Himachal Pradesh University

HPU is The Education hub of Himachal Pradesh. Situated in Summer hill around 6 km from the Mall HPU has more than a dozen faculties which runs more than a 100 different academic programmes, professors are well educated and and most of them have received PhD in their respective field. It also has a large auditorium where various events and cultural festivals are conducted. There's also free wifi for the students. A regular dispensary at the university campus is also available.
Many eminent personalities have passed out from this university like Hamid Karzai, JP Nadda, Mohit chauhan, Anand sharma etc.
Though there is a need to update its infrastructure, there are not adequate chairs in the library and there's also criticism about its syllabus, delay in results and less classroom studies etc.

Shabnam ma'ams behavior is not good with students nd she didn't do my work uh know I was came from Mandi to Hpu especially for do my little work bt her behavior

Himachal Pradesh is heaven on earth.
हिमाचल प्रदेश Himachal pardesh has very beautiful and attractive cities like Shimla, Dharmashala, kullu, Manali etc, Himachal is known for its spectacular valleys, breathtaking views, snowcapped mountains, and lush forests of oak, deodar, and pine. If I say in one line, Himachal Pradesh is the city of mountains, but today Himachal is in great danger, where nature is showing its fierce form. Lakhs are getting affected. The ancient temples are also getting destroyed. In the end, we humans are responsible for all these, who have built hotels and guest houses illegally on mountains and the same time deforestation has also been done at a great numbers. Abhi bhi time hai, we should be careful.
I have request to Government Of India to look into the matter at earliest it's a serious topic otherwise we are going to lose a heaven.
For now I pray for Himachal pardesh

Himachal Pradesh University Campus is very good through education, this university is located in the middle of dense forests, its temperature remains much cooler due to dense forests, due to being in the center of this university, education from all the districts as well as from other states People come here to receive.

Himachal Pradesh University was established on 22 July 1970 by The Himachal Pradesh University Act, 1970  (HP Act No 17 of 1970) by the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The Faculty of Law of the university came into existence on the same date, whereas other departments were created in subsequent years.

The University has a total of 13 faculties, 11 of which comprise 52 departments and 5 centres and institutes, which run 132 academic programe

The university is distributed in few blocks each block haive its own name. Nice place people are very helpful

It is very expensive place. The shopkeepers also charges money to charge your phone. The food is also very costly. Full plate rice costs Rupees 80 which you can get at just Rs. 50 if you move some far from this place (e.g summer hill)

Nice Campus, Accredited from NAAC as A+ University.
Environment and Atmosphere is really good.

Worst University.marks depend on checker's mood and to the point answers are not entertained you must fill sheets as much as you can.don't even think about enrolling in a course from hpu (thank me later)

Even after 3 years of final examinations, the university is not able to provide degree to students and for provisional degree they are charging rs. 500/ 1000/ 1500 depending upon the time you are taking the degree.
Is this a university or a business?
This is rubbish.
There is no fascility of generator in the bank branch and fee counter. Like what the hell are they doing?

One of the university in India where all the staff, right from the Peon to Academic staff are recruited on the basis of political connections.
Please check department of management, public administration and commerce, where all the academic staff are on the basis of political connections-what they will teach-nothing -just collecting heavy pay cheques from the university-knowledge wise too, they are no where in the country. Please do not even bother to get admission there.

Himachal Pradesh University is a public non-profit University fully financed by the government of HP State and the UGC. University is located in Summer Hill near Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. Most sought after for Graduation and Post Graduation level courses in Basic Sciences, Humanities, Management, Tourism and Computer Engineering. Old infrastructure, needs renovation. Student politics quite active here. Very good library offers perfect study environment for the students. Overall a wonderful ambience for study. Highly qualified and sincere staff.

Old bus station is 400-500m away than mall road shimla.
