Amazing experience in stay, great welcoming behavior of Shivu bhai who manages the complete place. If you want a great view and exciting weekend this is the place for you.

There were many hurdles to reach this place but hey we were here for adventure life, so enjoyed our stay as well traveling around.

Would not recommend anyone is looking for a serious workcation.

But anyone is looking for peace stay away from crowd this is the place where you can start with.

Around 100m of road uphill was damaged due to floods when we went there, but the views from this hostel, less traffic of people was worth it.

Gostops at mcloedganj is amazingly managed by Shiva and Akshay. Loved the place and its vibe. The view from the top and Shiva's yoga class is stress relieving. Bhagsu water fall is hardly a kilometre away from the hostel. Overall experience: Amazing!

I visited the Gostops Bhagsu in November'21 and honestly wasn't happy with the stay.
Firstly, the location is not so great. You have to walk quite a bit to reach the place as no cab will drop you there. So it's better to travel light if you're planning a stay here. Basically, you have to walk around 350 metres up a steep rocky path from the Bhagsu taxi stand and reach the Nature twins cafe. On the right side, you'll see a staircase. It's around 50 steps that leads you to Unity Bistro cafe. Take the left and it's a minute walk to the hostel. I don't really think there's any board around to guide you.
I could see only one staff member Akshay. He was helpful.
The reception is on the top floor. There's no proper common room. It's just a small space at the reception. There's an open space to enjoy the view of Bhagsu outside the reception. There's no cafe at the hostel. I mostly went to Unity Bistro to eat as it was the closest to the hostel, which had excellent food options btw.
Coming to the dorm, I'd booked a 4 bed dorm. The space was good, but it wasn't very clean. Bedsheet had stains here and there and was dusty. No side table was provided beside the beds. A locker was provided per person though. The washroom was very dirty. There were cobwebs around every corner. The washbasin tap was leaking, hair was all over the floor and basin, hand wash pump was empty- these had to be conveyed and get it done. Room wasn't cleaned on all days. They lacked staff I guess.
Overall, it wasn't a good experience, and wouldn't really recommend any traveller to stay here.

Worst road to reach the Hostel. No staff assistant provided. Crowded and pathetic service.need multiple follow up

Good hostel for workation. Wifi is more than 25 MBps. Currently the hostel does not provide food as the cafe is closed and that's the only con here.
You can find good restaurants nearby though

Was here during Holi, although the staff was friendly one of them flicked my slippers. Writing this review now because recently one of cousin went there and when he returned he said someone stole his leather jacket

Not a good place to visit, hostel rooms are okay and not soo spacious, private rooms are too congested and the worst part is that hostel is approx 500-600m above the main road and no car or any transportation can go there because of bad condition of road, so you have take your whole luggage and bags and walk to go there, and even they don’t provide you any boy or some guy to carry your luggage. Too bad

Poor facility most of the time electricity was not working and sockets are broken too avoid this place

Great hostel for stay. We stayed 4 days and was on workation. Wifi connectivity is Ok not too fast but. Have mobile network for all service providers so was easily able to work from this hostel

Location- View is good. Nearby to all good cafes. 5 -7 min walking distance from Bhagsunag market.

Infrastructure- 3 floor building with different capacity dorms. The top floor has common area and has great ambience with mountain view

Dorms- Clean and neat. Individual sockets and lamb at each bed side. Washroom for 8 dorm room outside the room and for 6 dorm washroom is inside the room. Geyser available in every washroom

Food- Rates are very high and taste of the food is ok

Staff- Friendly and very helpful. Shiva is the multi talenter person and entertains all his guest with his skills

Worst Owner of the year. He has cheaper attitude. Don't prefer it please if you're really on vacations

I stayed here for a week and i noticed many this there is no toilet paper in washroom, zero cleaness, zero hygiene, do it food there i request all guys please don't eat food there, they don't change the bed sheets and the hospitality very bad, i never visit that place in my life ever.

The place is really good and the hosts are extremely friendly and care for their guests so that we could have a good time at the hostel. Definitely come to Gostops when visiting Mcleodganj

We stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed our stay. This hostel is located in Upper Bhagsunag and is close to many good cafes.
The dorms were very clean and good and the common area on the top floor has a great view. Just a suggestion, the food rates are a bit high.

It was great stay here! With amazing views, clean rooms and washrooms, good service and also easy checkin my experience was beautiful one! Planning to visit again

This hostels has dorms with 4,6 and 8 beds. 4 and 6 bed dorms have ensuite bathrooms. Overall hostel is good, though I am giving one star less due to inconsistent housekeeping. Staff is good and manager Akshay and owner Shiva are great guys.thisbplace is difficult to find through maps. Better ask a local as the entrance is hidden. Look for unity bistro and you will find it. Every dorm has balcony for smoking. Restaurant lounge is open for eating and working. Food is average and costly in restaurant. Overall good hostel for budget travel.

Amazing experience, the place was in a good location and a very nice balcony on top to chill out.
They got a very nice workspace with good interior and nice drawings.

Great place to stay, good food, ambience, cleanliness, good managemnent and staff.rooftop view and sitting, top floor has a beautiful sitting area.heater available and games as well like cards.

I stayed for two days and it was an amazing experience with gostops. Price of the stay is an upside. The boys managing the property are very humble and the cafe maintained at the terrace is very well managed. Loved the vibe and the ambience. Kudos.

The location is at a perfect distance from all the good places in Mcleo. The staff is very hospitable and treats you like family. The In-house café is also great and serves amazing food.
