Worst place we ever visited. The host was rude. It was a homestay; however, the kitchen was empty; there were no utensils or gas. Essentials were provided after several reminders. Food was not at all worth it. There was no hot water supply early morning or in day. After an amazing trip from manali, our shimla visit for first time was ruined due the stay. Even after informing that we will bd checkin out early morning, there was no one to help us out. Rating the stay 1 star as I don't have an option for zero star.

Worst place ever, gave no utensils, microwave and even the geyser was not working properly in the room and gave another room, the food had no taste and couldn't even cook maggie

The location is actually quite far from Mall road and it's nothing like the pictures. The elevation is problematic. The people charged me I'm advance for the room and have refused to pay me back because they are apparently not responsibile for it. Please don't go there to get yourself harassed. The staff is the absolute worst.

It was a wonderful and comfortable stay.value for money.located at the good place.staff is very helpful.

We stayed in holiday in homestay for 2 days and 2 nights. It was the most awesome experience. The view was stunning and Aanchal (receptionist) was very helpful in terms of room service and food. Service was very fast and the food was like as if you are eating in home. Overall property is very good and clean.

I would have given 3star, but giving extra star because of the manager and the homestay staff. Everybody was very helpful. I stayed their with my family, which includes infant. The stairs are really dangerous. The tv and internet won't work. But the apartment was really beautiful but the location is really hard to find. Looking forword to revisit the location once again, hoping for a change

Hospitality was good. Management and all staff were very professional cooperative and attentive. Housekeeping is very good.
Rooms were very neat and clean. Mr. Manoj very punctual in services, he managed the food service and other requirements during our stay very nicely. Would like to visit again.

What they promise during the booking is like a dream homestay, but when you reach there you start regretting, it's located at the dead-end of the town.very difficult to locate, poorly managed property, they don't care for your comfort, no cheff, no house keeping, no blower, dirty utencils, but best part is the people are nice.

Disappointed with the rooms, hygiene and also the attitude of the manager, rude. Pillows and sheets were not even washed properly. Breakfast was served in disposable packing as if we were staying in a PG accommodation. Wifi wasn't working. To add to all this rooms were full of smell. Sorry to say don't spoil the name of Holiday Inn

Good locality, good Apartment ambience.
But I think they have an excellent staff, very polite, helpful and genuinely warm.
Also I would like to mention that their manager and support staff are extremely hospitable.
During the breakfasts, we were served food as per our specifications and I appreciate their warmth in serving food.overall a wonderful experience. Thank you

We had a wonderful experience at the Holiday in Homestay Shimla. Every staff member we encountered, from the valet to the check-in to the cleaning staff were delights and eager to help. This is the perfect homestay for a weekend in Shimla

Nice location, amenities and cleanliness. Ideal for young people. Not ideal for Senior citizens, staff is very friendly in general. Service they provides excellent food, Excellent houkeeping service they do a great job. Specifically thanks to all. It was comfortable stay with you guys.

I would have given this property 1 star. The extra star is for their hardworking and humble staff.
Be ready to climb 80-90 stairs if you plan with multiple families.
I had come from canada to spend some quality time with my family. Their were 7-8 families which included infants, kids and elderly. This was explained to the person we booked with. He gave me 7 rooms which were on 2 different floors. He said their will be 15-20 stairs but the truth is their were 80-90 stairs to reach the above floor. It was a nightmare carrying babies, kids to that floor.
The stairs were dangerous, no railing. Elevator was only till main level. He also denied sending video of stairs before booking and ensures us it is an easy climb of 15 stairs.
Half of the people could not climb up and it was a nightmare!
I will never recommend this to anybody. TVs were not working. Internet very poor connectivity.
They had repairs going on all over the area with so much dust everywhere. No towels in the room!
Food was good. Staff was good. Room Service was good.
Highly disappointing!

Home stay was comfortable and cosy.
Good options available depending on no.of people.
Secluded place, no shops or restaurant nearby.
Good food and service.

We had to extend our stay here Manoj kumar and kaka (i forgot the name) were exceptional.i felt as if i was at home.people should definitely visit this home stay for a homely stay experience.

Excellent stay with best food, hospitality and services. The best place for a family and friends trip. 2,3,4 bhk flats available with top notch facilities.

Great home stay
The hotel facilities are good and value for money. We got free upgrade. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. Staff are very friendly. Clean and tidy rooms and surroundings, nice ambience, Great location. Room view is excellent. Sure this is a recommended hotel. I AM very happy with the services of Mr. Manoj kashyup.he has a very good nature n facilities for his staff.my best experience happens only because of him.

It was good experience staying here, but here manager named BHUPAL is very misbehaving factor, non cooperative, except him everyone was totaly good, specially the guy named *MANOJ KASHYAP*, he served us very well, his behaviour, his service, everything was superb.i wants to give manoj 10/10 for the service he provides to customers, I will surely like to visit this place again. (but do something for this guy bhupal, vo sirf apne customer loose kar rhe hai iss behaviour se)

Pathetic services, even after paying in advance, room wasn’t cleaned or prepared to receive guests. Food quality is good but don’t expect professional services, you have to ask for everything and this is from the guy who served us breakfast this morning, so mean and unprofessional behaviour. Breakfast menu is fixed, you don’t have any choice, whatever they decide they will serve, no matter you want to eat it or not, anything else is chargeable. Not recommended…

Just "homestay" for the namesake. Nthi g lije that u will get. Empty kitchen no kettle no gas/induction nthng. Worst stairs they have.risking ur life u hv to get through stairs to reach ur room. Poorest service. Not even tea sachet they provide.hefty charges.zero return.poorest. Blunder we did by booking it. On 8th Jan 2022.

The room of the hotel are amazing. The food quality was also great. The manager Ds. Verma is a great person with positive attitude.

The property is a great fit for people looking to chill in Shimla. The property is located a little out of the way from the main attraction of Shimla but provides all the facilities.
Mr Manoj and Mr Bhagat were a great help providing us with anything and everything throughout the day.

We stayed in a 4 bhk place (Clubhouse) and it was a very warm and comfortable stay for 3 nights. Great food, great hospitality. The best location and services specially if going with family or friends.

Worst hotel worst experience. Pathetic experience even before visiting them. They canceled the booking even though advance was paid to them well in time. Unprofessional staff on one day confirmed the booking and on the very next day canceled it giving silly excuses. They ruined our plans and were not willing to provide any alternatives for their own fault. Book at your own risk as they can ditch you anytime with nowhere left to go. Wish I could give negative stars. Would not recommend this property if you are going to Shimla.

It was an Excellent stay for 5 Days. Good staff, good ambience, nice view in the middle of the nature. And above all, Outstanding food quality. Indeed recommendable.

This property doesn't provide you with anything mentioned. Staff are pathetic, services are too bad and food doesn't tastes good.
You'll have to wait for and hour for anything you ordered and most importantly there is no specific person who would take the responsibility for the services.
Don't waste your money in choosing this property. You would regret it later. There is much to write about but I really don't have words to describe this mess.

The foood was delicious, it was the best thing here. The staff is great especially the hospitality offered by Manoj kumar was beyond words. Good for families or group of people, as you get access to the whole apartment.

Helpful staff, good service. Our room was accessible only by multiple flight of stairs after taking the lift, which was fine for us but may not be okay with everyone. Just confirm that your room has direct access via lift.

It was wonderful with good service good food. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Navneet has good HR abilities. May some more staff can be added for maintenance of rooms

Don't go for good reviews. This place is worst for living.we made a huge mistake to book this place. I am writing pros and cons in detail to help others.
Pros - only pros of this place is nice interior and view from the balcony. Which you can find in other places too in shimla.

Cons - The list is too long but worth reading.
1. First they told us while booking that our rooms will be on 2nd floor but they cheated us by giving rooms on 5th floor which was on 2nd block and lift was not there so we had to climb 50-60 stairs with our elderly people and kids. Place is not safe for kids also.
2. No cleaning was done when we checked in. Geyser in some of rooms were not working till our whole stay.
3. Staff is not ready to serve the guests or they just don't want to. They charged us 1500 rupees for barbeque but didn't organized well. We did suffer alot to make them understand about requirements. They don't use their minds at all.
4. Beddings and sheets were so dirty which we asked them to change for several times.
5.staff takes more than 1-2 hour for everything we ask and sometimes they forget bringing half of things like crockery, cups and food items.
6. Next morning we asked to staff for glass to drink water around 7 am which we didn't get till 1pm. For every thing we asked they took too much time. They served breakfast without plates and cutlery. If you ask them to call manager, he will never show up.
7.when we got fed up with their pathetic service, we called the owner Sandy who claims that he lives in newzealand asked us directly to check out in 20 min and insulting us by saying that we indians are the actual problem but he don't have any problems with indians while asking for money or while running business in India.

If you want to chill in the hills then this is the place to be in. Family or friends can share the appartments with common lobby and different rooms with balcony to enjoy the scenic view of the mountains. This property is 2km away from city's hustle and bustle. One can come here with their own groceries and utensils as they provide inbuilt kitchen with cooktops and refrigerator. One can have a home away from home experience.
The property Manager Mr. Navneet is very friendly and helpful. He made our stay comfortable and remembering.
