I don't have any problems with gurudwara but that location Manikaran is too dirty might be because of tourists or himachal govt they didn't do anything for that.

I was there from my 3 Day trek? ‍️ in Kasol camp in the month of December & January? 2019-2020. This is the place of heaven.
You will Naturally hot water from the river passing by, Shiv temple and Gurudwara,
There are very nice arrangements for the devotees. The hot water bath inside is very relaxing and refreshing.
You can also stay at the Gurudwara premises and there is a facility for the meal of the day and evening. I heard that the food that is made here is not on fire but it is prepared with hot water,
Mein and my friends had a meal there, the food was very tasty. So you too go and take shelter.

When I went red fruit was also available which appeard like Tomato but was very sweet from inside and it was very tasty too. Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs with hot springs, located in the lap of Parvati Valley. It is just 2 kms from a well known place Kasol. The main reason behind the presence of the hot water springs is the deep cracks or fissures in the Parvati Valley region. Beautiful place manikaran gurdwara
We visited Manikaran Sahib on the last day of our 18th day of the long Himachal Odyssey. It was like saying Thank you before we head home. We started from Manali in the morning after breakfast and reached the holy Gurudwara well before lunchtime. We, of course, knew about the hot springs there and the hippie village of Kasol on the way. But then every day that you spend traveling, you get to see things that you never expected.

Parvati Valley

Parvati River in Parvati Valley

On the way, we drove along the Parvati River. Parvati river that gives the name to Parvati Valley is like a young girl and perfect word to describe her would be ‘Alhad’. She is impatient, in a hurry and full of energy. Cutting through the mighty Himalayan mountains, she makes her way. She is unstoppable. A look at her and you know you can not hold her, control her and bind her abundant energy. You can only sit back and admire and you can only wish well for her.

On the other side are these rocky mountains. The road is like the central lever of a balance. That balances the steady strength of mountains with the flowing strength of Parvati River’s waters.

Bridge over Parvati River at Parvati Valley

We crossed a bridge built on Parvati River to reach the Gurudwara. It was when I stood on this river that I realized the strength of water with all its force. There was so much force in the water that nothing could have stood in its way. Even my thoughts seem to have stopped. All I could hear was the roar of the river beneath that metal bridge.

Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib

Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurudwara

This Gurudwara celebrates the visit of Guru Nanak Dev at Manikaran in late 16th CE. Legend is that when Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited the place and asked for Langar from the village. They received all the raw material but there was no fire to cook. Guru Nanak Dev Ji told his disciples to lift a stone. To everyone’s surprise, there was boiling hot water under the stone – good enough to cook food in it. However, the food kept getting drowned in the hot water pond and the disciples looked at the Guru. Guru taught them a lesson in gratitude when he asked them to offer the food to God if you want to have it. And yes, as soon as it was pledged to be offered to God, food started floating.

MAHARISHI VED VYASA IN BHAVISHYA PURANA PREDICTED THE VISIT OF GURU NANAK DEV

Today, there stands a Gurudwara at the very spot. It is on every Sikh devotee’s wishlist to visit Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib at least once in a lifetime. We spent some time at the Gurudwara where Gurbani path was being recited. After ages, I ate the Kadha prasad – that is not just the tastiest of the foods. But also holds many childhood memories of growing around Gurudwaras in Punjab. We said our prayers and set out to explore the hot springs behind the shrine.

GURU GOBIND SINGH ALSO VISITED MANIKARAN WITH HIS PANJ PAYARAS

Hot Springs at Manikaran Sahib

Garam Kothi

We walked through a long tunnel-like corridor to a room called ‘Garam Kothi’. The stones below our feet were hot. In the room, it was impossible to stand, the heat was too much to bear. We saw many old people sitting on the stone. When we asked them why are they sitting there, we were surprised by the answer? They said the heat here can cure you of many diseases, especially joint pains and related problems. It would take a lot of willpower to sit in that heat. I guess it would be worth it if you can cure yourself without any pills. We got out and passed through a bustling bazaar – which is a hallmark of any pilgrim place in India.

We were led to the courtyard of a Shiva Temple where we could see many a well like openings with boiling water. With River Parvati flowing in the backdrop, it was impossible to believe that the two water’s next to each other is more or less about 100 degrees centigrade apart in temperature. The water of Parvati was ice cold and right next to it the hot water springs had boiling hot water. The water was so hot that there were wooden planks kept for people to move around.

Manikaran, perched on the right bank of the roaring Parvati River, is situated at an altitude of 1760 m and is located about 45 kms, from Kullu, via Bhuntar, in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. Manikaran, a place of pilgrimage for Hindus and Sikhs, has many temples and a gurdwara. It has perfect examples of the historic temples of Lord Rama,  Krishna,  Vishnu  (Raghunath) and goddess Bhagwati.

The Ram Temple was built in pyramidal style by Raja Jagat Singh in the 17th century when the idol of Lord Rama was brought from Ayodhya. The idol was later shifted to Kullu. The temple was renovated by Raja Dilip Singh in 1889 AD. A trust is looking after the temple since 1981. The temple complex has three halls and forty rooms for the devotees to stay in. A 'Langar' (free communal food) is also served here.

Manikarran is an awesome place to visit. Situated on the bank of Parvati river you will have breathtaking view of mountains in background. The main attraction in manikaran is Gurdwara. Well decorated and peaceful is what comes in my mind when i think of this place. If you are traveling overnight to manikaran you can get fresh here. There is hot water pond and washrooms inside premise. Hygiene is one issues and can be improved.

Located in the bank of Parvati river northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh (altitude 1760 m).
Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre for Hindu's and Sikhs. The Hindus believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the flood, making it a sacred area. It has many temples and a gurudwara. There are temples of the Hindu deities Rama,  Krishna, and Vishnu. The area is well known for its hot springs and its beautiful landscape.

According to legend, when the Hindu God Shiva and his consort Parvati were walking in the valley, Parvati dropped one of her earrings. The jewel was seized by Shesha, the serpent deity, who then disappeared into the earth with it. Shesha only surrendered the jewel when Shiva performed the cosmic dance, the Tandava and shot the jewel up through the water. Apparently, jewels continued to be thrown up in the waters at Manikaran until the 1905 Kangra earthquake.

This place is famous among tourists for its hot water spring. It is really a marvelous natural phenomenon making this cool place warm & cozy! All the hotels & houses has hot water facilities directly connected from hot water spring.
