बहुत ही बुरा अनभुव था हमारा यहां । हमने ऑर्डर कुछ ओर किया ओर हमे दिया कोई ओर ऑर्डर गया । जब हमने बहा एक बार टेंडेर् से पुछा तो पहले वो हमे घूर कर देखने लगा ओर बोलता यही ऑर्डर किया था अपने। उसने एक वार् भी अपने वैटर से पूछना जरूरी नही समझा जिसने हमारा ऑर्डर लिया था । ओर उस वार् टेंडर मे ऐटिटूड इतना जैसे हमने बहा आके कोई गलती कर दी हो । उसके इसी बेकार् ऐटिटूड के करण हम तो दोबारा इस होटल मे जाना कभी प्रेफर नहीं करेंगे। ओर जब तक हमारा ऑर्डर आ रहा था तब तक हम कुछ् फोटोज लेने लगे तब बाह हमे ऐसे, देखता जैसे हमे मार डालेगा । ओर अगर आपके साथ कोई माता या बहन हाँ ।तो मे उन्हे भी वाहा ना ले जाने की सलाह दूंगा उस एक जेंटलमेन की बजह से । ओर दोस्तों लोकेशन अच्छी थी पर अटेंडिंग स्टाफ अच्छा नहीं है मै इनके सीनियर स्टाफ ओर जनरल मैनेजर ओर मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर को भी इसके वारे मे ध्यान देने की सलाह दुंगा। ओर आप् आगे से स्टाफिंग करे तो ये जरूर ध्यान दे की स्टाफ हेल्पिंग ओर फ्रनेडली हो ना की आपका बिज़नेस ओर कस्टमर तोड़ने बाला हो। मुझे सच मे अच्छा नही लगा इसलिए मे आपके 10 से 15 ग्राहक तोडूंगा ओर बो आगे इसी तरह ओर ग्रहक को तोडेगें उस एक वार् टेंडर की बजह से ।

The behavior of the staff was very rude and unprofessional. The man and girl were fighting with me at the reception.
Initially, they were nice, but at the time of check-out, they asked me to pay extra. And when I asked, he started shouting and telling me that the fare for the room where you had stayed was more than what you had paid. But since I was in a hurry to catch my bus, I had to pay them extra. I think it was a very bad and miserable experience for me.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is really hard to find a good hotel at the same price at such a nice location. Rooms are big, comfortable. Service is also nice although I feel rooms can be improved moreover it is a decent place with great location.

Room is at nice and affordable.only you have to aware don't open the window may be some unwanted guest can come means monkey.otherwise all okk. Thank you

I booked this hotel for my parents as it was near to ridge and church for dates 14-16th December 2022. The room was clean everything was provided the staff was very helpful and the receptionist was very good for communicating with them as per their needs.
Overall nice hospitality and accomdation with good view from window.

I must say if you looking at good location near church, so you must visit this hotel as staff is good and thier food and service is perfect, also they have budget rooms available. This is my personal experience because I visit Shimla monthly and I always prefer to stay this place.

I booked it directly by calling their number and i think it was the best decision. Verey accessible from the Main Mall road, very convenient to reach the square where there is church. Cost effective. In offseason of monsoon, i got a deal of INR 24,00 TRIPLE BED ROOM with breakfast. The staff is very polite. Place is neat, clean, hygienic. I'd definitely recommend this place and visit here again if I'm in Shimla.

It is located in a very convenient location. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Rooms are spacious and we had a nice valley view. Restaurant is great with mountain and valley view and good food. Highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel is at very prime location. It is very near to The Ridge shimla. For me IGMS shimla is at walking distance.

1. Cold rooms
2. Average rooms
3. Not even clean
4. We had booked 4 rooms out of those only one room was okay to stay, others were more than worst.
5. They will only look the ways to charge you more and more.
6. Service is good, hotel owner denied after commitment to extra mattresses, available bedsheets were untidy everywhere dust in room, sockets were broken.
Okay one question, can I give half or no star at all here?

Rooms are ok, food of the hotel restaurant is really delicious, dal makhani must try, located at very good place at the mall road shimla. We also write the compliment to the hotel about the food. #varuksha

I was a solo traveller and i found this property as a very good hotel to stay in Shimla.
Right from my interaction with owner Rajit Singh, Managers and all other staffs of hotel Diplomat, Shimla were extremely friendly and helpful.

If you want hassle free stay so don't worry you are on the heart of the city you'll find Wood crafts nearby two minutes walk to the Ridge shimla Hotel Diplomat serves good food and Wine and cocktails etc.

Room Service was amazing, exactly at mall road hardly 5 minute walk

Everything was clean, owner was polite and helpful

Very bad and dirty rooms. Request you all do not book this dirty hotel. Bathroom also very dirty and some windows covered by newspaper. And if you have already booked room then please check rooms before check-in. And in reality beer bar is not of this hotel it's another property. Thanks

Too smelly Room, no Hot water facility, blanket and Pillows were too dirty and Dusty, food quality is not good at all. Staff is not co operative. In this range you can get better other hotel

Dirty rooms, hotel staff is not good, rude behaviour price is too high as compared to their dirty and unhiegemic rooms and poor staff.

No clean rooms, too smelly rooms, no hot water facility, blankets and pillows were too dirty like hell. Rooms not given which they book on the time of pre payment. Food quality not good at all. And the most imp thing is we worn mask at this pandemic but even then we have to pay chalan at the time when we standing inside the hotel, not safe from every point, dont choose this hotel at every cost

Its located at good location. Triple beded rooms are good and big in size. But room service is not good. Intercom not working, TV not working.

Rooms are very pathetic as well as the service. Only good thing is the location near to mall road

First of all, the manager of the hotel was very arrogant, misbehaving, egoistic n rude. Very unprofessional. The room given to me was very dirty, stinky bed. It wasn't that room of Rs 2000 which I booked. Even there was no telephone in the room for room service.visit this hotel at your own risk.

Nothing is good to say except it is on Mall Road. Bad service, dirty room. In bathroom, there was water leakage.

This place was very average the washrooms were dirty and the room smelled a little. Also, the walls were really thin that resulted in alot of noises. However, the staff was courteous.

Very much expensive according to the services provided. They are looting for 2200 /night and they don't even provide proper toiletries. Hotel room was too airy and we were unable to close window because a wire was passing through.

Little bit expensive hotel but facilities are good.there is not parking due to situated at top location near flag point road manali.contacts are available and you can also book the hotel online and get discounts.hotel is at cool location of mountain views but if you book online please confirm that they are giving you the mountain view room or not otherwise they gives the side facing rooms.

I won't say it is very good nor would I say it is very bad. It is actually a budget hotel. The major advantage is its location. It is in lakkar bazaar very close to Mall Road and drop off from taxi is also not bad. But the place needs over hauling. Some rooms are better than others. Don't expect too much but in budget with good location it is good choice. Food is good. Staff is nice

Really Very Nice Hotel. Staff Mainly Receptionist Waiter is very Honest and no Hungry. No Demand any tip Even when I Gave him he have hesitation.

DISGUSTING, the worst hotel I've ever slept in. The bed had blood stains, bugs everywhere, used towels in bathroom and more dust on the floor then on the street and mold in the bathroom. The owner should be embarrassed by the lack of care of his property. This hotel should be shut down. Pictures explain everything.

The Hotel is good because some rooms have mountain view and location is also good and easily accessible but rooms are very compact. Good as a budgeted hotel.

The hotel staff was highly uncooperative with our requests. It wasn't clearly stated that vehicles are not allowed to Mall Road where the hotel is situated. We had several elderly people in our group and the hotel still refused to arrange for travel to the hotel. They were inconsiderate and arguing over the price of complimentary tea at the time if check out.

An OK OK Hotel with nearly non servicing staff and services. Only best thing is location - near Church (however climbing mall road is tiring in itself, but it cannot be blamed as govt banned vehicle entries)

Wrost.rooms are so dirty.so small.food are not eatble wrost.we stay two days in 4 rooms with MAP plan, breakfast only puri sabji one day which is not surve properly u have stand as beger infront of kitchen door.another day only alo paratha with curd.no buffet system arrangement.we paid 24000 for two days in four rooms.not suggested to stay with family.bathroom are so unhygienic.no water at bathroom.becareful.u need to pay Collie 1000 to carry the bags reached the hotel. Car not reached at spot of hotel. Please dont go with family.mosquito are good. No proper light arrangement at room. Even door u need to lock with key at night.

24 hour water supply is NOT available here. Suppose you return to hotel on 12pm night, you won't have water to clean your feet or toilet flush.

Only advantage of this hotel is, this is closed to Ridge road.and good valley view.ambience of the room os not so good.

I personally booked this hotel by reading the reviews.
There is no proper response from the staff. They kept us waiting without giving a room for 2 hours, though rooms are available.
Gained a very bad experience

- fly in soup; even though offered a different kind of soup for replacement, they served not only the previous kind of soup but also the same bowl (there had been some other weird thing in it and it was in this replacement serving, as well), only without the saucer on which I'd placed the dead fly. See photo.

- under construction; hammering and drilling throughout the day, and still going on at 8: 45 pm, at which point I left and found a better place. I had already paid before receiving the key, in preparation for staying for the whole night.

- manager seemed upset seeing my window open; even though I had not touched it - it was open like that when I was given the room. Leaving, he left slamming the door to my room. Accidentally?

- had been quoted 1200 rupees 10 days before.when I came, wanted 2000 rupees. I left, then the owner said 1200 is ok. I agreed. They did not mention the construction noise. With all the construction commotion, even the nice view doesn't provide enough peace and quiet to get good sleep or be able to concentrate for work.

— I waited from 10: 15am until 1: 15pm to be given the room.

— light in bathroom was only intermittently working

— service in bar and restaurant extremely slow and unattentive

Loved the experience.staff is too helpful. I would personally recommend to call the hotel and do the booking for best experience. Hotel incharge Rajit would be the POC.please do ask for best view as they have amazing view from the hotel. Highly recommended.if u are visiting Shimla, Mall road.

Very very worse Hotel, Bed is too bad, as staff behaviour is too bad, rooms are in very bad conditions, you can't rest in rooms. There is nothing single point good in hotel, never go in Diplomat hotel

It is one of the worst hotel in shimla. It is my request all viewers not to be entrapped as us. We gave full payment in advance as we would occupy two days in this hotel and the owner promised us to give a clean and view room. But in practical, they only offered us a basement room without view and it was dirty and a window had covered with a torn cloth. When we protested, they firmly told that they couldn't give other room. The bathroom gyser was rusty.they did not bother to hear our any complain.please don't waste your money in this damp room.

I wish I could have give no star but as it is default I have to give a star. Worst experience I had in hotel. Bathrooms were dirty. No heater provided. We had to fight for heaters in our room and end up paying 300 bugs for a single heater for a overnight. Although food was good and reasonable but room services were pathetic. No clean bedsheets no towel, room floor dirty. Location is good but overall pathetic experience in hotel. Not recommended for anyone unless if one wants to waste money in such hotel.

I usually don't point out mistakes after the stay, hence I don't review at all.
But this was the first time I thought to write for the same.

Reason being, this stay was not worth at all. Booked at ₹1200 in last week of April, 2018.1. Booked a standard room which was not even below-standard.
Place was filthy with no Fan, no AC, no Intercom (Room 121), no TV (Changed to room 106 after 121), small sofa was torned & covered by a piece of cloth, table glass was broken, little geyser & water problem was there too.

2. After shifting to room 106 I've asked the room service guy for fresh water, extra towel & toiletries.
Well as expected, he never showed up again during our entire stay.

3. Last but not the least, Hotel Diplomat have some 'self stated policy' to not allow their guests to step out after 11pm and on top of that have totally unprofessional & arrogant staff.

This is what happened,
Gaurd/Staff locked the main gate from inside.
I asked him to open the door as I wanted to go outside around 11: 15pm.
Instead he asked me the reason for my visit. Like seriously?
I said, I'm not answerable to you, so you better open the door & do what you are paid for or call the manager.
Well after a 5mint long argument he opened the door & let me go out, but said few things as follows:
- We don't open after 11 o'clock until its emergency, but we allow check-in to our customers at 1am also.
- After smashing the door on me when I was leaving, he added 'Ghumo ab saari raat bahar'.
Then I made him listen what he deserved and was appropriate for that moment.
After which he switched using the words as 'Bhaiya/Sir'.

So,
Being aware and educated customers in this internet bookings era.
I personally don't think that we should promote such hotels who are just looting us without providing facilities which are least expected and keeping their staff without any formal training to cut their cost and save some more bucks.
Also
Goibibo should blacklist such properties & don't make claims as 'goStays Certified' or '100% Moneyback Guarantee' without visiting the hotels to fool their customers.
