all day to climb all the way up, but it's worth it.the statue of lord Shiva at the peak is great.it's a totem for the local Himachali people.you can stay at the top. The rates are very cheap and you will get washed blankets and all.you can have your meal in the langar. Above all that the views are great from the top.

The trek start from Nohradhar and goes upto 20-22 kms to reach the statue and the Temple.
It is usually closed during winters due to heavy snowfall. The routes opens up after the fall is over.
It is a moderate level trek to reach a magnificent view where you find the Lord Shiva at the height peak.
The trek contains many steep climbs.
You will find some temporary shops at two points during your trek. There is no need to carry too much of load as you will get all the necessary items in these shops. The temple provides a shelter and blankets to sleep and 24*7 Bhandara is serving the devotees continuously.
I recommend everyone to experience this holistic trek of lord shiva. It has some beautiful sites and some magnificent views with the utmost fresh air of Shivalik ranges.

Churdhar is located at the top of Shimla. This is highest peak of Shimla. Which is near to sirmour. A big statue of Bhagwan shiva is at the top of the peak. There is a temple of shiva which named as shirgul maharaj or chudeshwar Mahadev. It will remain covered with snow six months in a particular year. People love to visit here from all over north India, because the way to churadhar valley is not so difficult. Three ways to come churdhar,
1. The first way leading from pulbahal
Which is the most choosen way by the trackers. Shimla to theog to balag then to pulabahal.
2. It led from sraha chaupal.
3. It led from nauhradhar sirmour, this is longest but easiest way to reach churdhar.
This place is very cold during the whole year.
So if you are planning to visit churdhar have weather proof dress or may be warm clothes.

Till now, my best ever trek to mountains.

Now lets talk about this beautiful trek.
Choordhar is located in Sirmour dist in Himachal Pradesh which is highest peak in outer Himalayas.

Nohradhar station is the best and easy starting point to start your trek. You can park your CAR and BIKE here and start your trek.
Which is 22km long trek.

Best time to visit is April - November (Except Mansoon season) and when snow just happen there.

If your fitness level is good. You can trek it. Its difficult to those who are doing this for the 1st time.

For beginners I'll recommend to add one extra day.
Start your trek early morning by 7-8AM.
Dont loose hope. Go easily, keep enjoying the beauty of this trek.
If you tired after half of it then you can stay mid of this trek in shops. Sleeping eating arrangment are there. Price is very geniun.

In this 23 km long trek. There are only 2 or 3 points (shops) where u can have refreshments.

Most Important: -
Please carry water bottle with yourself. Try to avoid extra clothing. You are going to trek not for showoff.

One Jacket (For Night), one normal day wear, Only one pair of hiking shoes, cap,
sunglasses, mosturiser, energy bar or eatable stuff.

Churdhar

Churdhar is a beautiful peak with an elevation of more than 11,000 ft and is an ideal destination for trekkers and campers. Offering its visitors with the panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains and scenic landscapes, this sky-touching peak lies in the Shivalik Range of the Himalayas.

As per local legends, it is believed to be the place where Lord Hanuman found the divine medicine for the unconscious Lord Lakshman. Therefore, it is also considered as a sacred site amongst several Hindu devotees. The region is also rich in wildlife, and hence you can spot several beautiful species of plants, animals and birds here

Nice place to hang around, Highest peak of South Himachal. Awesome experience to visit. It's just 6 kms track. 4 km is normal and only 2 km track is difficult. After 4 kms you can have tea and snacks @ gujjaro ka dera and from there on 2 kms of track left upto the temple which is somewhat difficult. And if you want to visit the statue of Lord Shiva then you have to track 1/2 km more to travel but I'll suggest that if you are going on that visit then you should visit Shiva's statue at the top of the peak. The view from the peak is mesmerising. It's just half an hour more journey from the temple. You can stay overnight at the temple as there is a lodging arrangement near the temple and langar is provided also. Will surely visit Again.
