Nice atmospheric place with a beautiful garden. Were advised to sit inside because of the musquitos so did this.

Staff are very friendly and the owner and her husband were very caring as both of us were not quite fit.

The food was delicious and we definitely recommend eating at Fat Plate!

Ambience was really good. We had quality food there. But the service could have been better. It took a lot of time for them to take the order and bring the order. They didn't even give the bill even after asking them multiple times. That's how it was. They need more people to take care of these things. Also, it's a pet friendly place.

Fat plate is my go to place here in Manali.

Everything here is prepared fresh so it takes a bit long but it’s worth waiting for.

Amazing place for a date

Although the food quality is not the same as it was the last time I was here a few years back, it’s overall value for money makes it one of the best options in Manali

The garden is so beautiful it just calls out to you and you must visit to see the garden.
Instagrammable, yes. Edible, maybe.

We had Spicy Arabiata Pasta which was very sour. Paneer something which was okay-okay. The salad was mostly lettuce.
The French fries were amazing and we actually ordered it twice and filled up.
The vessels weren't clear, even the ones we asked for after the first set was given The glass had something stuck to it.
The food is quite overpriced but can understand since the restaurant is very English and pretty.

A few friends who later ate there told that the Indian food was quite good, not sure.

Food and ambience is good, a bit far from Manali town, nevertheless hardcore foodies could go fo it!

Pretty place, loved the jams they have on the store.
I ordered butter chicken which comes with a paratha, it was pretty basic. There was some guy eating biryani and he really liked it a lot.

I bought a strawberry Jam, it was like 375 INR. There are jams and Pickel which you can try before buying. You should definitely try.

Hidden Gem in Manali.for those looking for good food and ambience. Must try chicken burger.too crispy and chunky.

We have been there for dinner and we really disliked the service. It took them one and half hour to serve our order. When we were asking them the time Or any update on our order they were ignoring us like we are not sitting there and the food was also very expensive and taste was also not that good. We visited one pizza place (Pizza Olive) nearby and the service and the food was too good there.

Fine dine restaurant. Food is really nice. Can try fish here. The best part of fat plate is there jams and pickles, I would recommend plum chtuney and black berry jam, they are must try. Here they sell apricot oil, which is very helpful for dry skin to moisturise rather then any moisturiser in cold temperature

Really tasty food with good ambiance the couple who are running this cafe are truly amazing food is utmost tasty but their personal attention to each and every costomer is their usp.

Atmosphere is amazing. They have a beautiful garden. The food is equally good. Would recommend trying Bacon wrapped chicken breast in plum sauce. It's delicious.

Just like I heard in all those videos…. Food was freakn amazing️️ chef was super talented…. Aunty was super nice…. It was so damn peaceful around there…. All in all it was perfect place to hangout

Edited the ratings after a recent visit with my friends. The service was slow and cold. Food was very average. We had ordered grilled trout, carbonara spaghetti and strawberry ice-cream.

One of the worst cafe I have seen in Manali. They people are very unprofessional and don't even have courtesy to respond our queries neither on call nor on face to face

Lovely place. The place is so nicely decorated and the ambiance is nice. The food was good. The pork ribs are must try. The carbonara was average

Place was so calm and full of greenery. We loved the food whatever we tried there, it's just they prepare it all fresh so it takes a bit time to get your order but it is a must visit place if you are a food lover.
P. S.: Tomato basil soup was so delicious that I can say it was best tomato soup I ever tried.

Admist nature, away from city beautiful homely restaurant. The place was definitely worth the visit as recommended.

Keep your expectations clear when you are visiting the place. It's a cafe and it does what it should that is, it's laid back and chill. You order your food and forget about it. Don't go if you are really hungry, it's not a fast food joint. You will end up getting more frustrated. Food is decent, portions are small. The ambience is peaceful. They do have two dogs who are friendly. They also have a shop where they sell pickles and jams. It's a must visit where you will end up buying something.

It is a nice, quaint little place which is perfect for a quiet, romantic lunch or to just hang out with friends. The food is brilliant. There are a lot of options to try. We had grilled chicken with barbecue sauce and bacon-wrapped chicken steaks. Both were delicious with mushroom and plum sauces adding depth to the meat. If you are visiting though, make sure you try the ice-creams. They really mean it when they say the flavour is mango or toffee or anything really. Also, it is probably the only place I've visited in a long time that had all the beers mentioned on the menu.

The Khao suey wasn’t great. And the apple tart tasted like it was made stovetop. And there was large cinnamon sticks in the tart. Which was an unpleasant surprise. The server was very kind!

The setting is beautiful. Tried bacon wrapped chicken and it was not as good as I'd expected. Shammi kababs were also okay. But, being surrounded by greenery and beautiful flowers can make you forget about their food.

Food is great and service is smooth except for billing. This place gets busy fast so go early! Don't miss the homemade jams.

The decor is beautiful. You will surely be amazed by it.

The food felt so authentic! Starting from shakes to pastas and icecreams. It's a small Italian cafe with beautiful setup.

Amazing cafe with lot of greenery and roses. Great view of the snow capped peaks. Food is nice an he decently priced. Owners make organic pickles chutneys and jams which one can buy for home or gifting purposes.

We went there after getting to know Chef Anubhav after their Soul trail trip with Ronny and Barty.
Loved the ambience, couldn't find many options on their menu but whatever we tried was good. Loved the way they have maintained their garden.

The Ambience is pretty good. Surrounded by lot of flowers. But the taste of the food is not at all great and top of that service is very terrible if you highlight service issue you will get answer its a chill pill place. They know ppl will come and some won't be satisfied which is fine to them.
I have given rating only for Ambience.

Lovely and cozy place ran by Rathi aunty and her husband. Staffs were very good. Rathi Aunty herself greeting the guest, letting the guests to taste her homemade jams, pickles etc was wonderful. It’s a pet friendly place and their puppy LJ (Laddoo Junior) welcomes you will all his love. Poster in mens waaroon is witty. Overall it’s a great experience and MUST visit when you’re in Manali.

We reached this restaurant after seeing great reviews about, but the gate wasn't opened, and we called their cell number, but the call wasn't attended. Seems very unprofessional unit.

Good place, ambience is really nice, food service takes really long time but being frequent visitor, i knw so doesnt matter.

Although veg options are limited, the vibe is amazing and makes up for it. It's pet friendly and we saw lots of dog owners here.

The food was decent and the service was great. One thing to note, for "Banana toffee" they mentioned caramelized bananas but it was literally just banana with toffee sauce on top.

Quite surprised that a restaurant this famous has a bad customer service. We visited this place yesterday and were disappointed with the level of customer service that we received. Nobody attended to us for 25-30 mins while we sat at the table. We visited this place since we're fans of Rony and. Barty's Youtube channel.

Food is served fresh, ingredients are top class, presentation is good, nice decor and above all service. I went there twice in last 2 days for lunch and dinner. Tried Indian food and Salads, very refreshing it was. Kati patang - the local beer is smooth. Also tried their Jams and pickle - plan to take Apricot jam and Nigdi pickle (they also sell).

It's a kind of garden restaurant. Restaurant is residing inside the garden. So many beautiful flowers. This place is best for the people who like to sit outside in the garden and have food. Beautiful place

What a tiny little humble place. I had bookmarked this place a long time ago and I'm super happy that I finally got to visit the place.
The interiors, the view, the food, and the service, EXCELLENT.
If I could, I would literally stay here just to see this place change with the weather.
I hope I can see this place in full bloom someday in the spring season.
Special mention for Pawan, his energy and enthusiasm is everything. The guy was super humble and talented.

The only good thing was the location which had a nice parking. I ordered a burger which was cold and coffee which had more than enough sugar and a bitter tasting banana toffee. Much better options available.

Overall it was a nice experience.
Seems to be little overhyped because this place belongs to the a great personality (Mr. Anubhav) and friend to Ronnie & Barty in Manali.
Ambiance is quite decent not so luxurious like Cafe 1947.
Food taste was normal as compared to prices, nothing special. I ordered spaghetti and bacon chicken. They were okay okay, not out of the world.
So it was an average experience though I had good time there.

Don't know what was better, the Food on my plate or the beautiful garden in which this restaurant is located.
In my recent visit i was blown away by the food art that i witnessed. What a blend of flavors the chef indulges u into.
Found the staff and the owners courteous and friendly. Such a haven for food lovers, that it reflects the passion of the hard working souls behind it.

I've had a lot of excellent food on the Kullu Valley, but this was the best so far

The hospitality was excellent and the ambience was superb.

The best burgers we've had and the roast mutton and mustard fish were absolutely the best. The chef, Mr. Gurung, is the owner and his skills and care are better than the best I've experienced in the plains.

Highly recommended. 5 stars.

Fat Plate is the reason people would never return to Manali. I have never seen a bigger con than Fat Plate. They charged us Rs680/- for a plate of mutton dish with 3 pieces. This is after confirmation, they said we would get a portion for 3 people with over 250gms of meat. What we got was a portion to feed one kid under the age of 12. If you want to get cheated in Manali, please go to Fat Plate. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Number 2 cafe in Manali after Cafe 1947. Situated little far from Manali. It is in Prini. Host is so nice.

Quite a famous cafe in & around Manali. Visited with high expectations for an afternoon lunch. The ambience is good (4/5), was seated in the garden area which was maintained very well. Beautiful flowers all around. The food was a slightly below expectations (3/5) when considering the price being charged. The chicken in both main courses dishes was a bit dry and chewy. Bacon in one them was just tough. Their sauces saved them though. Potato wedges were nice, served with a dip. Dessert (Banana Toffee) was barely above average. Service was fast and efficient (5/5)
Overall 4/5, some of the cafes in old Manali serve better food so some scope for improvement.

Everything we ate was divine. We ordered Indian. They have amazing jams and pickles for sale which are fantastic!

We were 12 of us and went there for lunch at 12: 30. We placed a lot of orders and they said our will reach in 20-30 mins n vb we were okay to wait
They have a lovely setting of a well placed garden which is frankly the only good part!
First they came to me after 15 mins saying your mutton curry will take too much time, so order an alternative chicken curry, n we agreed… after another 15 mins they came back saying that one is also unavailable and order another curry… we put up… and ordered a 3rd curry…. N after 20’mins when we thought we getting all the food they come back saying they couldn’t prepare that n order chicken burger!

Like really! Instea did chicken curry n roti they expects to have some precooked chicken patty burger!

We asked them to cancel n left the place and they were rude n unapologetic about the fact that it took them nearly 50 Mins to come n tell us they don’t have any chicken to cook!
Would have appreciated if they told us upfront that there are no chicken dishes….

We pretty sure the good reviews are only for the good looking place n the ambience which is pic worthy! Service sucks! The owner/ manager one slightly aged person was rude too….

Then we ended up reading the negative reviews n many people have had similar experiences…. Bad tasting food… very little quantity for the exorbitant price… poorly attitude staff!

If you wanna save money n time, please avoid visiting the place!

Place look very beautiful 10 out of 10 staff and owners greets you with smiles but food is so so may be good for non-vegetarian but for vegetarians not much and panner is khata like if you are vegetarian stay away but I am traveler visit every place in Manali as coming from childhood this place is very beautiful and people are nice need to improve food quality and more vegetarian options best of luck

Thin portion- not even sufficient for a single person. Not even close to a fat plate.lackadaisical service. I was pressurised to sit inside.being solo. I pointed out to a lady sitting by herself. Then I was shown a garden seat. No cutlery given with dish.hd to call out. But who cares? There was a big line of the rich nd mighty of manali waiting.
