Best resort in this area. Staff is superb. Rooms are very well maintained. Best part was the food. Chef made sure that all the items that were served are with no repetition. They also handled our request for non-spicy food for my kids. Food was so so tasty that I feel like going again and again. Location is surrounded by hills with a very best sunset view.

When it comes to hospitality and service flag house is undoubtedly best among all the properties located in hills. They serve some amazing food. The location is super prime. Special thanks to Siyaram ji who made sure our stay is hassle free and comfortable. I have always reserved Chautra on my four visits to this location, which feels to me like a second home.

The resort is located in one of the best possible places. Convenient to reach and very close to nature.
The rooms were not well lighted, half of the lights never switched on.
Power sockets were malfunctioning, no room heaters or blowers.
They didn't have a hair dryer nor a microwave. This is a resort in the hills am talking about, so it should be a home away from home, this these small facilities is what makes one stand apart from others.
The in-house food is extremely pricey given the fact that it lacked any taste, freshness and even oily and soggy.
The room service was lightening but it doesn't matter as whatever we asked was not available (dryer, blower or microwave)
Pet friendly place, thus people travelling with pets prefer but honestly a lot needs to be taken care of when it comes to hospitality.

I had a vacation in shimla but i was serching for a peaceful place near by and I found Flag House Resort in JUNGA near Shimla. It was a wonderful experience i had with my family. This is the place apart from the city life and crowd. It was very peaceful place with all the luxury services. Food was delicious and fresh. The staff was so kind and humble. We enjoyed indoor games and games in lawn area. I would love to have this luxury vacation again with my family. I want to thank to the entire team of Flag House Resort. Thank you!

Flag house is a decent location, quite in midst of the valley below Shimla. Good quality of food and cordial staff.
Only point is I really couldn't understand why they couldn't provide basic things like room slippers/comfies, hair dryer or bath tub facility. Which I believe are essential in cold climate. Also, rooms have this humid rusty smell and have old furniture, so dust allergic clients may make special request to vaccum before checking in.

I did an overnight stay in one of the tents. Whilst it was short stay, I have left wanting to come back again here. Food is customised and fresh, breakfast was very good and elaborate, staff (incl the GM) are very polite and supportive.

Had a wonderful time, stay was comfortable, rooms were clean and spacious just as we wanted, appetizing meals at restaurant, fun filled activities for kids.
Staff was very courteous and complaisant.
Mr. Siyaram, is highly appreciated for his efforts to make our stay astounding.

I stayed for a couple of nights for work. The hotel is the best service in the region and doesn't see any comparable hotel there.

Yes! It's the kind of resort which gives excellent service and serves variety of delicious food to their customer. We had booked a superior room. The room was having everything of your need including A big King size double bed, Sofa set, Study/Work table and electric cattle and heater etc. You will enjoy the every moment of your trip, not only just inside your room but also from your private balcony which gives you a awesome view. You are gonna love it for sure. It was our honeymoon trip and they had surprised us by giving a cake which indicates customer is their 1st priority and they want to make them happy first. The food was awesome and budget friendly. They best part was they served food directly to your room if you inform them. We love the place, food and service. Thanks to Mr Gaurav, Siyaram and team. Truly a best resort in Shimla.

After looking for many options in and out of Shimla, I finally booked Flag House Resort.

Although reaching to the location is an exercise as it takes approximately 45-60 minutes from Shimla, once you reach the resort you find it worth.
Rooms: We booked the standard, but got upgraded to the superior with great view.

Rooms are big enough in size and offer a fantastic view in the morning and at night also.

Service: One of the biggest USP of the resort is Mr. Siyaram - Supervisor of the resort. This guy will do his best for keeping you happy.

To summarize, please go for this place if you are going for a leisure trip and have your own vehicle plus you deadly need the peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of Shimla.

Had an excellent stay while we celebrated our anniversary. The staff at every point of contact were superb-as usual. Our room and accommodations were very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. One of the best resort. Great staff who know how to serve the customer. The room is well equipped and the service is excellent. It is a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery is beautiful and it is a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point is mesmerizing. Excellent hospitality

Natural, quiet place with lots of places to click photographs. Rooms are nice with a balcony. But to the top of it, the view out their is amazing and not less than a heaven.

U will absolutely fall in love with the place if ur a lone lover. We stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days. This property has its own beauty it's calm beautiful and has some breath taking views. The management staff is lovely and friendly.

For such a beautiful resort it can have a swimming pool to take the sun off in the summer season

There were hardly any guests during our visit so we didn't have a good break fast spread.

If ur not into exploring simla and just want to enjoy the nature and views u can stay here for the peace, spacious rooms and good food

Best place to stay if you want to move apart from crowd, very nice view, rooms are too specious, food is super good, Staff is very polite and Co operative.

The resort is superb, amazing view and total value for money. The best part was the great hospitality offered (all the staff was very corteous and respectful to our needs). It is slightly remote so offers you a chance to really feel the nature. And the food was super delicious (home like touch but superb taste). The resort is pet friendly and there is a very sweet and lovely dog at resort as well (name is veer) :). Thank you!

Amazingly beautiful experience. It's located at a hill separated from civilization, peaceful and natural. Room are pretty nice, staff is very supportive and the view from the room are something that one can not easily forget.

There is not full view. Because it's down on the mountain.also no river here. Only best thing is that there are some historical places nearby

The resort is around 25 kms and an hour ride away from Shimla. It's practically in middle of nowhere. I would recommend not coming here unless you have your own vehicle to commute. Even the local attractions like Junga fort are quite far off from this resort. We had a below average experience in terms of food. We asked them to recommend something for lunch. They suggested rice and maa ki dal (which turned out to be a sweet dish made of dry fruits and ghee). During dinner also, noodles were average with lots of oil dripping. Breakfast spread was limited and the kitchen service was slow. They were making one bhatura at a time that kids were chasing to get first. As for room, they had one noisy table fan instead of a ceiling fan. The basic room comes without any balcony, so beware when you are choosing rooms. They only have 4 such rooms. We ended up taking a taxi back and forth to Shimla, which wasn't the most economical way. The last bus back to Shimla on a Sunday seemed to be at 9AM, which is exactly the time their breakfast buffet starts. Overall, not a great experience and wouldn't recommend this resort.

The best point of this hotel is its view. The view of valley from hotel is very very much beautiful. This is best stay option for Honeymoon couples. Restaurant serves very tasty food with much variety. Staff is also cooperative. Negetive point of the hotel is its location. It is far away from main shimala city. We had booked car from chandigarh for 8 days, so it was not troubled us.

Amazing get away from the crazy daily life. 45 min North of Shimla amidst the valley is this beautiful resort. The property is very well done up and good enough to spend a day. One can play chess and Scrabble or foozeball or catch up on a book reading in the library. Very compact property yet spacious rooms. Food here is amazing. Order anything and you are sure to love it. Maggi and tea on a cold evening will make your stay here worth while. Very cooperative staff and management.
