Gilbert Nature Trail

Must go on this trail if you're visiting Kasauli. Enjoy the view as you go along the trail. There is no exit point here, so you'll have to walk all the way back from where you entered.

Gilbert trail nature trail is located in Kasauli. One can reach there by following the beautiful path of upper mall road. The Gilbert Nature trail is so much picturesque that you wud like to capture it's beauty In ur camera at every point. At the end of Gilbert Nature trail on right hand side there is a less travel path, one can trek on it to enjoy the nature beauty.

Its a wonderful place to trek in the mountains. A 3 to 4 feet wide kuchha track takes you amidst the nature where you can feel the eternal peace and happiness.
Not safe during rainy seasons as it goes slippery and there are deep gorges. Maintained by Indian Army. Around 3.8 KM trek but you can come back from the hut constructed for viewing planes which is around 300 mtr of the starting of trail from BSNL office.

Great trail. Serene, gradient gentle, excellent view of valley as you walk. Do explore route ahead of the gazibo.

It was an awesome view and trail, although I'd recommend ploughing to improve the beauty caused by idiots

The trail is perfect for those who loves to trek but don't want dangerous treks. Perfect combination of nature walk and high altitude trekking. Along the way you can also see army camps and the boards having Indian army quotes are really breathtaking.

Its a trek, a walk in nature. There is one resting point with a fantastic view of valley. On the way you enjoy valley view, greenery and sound of birds. We found monkeys but they were harmless. Nothing to see except for a road to walk. Road is okay.
Tip. Go with a company and in the evening when weather is good.

An amazing trail to have a peaceful experience of how beautiful the nature is and how you can get lost in it. It offers incredible views. The trail is narrow with rumbled paths. One has to be careful while walking through it. Once you reach the end, there is another way to go or you can come back. You get some foggy mountains to see, and the green mountains (if the sky is clear) along with the endless sky. The place is at height.
Walking through the Gilbert Trail, you'll feel more happy and close to nature and will want to spend more time at that place.

If you think you are in the midst of a jungle then you are mistskrn. Its a good walk with hill on one side and a deep valley on the other side. Only thing you hear is birds chirping.

I visited this place many times in last eight years with my family and friends whenever i need a break from my regular job routines.
This is the place i can come endless number of times in coming future as well because this place is so peaceful, calm & full of lush green. So away from the crowd of cities. Well maintained place & it's been under control of an Indian Army. It's a cantonment area basically & safe as well.
I can recommend this place to all.

Essential trail in Kasauli. If you're willing to have some mountain walk, this is the best place. But it goes nowhere, so wherever you go you must need to return back to the starting place. If you are here to catch Manki point, then this is not the path to do so. Although you will get a view of the Manki point from here very clearly. But you can never get there from this trail.

A bit difficult to find the trail but once found you have an unforgettable experience.
Go straight after the sunset point and you will soon find a board towards right stating Gilbert nature trail and BSNL office. That is the path u need to take

An awesome place to try and trek in Kasauli. The path is well maintained and safe. The adverturous ones can try climbing up the slopes. Also. There are halts where one can enjoy the view. The path leads to Manki point where airforce station and hanuman mandir is located.

Early morning walks are lovely, ull see some locals, it's cool peaceful, not a soul and maybe an occasional deer

It's a little trek completely in the lap of nature. Go there in morning hours if possible. You might see a sambar deer and mountain goat there. Don't worry it's safe visiting there. If you visit kasauli then don't miss going gilbert trail.
