Gurudwara Sahib Chail is strategically located in the lap of the Himalayas, at an altitude of approximately 2,250 meters. During a recent visit to this sacred place, I was captivated by the tranquil ambiance and the warmth of the Sikh community that welcomes visitors with open arms.

Road to gurudwara is not good, looks like no maintenance for last 10 years.
Accommodation Hall is same like worsen.

Established by family of Dr. Amrendar singh, it is managed by Sewadar Pritpal ji alone. Situated in A very beautiful natural place and well maintained.

It is also a wonderful haritage place for destination wedding and pre wedding shoots.

Baba Pritpal Singh ji able to maintain this alone and that's very tough for him, but by grace of Waheguru ji he is doing it all alone with help of few donations.

People maintaining the gurudwara sahib are not receiving the righftful funds from the Patiala Gharana as per the caretakers there.

This gurudwara is situated near chail bus stand just the walking distance of three or four hundred this Gurudwara is built by Maharaj Bhupinder Singh in 1907

Nestled above the chail market, while tourist crowd is running towards one side, there is steep climb towards this quaint little gurudwara. It is a place of peace with kirtan being played in the middle of tall trees. Mr. Pritpal Singh, the one n only who has not just kept the place running but has been working hard to do sewa of sangat all with his individual efforts.
We all must visit n support his efforts to keep the faith alive.

Must visit place for every tourist. It is located just off the starting of Chail market into the lush green pines. A little trek up but definitely worth it. It is very peaceful and calm place managed single handedly by Mr. Pritpal Singh, a beautiful gentleman to spend time with and learn about the history of the place.

The Chail Gurudwara is a Sikh temple which was established at Chail in 1907. It was constructed by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. After partition of Punjab, the building was taken over by the government of Himachal Pradesh. Since then, the Department of Art & Culture started looking after the Gurudwara affairs.

Chail Heritage Foundation, an NGO formed by ex-students of Chail Military School, took up the challenge and started renovating the building. The first phase of the renovation was completed before the centenary and the refurbished Gurudwara was inaugurated on Guru Nanak Devji's Gurupurab in 2007. The original architecture of the building that resembles a church has been preserved.

Gurudwara is approximately 200 meters from the main Chail bus station. It can be reached by a steep road (gradient 35 degrees) from the Chail post office.

A small request to all travellers/tourist or riders, please visit this place as well while you are spending some time in Chail. You will get all information about the place and Gurudwara Sahib conditions and the people who are are suffering here due to Himachal Pradesh government. There is no support to Gurudwara Sahib from local residents or Government.

It's great place to stay at 100 per night for parents of children studying in Rashtriya Military School chail.

Very peaceful place. The Gurudwara has been taken care by just one person since so many years. I wasn't planning to visit there as I did not know that this place existed. While on a random stroll during the evening, I ended up there, was mesmerised by the soft shabad playing in the speakers, so I went inside, bended my knee and met and awesome human being. This particular person, sardar ji told me that he has been taking care of the gurudwara all by himself and has been handling all the social media presence of this place with his laptop. Must visit for all and do say hello to Sardarji.

Gurdwara sahib was built in 1907 by maharaja Bhupendra Singh of Patiala. The building is well maintained and has patronage of HP Govt. With lot of donations from devotees specially NRIs the interiors have got facelift. The place serene admist pine and deodar trees at the peak point in chair town. Ideal placeto sit and meditate. There is arrangement for stay overnight for devotees

Tucked away in the hill town of Chail is a 100+ year old gurudwara.loved the old structure and the beautiful architecture but not sure about the style. As with all Gurudwaras the place provided solace. Absolute serenity!

Divine place. Spiritually attached to it since my school boardings days from 1973-80. Coming here for organizing Langar on Gurupurab every year since 2007 on Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti.

Peaceful, calm & very unique kind of feel. You just sit here, feel the surroundings and you get very positive vibes that charge your mind & soul.
You need to park your vehicle near the market area (mind it. Not on Market Road, else traffic will be blocked). This is bit flat extended area and from here you need to walk uphill. Don't try to take your vehicle uphill, as it's too steep. And with little effort of steep walk you can reach this peaceful place

Quaint gurudwara in midst of towering deodar forest. Small steep walk from the main square in Chail Bazaar. Clean and quiet though the facilities are very rudimentary.

Please make sure to visit this Gurudwara, the guy who look after this Gurudwara is literally a open minded and religious baba and people call him high tech baba

All the relegious places are amazing with nice ambience, but this place tops the charts with its great Positive Vibes and its historical structure.
Its structure stands out as it doesn't give you a view of a regular Gurudwara Sahibs structure, rather it looks like a church from Colonial Era.

Beautiful location. However roads to Gurudwara Sahib has been ignored. Needs more attention. Gianiji is very educated and passionate towards his work. But Gurudwara Sahib needs more fund. We did whatever we could at that moment. If anybody ready to donate, please volunteer!

Even the hustle and bustle just 200m down cannot disturb your zen here. Do meet the Sevadar here. His and the gurudwara is something to look forward to.
