White sauce pasta (veg) and chocolate truffle with ice-cream are worth every calorie. Variety in menu. Polite staff. Quick service. Consistent in quality.

So this cafe is situated on the mall road, right next to the Gaiety theater.

The view is really good as you can see the hustle and bustle of the crowd down under.

They have a bakery in the lower floor where u can get cake and other sweet desserts.

They have seating area on the 1st floor. The sitting seemed a bit cramped but wasn't that bad.

We ordered a Pizza, Fries, Pasta and some coke.

The food arrived shortly and it was delicious. Although the serving size for pasta could've have been bigger. Considering it was almost 400 bucks.

Overall a meal for 4 people cost us 1100 bucks. Which isn't bad.

The cafe is Good and I usually dine here when I'm on the mall.

Very taste food all dishes awsome. Service is too good. All staff members behavior is too good. We came to eat again and again. Good luck

Visited this restaurant for morning breakfast. We tasted cold coffee, sandwiches and parathas. The portion served were decent. Some of the dishes are a bit expensive. Overall the food and service was good.

Opposite to the famous townhall on mall Road Shimla, this cafe is beautifully located and the food is great. Do try their Masala cola beverage. Much recommended.

It’s been 2 months they have closed the washroom.if customer with kids aged parents are along on dinner or lunch.where will they use the washroom.every time an excuse comes as water not there.how are they making meals without water …. Highly disappointed

The food was not as per me and my friends expectations. Recommendation food (chilli potato). Else everything was bland. DISAPPOINTED

Small and cozy cafe located on Mall road Shimla. Tried their truffle pastry which was filled with nuts and cherry spread. Soft and fresh in taste. Highly recommended.

A bit small Cafe but don't go by the size of the Cafe, The food served here is very delicious and also in very good quantity. The pizza and fries I tried were top notch. The Grilled chicken rice plater was delicious too. The service too is very fast

Loved this place, the ambience, the staff, the food everything was good. The staffs were polite and asked if we liked our food. The tomato soup was very good. They could improve taste for other cuisines but it's still above average and seems like a better option among other such restaurants.

I had very bad experience with this cafe.kept waiting for my order for almost an hour and received cold food and only the half of my order.
Got really disappointed with the service. Hope to never visit this cafe again and won't recommend this to anybody.
1 particular girl was roaming here and there but didn't get the order on time after waiting for more than an hour my friend and I had to leave without having the food.

Amazing food. Was in shimla for 3 days, had 3 meals at this restaurant only because didn't find others to deliver this good on casual dining. One of the best Chicken burgers you can find in Shimla, and must try pizzas too. For vegetarians, my wife loved the cottage cheese platter, highly recommended.

I spent nearly four hours here, sitting, enjoying some really lip-smacking meals and working.
I had tried coffee, chilli potato, aloo paratha, paneer paratha with curd. The staff is cordial and very helpful. It's a wonderful option within your budget if you are around.
I actually needed a calm place for working and this cafe was my best pick.

Great staff, menu is huge. But it's quality of food changes everytime we eat there! Sometimes good sometimes it needs to be replaced. Good option on Mall Road though.

It's a cute cafe where one can spend a couple of hours reading a book whil sipping some hot coffee.
I personally preferred their coffee to everything else.

The place is very good with wonderful view of ridge. The pasta and Virgin Mojito is very delicious. Though the staff of the restaurant upstairs is not very attentive and welcoming. We called them atleast 10 times for every single thing, including water. Overall the food is amazing.

Went here today and it seemed like a nice place. But the prices are rather on the higher side than what usually is being charged on Mall road.
Ordered a pasta expecting brocolli as confirmed by the waiter, 2 shakes.

However, the pasta turned out without brocolli and upon questioning the waiter.he said they were out of brocolli.

The shakes were extremely thin like sweet water with essence.

I wanted to order pastries also but such a mediocre preparation stopped me from ordering further.

In short, higher than usual prices and below than average food.

The shop has 2 branches which are located in front of the townhall on the mall road. The owner mohan bhaiya is a really nice person. The staff is very polite and friendly and welcoming. The food is great and the prices are also good. Would recommend for the good food and the view of the mall road.

We went to the new Hideout cafe above the bakery counter yesterday. Always been happy in the old one.
The service here was slow even when no other customers. 25-30 minutes for masala omelette. There was a hair in the coffee. The girl serving was very polite but we will not go again.

This place is great. I have been there on and off. It's been two years since I've been there but I thought about this place and thought it would be a good idea to post a review. All that said if you're in Shimla for a short duration or if you're a resident eitherway, this is a great hangout and has good food.

U ordered the waffles and it was great. Although the price might seem a bit steep but it is located on the ridge so that was to be expected. The service was excellent and so was the food.

Good location. On the main mall road. Near Fire Station. You can have the mall road view from the window seat. Small place with 4-5 tables. Food is of good quality. Prices are also reasonable. Service is good. Bakery at the ground floor and restaurant at the first floor.

This is a nice place located in the mall road of Shimla just opposite to the police assistance room. It's small, clean good service and have nice view form the 2nd floor. Must visit and try.

A nice small cafe in the middle of Beautiful Mall road of shimla. Tried the Choco Chip pastry and it was delicious and soft. The price of ₹80 was a bit on the higher side but considering the shop on mall road, it was ok. The staff was polite and had a smile on the their face. Recommended!

Quite a lovely joint at the middle of the mall road in Shimla with a good multi cuisine menu. Ambience is woody and apt for a mountain cafe. The food is prepared fresh to order and the quality is nice. Their location is right at the town hall and you have a view of the town square from the window of the restaurant. Great place to sit and grab a bite. We had pizzas and soups which were all prepared well and tasty to eat. We had an great time after walking up and down the mall road a few times your appetite is charged to the next level and the entire family jumps on the food as soon as it arrives.

Hide Out Cafe was cozy and served delicious food! We ordered foccassia bread (veg) which came with high quality bread and mayo-corn combo. A chicken royal burger was also ordered by my friends and they said they really enjoyed it! Overall, a must visit if you are a foodie!

Did a 20 minutes walk in search of this cafe and it was all worth it at the end. One of the best places to eat at mall road shimla. The staff was unbelievably polite, food was delicious, the drinks we're refreshing and service was quick. We had a red sauce pasta and waffles and that pasta was as delicious as it can get. They deserve every bit of appreciation. Special mentions to how clean and maintained was their washroom.

Loved this small cafe in shimla, had a great time here enjoying different dishes. Their cheese garlic bread is amazing, also like chocolate shake and noodles. The washrooms are kept really clean and the staff is very polite and humble. The place feels welcoming and the view from cafe's first floor is great. A must place cafe whenever you visit Shimla.

One of the best places to have some nice food on the Mall road. Almost everything that I've tried here has been great. The service & staff behavior is also good. Their menu options are good enough for a little place like this. The place is a bit conjusted and their prices are a bit on higher side, but overall, this cafe is one of the finest in town. What a find! On the recommendation of our guide, Kavi, we ventured up the narrow staircase to the Hideout and found good conversation with the owner, Small place but great food and prompt service with polite staff. Food was well prepared and portions were large. Definitely recommend.

This is one of the best cafés in Shimla. Happy go lucky ambiance, mouth watering food, awesome service. Although each dish was delicious, grilled paneer sandwich, pancakes and hot chocolate are a must try!

Came here on my last night in Shimla for dinner. Cosy upstairs seating overlooking the Mall. The pasta was tasty, I ordered spaghetti in olive oil & garlic, non-veg. Staff were courteous and attentive. Food came out in good time despite being quite full with customers. Would come back again if had the chance

Staff was very courteous. Apple pie was really tasty. Rest all could be rated below average only. The cheese on pizza was weird and the tomato soup had some strange ingredients. Decor was mediocre.

Visited this place on Diwali. Staff is courteous and they make every possible effort to satisfy the diner. Their food and drinks are just average, nothing to go gaga over.

Ate a number of times at this cafe for both breakfast and dinner. Service was always excellent and food was to a high standard. A seat by the window provided views over the mall. Individual needs were catered for e.g. When ordering the lemon, ginger and honey tea and less honey was requested, the option of honey separately was offered so I could add exactly what I required.

Highly overpriced place, except the service everything is bad in this place, staff is very polite but preparation is not good, veg burger costing mind blowing ₹ 300. Mineral water bottle is priced at ₹29, ₹9 over mrp. Shocking, they could run a good restaurant if they price the things appropriately.

The food is good with a decent enoug taste. One thing which surely makes it stand out from others is fresh use of ingredients. The cafe is situated right in middle of the Mall Road and is one of the best dining options in terms of food. One thing which is a let down is the seating arrangement which I personally thought is too congested and you'd barely have any room to breathe on a full house day. Apart from that a good place and highly recommended.

Nice cafe, good food, they care about foreigners not taking spicy food. But small and has too many tables, so really less space in there
