A beautiful and spiritually charged Tibetan Buddhist monastery. One is firstly touched by the hospitality - once you enter the main monastery the hosts offer you biscuits and warm tea. There is no donation expected and you can participate in soaking in the group chanting that is conducted by the monks. There are large bells in other blocks within the monastery site. This culture should be cherished. Please visit.

Himalayan Nyingmapa Tibetan Buddhist Monastery was built in 1957 and it is a two-storey temple located near Mall Road. The colorful wall paintings and statues add a special touch to the beauty of this pristine monastery. There is a huge idol of Shakyamuni in a meditative posture.

Parking is a bit problematic. The temple is usually not crowded. Camera permission costs only Rs 20

Well maintained and peaceful monastery like the other ones I have visited in past. Weekends may get crowded but if you really want to pray in peace, you can move up to the first floor where they have kept a quiet area for visitors to offer prayers in peace.

Buddhist mosestary made in 1960 around Tibbetan market, has great relevance for Tibbetan people of the area. Market around this offers good Tibbetan food at reqsonable prices

The people are very friendly over there
And the monastery is also so big and beautiful

Himalayan Nyingmapa Gompa is a Buddhist monastery located in Manali and one of the most famous monasteries situated in north India.
