The best place ever. The room was spacious and clean. The vintage aesthetics were awesome. Rooms have historic feel with antique hard wood floors. The best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Great location.

We stayed at Clifton House for a few days. It's the perfect amalgamation of the prompt services of a hotel and the comfort of a home. The view is amazing and the food is delectable. It is located at a comfortable distance from Soghi Town and Shimla. The rooms are a delight. The library and recreation room are a cherry on top.

Enjoyed every minute of stay at Clifton House. Very warm hospitality, great food, great staff. Highly recommended

One of the best homestay I have come across. The property is well managed amidst the lap of Shoghi. Food and hospitality was awesome and trust me you will feel like it's your second home once you visit.

I was highly impressed by the interiors and the grandeur of the place. But what made our stay special was the owner's passion for making specialty dishes for us. In a time when even five-star hotels fail to provide good service, I was astounded by the efforts the staff made to make our stay comfortable. A view of the scenic hills right from the room window, occasional sighting of the toy train and the phenomenal food made our stay wonderful and memorable. Hope to visit this place again soon.

Amazing, wonderful and peaceful.
Right from check in to check out. I am amazed to see such a great hospitality. Owner of the property is very humble and down to earth person. If required he himself would not hesitate in providing any support. He is such a great personality that too with supportive and helpful attitude. You will feel like you are visiting your friends/relatives. Apart from this the overall view with lush green valley, toy train visibility from balcony and a peaceful terrace wouldn't let you leave from there. For book lovers they have a big library with a lot of books. Additionally for fitness freak and sports enthusiasts there is a nice place in the property. To sum it up it was an awesome experience visiting this place. I would like to come back and stay here for more days. May Anupam ji keep on following his passion and experience a lot of happiness in his life. Hope to see you again. Thanks a lot!

The service was so good that you can sit back, relax and enjoy the experience. And i can't forget about the hot, fresh coffee in the morning, comfortable cotton bathrobes, free wifi, flat-screen TVs, and even high-end soap dispensers.

Wonderful property with seasonal flowers all around making it all the more pretty. <br/>We stayed in roof cottage that opened to the roof itself. You can have panaromic views of whole of Shimla, chail, kufri etc.from the roof top. Can even see you train passing by from the mountains at the back. Food is hygenic, delightful and delicious. It is exactly like home made food. You will keep craving for more. The quantity of the food is very generous and the quality is also very nice. They provide variety of foods, Chinese, continental, north indian etc. They can even provide specific foods that the guest may be craving at that point of time. And believe me, the food prices are the lowest you could imagine. This place definitely tops the hospitality chart. Every single staff is cheerful and loves to make the stay of the guests the most memorable. The place has positive vibes and is recommended to make your stay memorable. And it is very close to Tara Devi Mandir, which is also a must see.

Awesome place to stay.some key features are below.
1. Privacy, away from city chaos.
2. Songhi train station is near, if you want to enjoy toy train ride. (best option if you want to go mall road (traffic and parking issue is there).
3. Food is awesome. (Homemade)
4. View is awesome.
5. Service staff also polite and never say no to anything (That's what I observed).

I don't think so anything else anyone need for stay on vacation.

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Shimla! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and owner, our names were mentioned on the board and we were upgraded to the Family Suite. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.

This hotel's service and food quality like a 4/5-star hotel or so, and the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the Owner Mr. ANUPAM SIR who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality

Only 13 kilometres away from Shimla. From Shoghi railway station you may opt for toy train to go to shimla which will be a fun travelling. Awesome hospitality and awesome place to stay. A real royal home away from your home to take care of your real needs while traveling. Food is really really awesome and very very supportive staff with fast service.

I with my friends had visited this property in shogi, near Shimla. The property serves you the best of comfort and hospitality. The uptown cottage has such spacious rooms giving you ample space to walk around the arena and a widely spread balcony has the perfect view along with utmost peace. The scenic beauty which surrounds the hotel is out of this world, having petite toy train taking rounds and the long unending roads taking the unexplored routes what a combo! The highlight was the staff. Their courteous and dutiful behaviour just won our hearts. The food was finger licking good and had us go beyond our appetites. The entire stay we had has so much to relish that we had The best time making memories.
Kudos to the entire team and owner of the hotel.
Highly recommended to all the peace lovers and hikers who enjoy the serene affordable and relaxing stay in Shimla /shogi.

We visited Clifton house last week which was our second visit to this place in 6-7 months. It was such a nice experience here which i can write in the following points.
LOCATION:
The location of this place is great. It is just 3-4 km away from national highway connecting shimla.the road is very wide and good. One can reach here very easily.

SURROUNDINGS:
This place is just superb, surrounded by magnificent hills away from rush, hustle and bustle, pollution.the scenic beauty here is just marvellous. Chirping of birds in the morning will make you feel very close to nature. Just above this property, there is railway track for toy train between kalka and shimla. The passing of toy train makes a very beautiful sight. Just 3 km away is Mata tara devi temple from where one can see 360 degree view of shimla hills.

ROOMS:
Rooms at clifton house are very big, nice and clean. There are duplex rooms where a whole family can stay. Each room has a good balcony from which there is a very nice view of the valley. Washrooms are neat and clean.

FOOD:
Food provided here is simply delicious and the staff prepare fresh food according to one's taste and preferences.

STAFF:
Staff at clifton house will make you feel special. They are very polite, supportive and very well trained

FACILITIES:
Apart from stay one can enjoy table tannis, badminton and there are many games which childeren enjoy very much. Also there is a library where there is a good collection of books. They have plans for many more additions soon.

As this was our second visit to this place i cant help mentioning name of the owner Mr Anupam, who is very supportive and willing to help and make the stay of visitors very enjoyble. So i am giving this stay 5 out of 5.i will visit clifton house again and again.
